Mika and Saavi had entered the meeting room through the side door just as Lady Jaelah had begun her ranting.

They hid behind one of the bookcases as they listen to the conversation.

"You will remove the guards from my courtyard... and you will beg for my forgiveness because if you don't your precious Amara clan will be over..."

"Stupid woman..." Mika smirked, liking that Jaelah was making this much easier for her and her father.

Jaelah straightens herself from her bend over position and looked down her nose at Mano's silent form.

"Does she really think they can do whatever the h.e.l.l they want now that Kam-"

"Shh..." Mika covered Saavi's mouth as her father's steward, Elaith, came running through door.

Holding out the paperwork in his hands, he presented it to his lord.

"Was everything handled...?" Mano took the paperwork from Elaith hands skimming over the doc.u.ments.

"Yes, sir. Everything is in order and has been approved by the governor..." Out of breath from running all over the place for his Lord, Elaith eyed the tea on the table. He wanted so badly to soothe his parched throat.

"My lord, may I?" Pointing to the tea.

As Elaith soothe his throat and Mano looked over the paperwork, Lady Jaelah was confused.

Shouldn't he begging her now, instead of looking over his doc.u.ments...? Does he think she is playing around!?

Jaelah grabbed the closest item to her, which happens to be a teacup and threw it down on the floor.

"Mano, you can not just throw me out!" Jaelah pushed Lula out of the way as she stomped towards her now ex-husband.

"M-My things...." Remembering the guards stationed outside her courtyard, Jaelah realized what he had done.

This time though she didn't make it far, the two guards tripped and restrained Jaelah on the floor.

Lula looked at her struggling mother on the floor and her proud father sitting in his chair.

To her, the answer was easy, without her mother always pus.h.i.+ng Kamryn forward, she will be the one to receive all the attention in the household now.
