"Really....? " Kaze squeezed Adamar's shoulder, pressing down hard on it until his b.u.t.t was planted back in his seat.

Highly embarra.s.sed by the way Kaze was able to make him sit down in front of his peers, Adamar moved to punch Kaze in the face. Yet, when he stood up to do so, his arm froze in mid-action. 

Kaze's frame, that right stood in front of him, oddly reminded him of something he dreamed but he couldn't remember what. All he knew was that he was afraid of it.

"Are you planning to do something with that fist of yours, Sir Adamar…" Kaze hadn't moved an inched away from Adamar's body even when he made the move to attack him. 

"N-no, I…" Looking around at the bemused faces of his companions, Adamar fought his fears and demanded to see Prince Ailwin.

"Have Prince Ailwin come here to see me NOW, or the next person who will call him will be the King himself." Ruven threw out his biggest backer to get Kaze to comply with his whims.

"Fine." Kaze walked out the door, leaving the group alone in the office as he messaged Ailwin.

*Beep* *Beep*

Ailwin looked down at his wristband to see a message from Kaze.

"What's going on?" Mika saw the irritated expression on his face.

"You weren't the only group that entered the city last night…" Celaena looked out the small window in the room to realized that the sun was already high in the sky.

"Who else?"

"Sir Adamar and his companion are here to demand they be allowed to complete their 'research'...." Ailwin spoke as he sent a message back to Kaze.

"Who is this Adamar?" Nylian asked.

"He is one of the people, the King send for the Shadow Wolves to protect. I left them outside the city with the rest of the army because of the virus,....also because I didn't know what they were really here for."

"En…" 

"Now, they have snuck in here. How? I don't know but  I'll definitely ask my captains later. For now, I'll send them away."

"Why?" Mika questioned.

"Why what?"

"Why send them away? If they have a mission to do here, then all the more reason you should allow them the finish what they were tasked to do…" Thinking about what Mika was saying and Ailwin agreed. Everything I've been doing has gotten me nowhere, let's try it her way.

"Wait...so you going to let the King's minions run around here freely?" Hycis wanted to make sure that he was understanding the conversation.

"Yes… What better way to find out what the King is going here than to let them show us." Mika explained.

"Oh...so instead of us interrogating the spies we can just have those minions tell us." Hycis felt like for the first time since stepping foot into this room, he understood what was going on.

"No. We are still going to capture and torture some spies for information." Mika popped Hycis' bubble.

"WhWhy?" He really didn't want to torture anyone. He has never even kill anyone before.

"Why not?" Mikaela and Celaena both question back.

"...because it's wrong?"

"Is it?." Mika indifferently replied.

Hycis looked around at everyone else's faces and saw them all looking back at him.

As Hycis was questioning his moral integrity, Ailwin stood and walked to the door.

"Everyone ready?" With one last warning to put their masks on, he opened the door to a infuriated Ruven.

"Ruven, you are you doing here?" Ailwin spoke as if he was utterly surprised by Ruven presence at the door.

"Oh...um...I was just um…"

Mika walked up behind Ailwin and peeked her head out from behind his arm.

"Huh? It's you...well, good thing your here. Here," Mika had Hycis pa.s.s her the empty dirty dishes, "take this back with you."

Pus.h.i.+ng the plates and trays into his hands, Mika exited the room and began to walk down the hall. Hycis, Celaena and Nylian all filed out after her, when she reached the end of the hallway she stopped.

"Prince Ailwin, please be a dear and show me the way to the healer's center. That food is not sitting well with my stomach…food was really lacking and he was late too!" Jerking her head in Ruven's direction, "...I really should ask for my credits back."

Mika spoke everything loud and clear for everyone to hear, making Ruven's hands shake with pent-up annoyance.

Ailwin glanced over at the young 'Advisor'.

Cracks were beginning to show in his disguise. How is this girl able to make people lose their cool so fast within moments of meeting her? 

Ailwin began to remember the first time he met Mika, and smiled at the memories.

She truly is a brat.
