With the bride and groom gone, all that was left for Lady Jaelah to do is see the guests off.

Standing outside along with the elders, Jaelah thanked the guests for showing up to celebrate her daughter's wedding.

Normally this would have been done by the mother and father of the bride, but time and again Mano has proven that he wants no part in their daughter's wedding.

Doing this by herself, Jaelah vowed that the minute Kamryn becomes the Empress the first thing she will do is have Mano under her feet.

With all the guests finally gone and the servants cleaning up the mess, Lady Jaelah and Lula made their way to their courtyard for a nice hot bath and sleep.

Regrettably, they will see neither as their house was now off-limits.

After having his steward clean out their courtyard, Mano had the household guards placed around the gate blocking anyone from getting inside without his permission.

Jaelah and Lula stood outside their courtyard's gate, confused by the sight before.

"What is going on here? Why are you standing outside my house!?" Jaelah asked as she stomped towards the first guard she saw.

"Lady Jaelah, we are just following orders. Please, leave the area." The guard's short response, of course, didn't satisfy her.

"Leave the area!?... Where am I supposed to go if not my house, move out of the way!" Exhausted from a day of fake smiling and catering to guests, Jaelah decided to push her way through.

Seeing what Jaelah was about to do, the guard drew his sword from his side and aimed it at Jaelah's throat.

"Ahhh!..."

"Lady Jaelah, please don't force our hands. If you continue to try and push your way in, we are left with no other choice but to use force. We have our orders."

Both Jaelah and Lula stepped back from the threat of the guard's sword.

"Whose orders!? Don't you know who I am!" Jaelah screamed.

"By orders of the clan leader, Lord Mano." The guard gave his answer then returned to his spot. Giving Lady Jaelah and Lula no more of his time.

"WHAT!? Mano dare to ban me from my home! Where is he!? Is he at that Sl*T's house!..." Not receiving an answer, Jaelah just went towards Lady Lyra's courtyard anyway with Lula followed close behind.

It was unknown if Lady Jaelah had a six sense or if she just made a lucky guess, but Lord Mano really was at Lady Lyra's house.

Resting with Lyra wrapped in his arms, Mano hasn't felt this relaxed in days.

Placing a light kiss on her neck, Mano draws Lyra deep into his arms as he felt himself slipping in a deep sleep.

"MANO!...MANO!....." The angry shouts of Lady Jaelah coming from the courtyard's gate washed away his peace.

"Ugh...!" He tried hard to block out the yelling, but to no prevail.

"Mano..." Lyra moved from out of his arms.

"I know, obviously she didn't think I was serious with my words to her the other day...Don't worry, I'll deal with her." Mano left the warmth of Lyra's bed and threw on a robe to see his first ex-wife.

Due to all of Lady Jaelah's shouting, practically the whole courtyard was now up.

Pia who knows never to disturb Lady Lyra when Lord Mano is sleeping over, knocked on Lyra's bedroom door to seek help.

"My Lady..."

"En... Come in, Pia." Lyra had already put on her robe and shoes when Pia walked in.

"My Lady... Lady Jaelah is standing outside the gate, demanding to come in. I have already told her that you were sleeping, but she refuses to go until she sees...Lord Mano." Pia swung her eyes towards the man with his back towards her.

Blowing out a sigh, Lyra looked away from Mano.

"Show her to the meeting room and have her wait for our arrival."

With Pia gone, Lyra made her way back to Mano's side.

"Are you ready?" She wrapped her arms around his waist.

"En. This has been a long time coming, I might as well get it over with..." Wiping away the exhaustion from his face, he regained his composure and became the majestic man she always admired.

Side by side, they walked out of the Lyra's bedroom.
