When Lady Jaelah left his palace, Thallan decided it was time to make a trip to the imperial palace. His deal with his mother-in-law done, Prince Thallan felt he could now give his attention to other matters. Like why his brother was summoned by their father to the imperial palace?

Whistling and happy tune, Thallan walked down the royal palace's halls on the way to meet his father when he spotted his sister Tiriana.

Thallan watched and waited as Princess Tiriana spoke to one of the clan leaders the capital for a long time.

On the way back to his room after the party was over, Tiriana stopped him to thank him for supplying to ingredients for her dish. He didn't understand, he never even knew she was going to cook that dish.

Tiriana just smiled and walked away. When he reached his room and wanted to say good night to his favorite pet, all he found saw an empty cage full of dark feathers. That's when he knew his sister had served him his pet for dinner. He threw up everything that he ate and to this day he refuses to eat poultry dishes.

Thallan looked at his sister and cursed. He wanted so badly to gouge out those onyx eyes of her and serve them to her on a plate, but for now he had to settle with finding out what she was up to.

When the clan leader and Princess Tiriana parted ways, Thallan waited a few moments before following after her.

He followed her from the gardens to the kitchens through the hallways and finally saw her enter a room.

Looking around to make sure n.o.body else was in the hallway, he crack the door open a few inches to he looked inside.

"Thallan, why don't you join us?" Tiriana's voice caught Thallan by surprised just as he was peeking in.

"Thallan?" His father asked.

"I have something to discuss with you…" He said as he threw Tiriana a scathing look before facing his father again.

Thallan had only been paying attention to Tiriana and his father, he didn't realize that some else was in the room as well as.

"Prince Thallan." Lord Narbeth stood up from he seat and bowed in Thallan's direction.

Seeing his future father-in-law in a room with his sister and father, bode danger to his senses.

Watching his father watch him with Lula made a slight red tint come to his cheeks.

"Actually dear brother, it is… The clan leaders have been complaining about the crown prince's lack of responsibility and honor." She nodded towards Lord Narbeth, making Thallan choke.

"What!?" He stood up from his chair, "Lord Narbeth, you have to know that this is a attempt to smear my name!"

"Quiet! ...and sit down." Rych.e.l.l slammed his desk, "Who has given you the confidence to yell in my presence."

"Father, I-" Thallan tried to explain himself, but his father didn't want to hear any of it.

"Quiet… What you have done, does not look good on the royal family. Clan leaders are already pet.i.tioning for your removal as crown prince."

"Father..!" Rych.e.l.l held up his hand to stop his son's further protest.

"You have caused this problem. Do you think I want to deal with my son's love affairs! Just having this conversation, disgust me…" Rych.e.l.l took a breath before turning to Lord Narbeth.

"General Narbeth, you want to dissolve the engagement of your daughter and Thallan…"

"Lord Narbeth! That is not necessary…!" Thallan turned to look at Lord Narbeth.

"Prince Thallan, when you married Miss Kamryn ahead of my daughter, Lensa, you said that you had fell in love with her. I understood this as I myself have four wives...however, from this video I can see that is not true!" Narbeth thought about his daughter's face when she saw the video of Prince Thallan and used that to fuel the anger in his eyes.

He wasn't planning to stop the engagement, but it couldn't hurt to seek out some benefits from this mess.

"Lord Narbeth, you nor Lensa need to pay any attention to this matter...I have already handled the situation. You won't hear about that young miss again." Thallan rea.s.sured, he needed Lord Narbeth's army behind him. He never thought the love-obsessed Lensa would pull out of their engagement.

"Brother, that is not right. Think about that young miss, everyone has seen her face and her actions. No one will want to marry her… Do you really want to be the crown prince who ruined a young girl's future?" Tiriana interrupted Thallan before he could explain that he worked it all out with his mother-in-law.

"Tiriana, shut up!" Thallan whispered to his sister.

"Father, I have here a pet.i.tion from the clan leaders for brother to take responsibility for the young girl by marrying her." Tiriana presented a doc.u.ment with numerous signatures.

"Tsk!" Lord Narbeth clicked to teeth and looked away.

Rych.e.l.l looked down at the doc.u.ment his daughter placed on his desk and sighed. He knew Tiriana was doing this to stop the marriage between Lensa and Thallan, but if his son didn't royally f**k up she never would have gotten the chance.

"Thallan, you will marry the girl. The royal family will not take responsibility for your actions...and Lord Narbeth, if it would please you, how about we have Prince Thallan repay the damage to your daughter's heart with a grand royal wedding."

Thallan hung his head at his father's words, he never thought about marrying Lula; and to pay for a grand wedding for Lensa will greatly deplete his reserves.

Once the door was closed and they were alone in the hallway. Thallan turned around and walked up to his sister, invading her personal s.p.a.ce until there was nothing left but a inch between them.

"Whatever you are planning you better make sure it's perfect because I will pay you back for this."

"Brother, I am always perfect…" With that parting remark, Tiriana walked away.
