Prince Ailwin and Braeden have been stuck in the royal palace for weeks now.  Since arriving, they have only met with the King once upon arrival. 

Blocked from leaving, Ailwin and Braeden could only by their time sparring with the royal guards or walking around the palace.

When three weeks past and still the King did not call for him, Ailwin a.s.sumed his father forgot he was even here. Unable to get the meeting with his father over and done with and unable to leave, Ailwin was growing frustrated.

"Should we just sneak our way out?" Braeden suggested.

"No, I'll just be put in jail for not following his orders…" Ailwin replied as he crushed a flower in his hand while they toured the gardens.

"This can't go on. We've been away from the our men from over a month now…"

"I know, and I'm sure there have been many new soldiers placed inside our army while we have been away." Ailwin hinting at the spies his family had been integrating in his army.

"Argh! I don't think I can take this anymore!" Braeden never liked the royal palace. It always felt like eyes were watching him every minute of the day.

"Relax, he knows he can't keep us here for much longer." Ailwin tried to calm his friend's nerves.

Just as they were about to leave the garden, they spotted Princess Tiriana and Prince Thallan. 

Motioning for Braeden to keep quiet, Ailwin observe the two people.

Princess Tiriana was speaking to a Lord while Thallan followed and watched from a distance.

"Now this is interesting…" Braeden sarcastically replied.

"Let's follow them." Ailwin was too bored out of his mind these past three weeks to let this slip pa.s.s him, and knowing Thallan wasn't anywhere near Mikaela made him happy.

"En." Braeden begrudgingly tagged along.

Princess Tiriana continued to speak with the clan leader for sometime before departing to give Prince Thallan and them a wild goose chase around the palace until finally entering a room.

When Thallan opened the door and they heard the King Rych.e.l.l's voice, Ailwin and Braeden grew alert.

It had to be said that these two war-fought men weren't afraid of much but when in the presence of the King Rych.e.l.l, the hairs on the back of their necks stood at attention.

"Let's listen in…" Ailwin wanted to know what was his family up to, and if it had anything to do with why was he here?

Creeping forward they leaned their ears against the slightly opened door.

"Lord Narbeth, you nor Lensa need to pay any attention to this matter...I have already handled the situation. You won't hear about that young miss again." 

"Brother, that is not right. Think about that young miss, everyone has seen her face and her actions. No one will want to marry her. Do you really want to be the crown prince who ruined a young girl's future?" 

"Father, I have here a pet.i.tion from the clan leader for brother to take responsibility for the young girl by marrying her." 

"Wh"

"Tsk!" Lord Narbeth clicked to teeth and looked away.

"Thallan, you will marry the girl. The royal family will not take responsibility for your actions...and Lord Narbeth, if it would please you, how about we have Prince Thallan repay the damage to your daughter's heart with a grand royal wedding."

With the conversation happening inside the room, Ailwin and Braeden knew they were talking about Prince Thallan's scandal, which had them confused. 

When has the King ever stopped Thallan disgusting actions before...why would he do it now?

Hear footsteps coming closer to the door, Ailwin and Braeden moved away before being discovered. Hiding in closest room, servant's closet, they watched as Lord Narbeth walked down the hallway. A few moments later they heard the door opening again and saw Prince Thallan and Princess Tiriana in the hall taking before they too walked await. 

When they listened to Thallan' and Tiriana's parting remarks to watch each other, they laughed knowingly the real mastermind behind the video clip.

Thallan thinks Tiriana is responsible for the video...Mika has found a good scapegoat.

Waiting a couple more minutes just to be safe, Ailwin and Braeden left their hiding spot. Walking back to the room's door to listen in some more, but before they could get to the door it opened.

"Come in." Was all King Rych.e.l.l said after catching Ailwin and Braeden snooping.
