Coming out of the darkness the phantom left Adamar by himself as he sunk into the background shadows.

When Adamar no longer felt the disturbing presence anymore, he slowly opened his eyes. The smell of herbs, other compounds and the sound of people, had Adamar momentarily confused. Looking around, he soon recognized the familiar room and people moving around him. 

I'm back at work…? Wasn't I walking with...

"Hey, Adamar. Mind moving? Even if you have no work to do, you can't just take up s.p.a.ce sitting on the floor…" A co-worker joked as Adamar looked down at himself.

...why am I sitting on the floor?…

Getting up, he dusted off his clothes and walked to his lab table. 

"Hey, are you okay?" 

"Yeah…" Adamar felt something was amiss but couldn't place it. Thinking he might have doze off during work, he quickly got to finis.h.i.+ng his work.

The phantom was watching from the shadows as Adamar's subconscious mind surrendered to its memories.   

All of a sudden alarms went off as people rushed into the room. The phantom tried to see what they were running from. Yet, when he looked out the door and into the hallway all he saw was darkness, he forgot this was Adamar's memories he was reliving. It wouldn't be possible to see what Adamar didn't see.

"Adamar!" The sound of someone calling his victim's name brought the Phantom back into the laboratory, "...What are you doing? Get over here and help us with this!" A man dressed in dark grey robes called out. He and a couple other scientists in the room where preparing weapons and needles from the cabinets.

Snapping to attention at the shout from his superior, Adamar made his way through the crowd before running over to help.

Outside the door to the lab room loud noises and screams were getting closer when abruptly it went silent. The people inside the lab huddled together, afraid of making a sound.

*Boom!*

The door to the lab fell to the floor.

*Screeeeech!*

Five scientists fired beam guns as they rushed the entrance. Struggling to hold on to something, the man in dark robes yelled for Adamar's help "Quickly! Grab the injection and give it to IT!" The man pointed at the needle on the table.

"Y-Yes, s-s-sir!" Grabbing the big syringe, he moved to the source of the problem and saw a big black blob that with sharp teeth and long claws. 

Frozen at the sight before him, Adamar wanted to drop the needle and run but he caught sight of his supervisor's eyes glaring at him to hurry up. Taking hesitating steps forward until he was within range, he raise the syringe in his hand and stab to into what he hoped was the thing's arm; and swiftly injected the liquid inside.

*Screeeech!* 

A piercing wail left the thing's mouth before it collapsed to the floor. 

"Put it back in the tank, and this time make sure it doesn't get out again!" The man in dark grey robes wiped his face before patting the Adamar on the shoulder. "...Good job….good job." Taking the syringe from his hands, the man placed it back inside the lock cabinets gently.

"S-sir, what was that thing?" Adamar asked, not understanding what he just saw.

"Don't worried about it…" He supervisor caught him staring intently at the thing they just put down. 

Grabbing his arm, he pulled Adamar away from the scene and down the hallway.

"Adamar, have you look at the honey samples we gave you yet?" The man asked trying to draw Adamar's attention away from what just happened.

"....en...yes..."

"...And?" The impatience in his superior's voice had Adamar shuttering.

"The-they are too contaminated, sir." 

"All of them?"

"Yes, we can't find a healthy enough tree to give us the pure honey we need."

"Ah...d.a.m.nit…" His supervisor was wiping his hands free of all the stick sludge that coated them after touching the thing, "...listen, I plan to send you and a couple of others to the Southwestern border. "Really!" 

"Yes, you will lead the team. I will sent to the briefing later."

"Okay. Thank you, sir." Bowing to the man Adamar walked away, humming a happy tune at being in charged of such an important task.

Out from the shadows, the phantom slinking back into the room to see if it can gather any extra information. Snooping around a while longer brought him face to face with the man in dark grey robes. 

The phantom didn't know what it was, but he knew this man was trouble. He knew he needed to stay away from him in the future.

Turning his back and walking away to chase after Adamar, the Phantom didn't see the man in grey robes' eyes focus in of his departing figure before smiling.

"Interesting."

Leaving this part of Adamar's subconsciousness, the phantom continued to follow him through other memories a couple more times before making it's way out of Adamar's mind and room. 

Walking down the hallways of the Shadow Wolves' carrier, it entered another room where a man was sleeping.

Once the two fused with each other, Kaze opened his eyes and a grim look showed on his face.

"I need to alert Miss Mikaela."
