Mika enter the temporary center to see chaos. Healers and a.s.sistants were running all over the place while soldiers were fighting something that she couldn't see from the position where she stood. 

Searching for Ailwin, she found him standing in the middle of the room.

She didn't understand what the big deal was until she looked closer at the person standing in front of everyone. Braeden, who by Ailwin description earlier should be lying unconscious in bed, was fighting against a group of soldiers.

He tossed his subordinates around the room, while looking nothing like the fatally ill patient Ailwin said he was.

"What the h.e.l.l is wrong with him?"

"I don't know…" Ailwin stared at his friend, he could still see the signs of the infection on his body.

"Is this, maybe part of the virus?" Mika guessed.

"I don't believe so…"

"Why not?"

Ailwin pointed to the two men laying on two separate cots, unconscious. "Those two soldiers also caught the virus but they are still unconscious on the beds, showing no signs of this behavior."

Mika glanced behind her when Ruven entered the room. Recalling the his creepy smile on his face, she figured he most likely is the reason General Gilwenys is acting this way.

Did he give him something…?

She hadn't gotten a chance to look at the infected patients yet, and now there was another problem popping up. She could understand Ailwin's frustrations earlier.

"We have to stop him before he further spreads the virus." Mika gestured towards the few of soldiers who were holding deep cuts on their arms.

Watching Braeden battle the guards, Mika could see the distinct changes that were appeared on his body from the virus.

His skin has a waxy finished with dark black and blue spots covering the majority of it. His eyes seem as if they have sunken into his face, and what she could see of his hands made her quiver at the sight.

"If all this happen from him being attack by that monster you spoke of, then right now he is most likely a carrier as well." Hearing her words, Ailwin told the soldiers to stop trying to subdue their General.

With everyone backing off and no one to fight, Braeden grew more agitated rather than calming down.

Picking up a chair he flung it Ailwin' and Mika's way. 

"Watch out!" One of the guards rushed in front of Ailwin to stop the chair from hitting their Commander's head as Ailwin used his body to block the chair from hitting Mika. 

The soldier ended up taking the full brunt of the hit, knocking him out cold.

Seeing their fellow soldier down and their Commander being attack with Braeden having no intention of stopping; the rest of the guards standing in the room pulled out their weapons.

"STOP! What do you all think you're doing!?" Ailwin grabbed the arm of the closest soldier to him to stop him from aiming his sword at Braeden's chest.

"Sir...he almost killed you…"

"That is still your General! He doesn't know what he is doing right now! Put down your weapons!" Ailwin glared at the soldiers with fury in his eyes. 

No one is going to kill my friend…

The soldiers could tell that their Commander was serious. Truthfully, no one wanted to be the one to kill their General, but they didn't know what else to do.

As the soldiers were lowering their weapons, Braeden chose that time charge the group, throwing them across the room. In less than five minutes all the soldiers were either unconscious or heavily injured.

When Braeden had no one else around him to attack, so his focus zero in on Ailwin as his next target.

Nylian, who was standing in the corner with Hycis and Celaena to give the soldiers s.p.a.ce to stop Braeden, suddenly wanted to rush to Ailwin's side.

However, when he brushed pa.s.sed Mika, she held on to his arm to pull him back.

"What are you doing!?" Nylian snapped at her for stopping him.

"What are YOU doing?"

"I need to help Prince Ailwin and General Gilwenys from killing each other…!"

"Oh, yea and how will you do that?… By using your gifts?" Mika whispered.

Nylian had forgotten that they weren't alone in the room when he saw his benefactors in danger.

"SH*T!"

"If you can help them without using your gifts then go, but if you can't then stand out of the way and don't cause any trouble."

"We can't just watch from the sides and do nothing!"

"Do you think Prince Ailwin and General Gilwenys will kill each other? Even if General Gilwenys is not in his correct state of mind right now, Prince Ailwin is." Plus, she was pretty sure that Ailwin was immune to this infection, but she didn't tell him that. Mika just released her hand from Nylian's arm and waited for him to make his decision.
