When Ailwin heard Braeden's rover crash he sped towards its location, hoping that he and his men were still live when he gets there.

Sc.r.a.p metal and gla.s.s litter the street, Ailwin saw his soldiers trying to pull themselves out from under the car while Braeden was giving them cover. The light from his rover lit up the street in front od him allowing Ailwin to see first hand what Braeden and his men were facing.

The cam didn't do the creature features justice. Ailwin felt he heart quiver a little at seeing this monster. 

Just where did this thing come from…?

"Ailwin! Get out of the way!" Braeden's voice broke him out of his trance on the monster, and he quickly veered left when the creature raised it's huge arm to smash it on his rover.

*Boom!* 

The hit created cracks in the middle of the street where his rover was.

Ailwin quickly controlled the rover to avoid cras.h.i.+ng into shops and houses along the street before coming to a stop.

*SCREEEEEEECH!* 

That roar from creature had Ailwin's ear ringing. It's was so piercing he thought he ears were going to bleed.

"Ailwin! Hurry move the rover!" Braeden's shouts made Ailwin realized that the creature was again about to attack the rover.

Looking out of the window, he could see a dark shadow racing towards him. Putting the gear in reverse, Ailwin navigated the rover backwards down the street while throwing flame sh.e.l.ls out of his window.

*BANG!* *BOOM!* *SCREEEECH!*

The constant bombardment of flame sh.e.l.ls had the monster screaming in frustration. 

Ailwin thought he could lead the creature further away from the men but after noticing that Ailwin has fire, the monster retraced its steps to run back towards Braeden and his men.

"F**K!" Ailwin stop going to reverse to racing back towards Braeden's location following after the monster.

Though Braeden had told Ailwin not to come, he was thankful he didn't listen to him. When the rover crash and flipped over, he didn't know how he would get his men out of this situation. With Ailwin distracting the monster, Braeden was able to help pull the rest of the men out of the rover.

"Sir, will the Commander be okay by himself?" The squad leader asked after seeing the monster chasing after their Commander.

"I don't know...but right now, we are no help to him…." Braeden looked at the condition of the six men in front of him.

Two of them could barely walk as their legs were damage in the crash and the rest including himself had b.l.o.o.d.y gashes and broken bones that would limit their mobility.

"We need to get off the street now…" Looking around at the area they were in, there was nothing but closed shops.

"There…!" Braeden pointed at a close down weapons shop.

There should be some gear and healing aids inside that shop.

The men helped one another towards the shop's door as Braeden broke the lock and gave them cover to get inside safely.

Searching around the inventory, Braeden and the squad leader found supply to hold off the bleed and simply patch ups. Besides that, the shop was full of swords, bows, and other weapons which the soldiers added to their gear.

*SCREEEEEECH!*

They heard roar of the monster coming back.

"General, I think it's coming back this way." All the soldiers looked at Braeden.

"Squadron leader, what time is it?" The squad leader didn't know why their General was worried about the time, but looking down at his chronometer he told Braeden the time anyway.

"Sir, it's four hours to sunrise."

"Sh*t… We need to hold out until then. Take up barricade formation. You two will cover our backs," Braeden pointed to the two men who had injures to their legs. "the rest of you will take positions to the sides...go."

Braeden prayed that Ailwin was okay, however he couldn't leave his men to help him.

*Stomp**Click**Stomp**Click*

The sound of the monster's steps drew closer. Braeden had pushed the majority of the furniture in the shop to the door to keep it closed, not that he thought it would stop the monster from cras.h.i.+ng through the shop's window.

Holding their breath and being as silent as they could be, the men waited on pin and needles to see what would happen next.

The creature came back to the spot where it left Braeden and his men, and was furious it see that they were gone.

It roared at the top of its lungs at its lost meal.

The soldiers jumped as they watch the monster take out its frustration on Braeden's rover, turning it into a ball of crush metal.

After it was finished, it moved away from their location. The soldier breathed out the breath they had been holding, but Braeden reminded them to not let down their guard.

"It's not over yet."

"Yes, sir."
