Honey : The Empire's Treasure 339 Vaccination

After hanging up from Ailwin, Mika experimented with both his and Braeden's blood samples. The conclusion she came up after testing them for hours was, Ailwin is a walking cure and Braeden was slowly being transformed.

No matter what disease, virus or bacteria she put in Ailwin blood samples, they had no affect on his blood whatsoever. She even began to wonder if he has ever gotten sick when he was younger.

It makes no sense, people weren't immune to everything. However, here she was seeing it for herself. 

After a while of getting the same results from Ailwin's blood samples, she turned her attention back to Braeden's blood samples, which were now practically all black.

Under the scanner Mika had the light in the scanner up to its highest setting to see through the sample, despite this she could barely see what was going on.

Zooming in, she could see that there was few of the original blood platelets leftover in some of Braeden's samples, nonetheless, the virus was still doing quick work in destroying them. 

Watching further, the virus began to mutate and multiply at an alarming rate. Pulling her face away from the scanner, she look down at the petri dish in her hand.

With her sight alone she could see the blood was expanding and solidifying.

Sh*t! 

Mika place the petri dish on the table, she didn't bother scanning the blood any further she knew where the end result would be.

"Drago, are you there?" Mika called out you him in her head.

"Yes."

"Sigh….the monsters...they are all Fae who failed the experiment."

"So they are trying to become what they once were."

Well, if what they once were is the blob, then yes. Mika thought.

"En...but they're going a p.i.s.s poor job of it. I wonder how many people are suffering or died for centuries for this plan of theirs."

"Mikaela, I know this would be more responsibility on you, but you must stop them…" Drago spoke softly.

"Oh, don't worry about I love having all this responsibility on my shoulders. The feel of it weighting me down, is it awesome!" She replied sarcastically.

"Mikaela…"

"Don't worry, I know...I know, this needs to be stopped." Mika mentally added on to her 'To Do List': Stop Crazy Old Fae.

"All right, let me get back to work. I need to create a cure before it's too late for General Gilwenys…" 

Working nonstop, Mika created a vaccine from Ailwin's blood.

When testing it on Braeden's blood samples, it managed to help the white blood cells kill off the virus, however when she tested on the sample that had already turned black it didn't do much, but to stop the virus from multiplying.

It couldn't revert the blood to its original state.

Since the vaccine can only be used for certain stages in the transformation, Mika did waste any time and created more vaccines for the three men in sick bay.

Opening the door, Mika rushed out of her room to a jumpy Kaze.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Ruven, got away. Prince Ailwin and the soldiers are chasing him now."

Mika was silent for a few moments, Kaze thought she was nervous about the news, but really she was checking in with her nanos she placed in Ruven's body.

Getting a response, Mika then looked at Kaze, "En...let's go."

After dismantling the charms she placed around the room, Mika led Kaze back towards the healer's center.

A while after leaving the room, her nanos began to buzz.

Mika stopped in the middle of the hallway much to Kaze's confusion, causing him to b.u.mp into her.

"Wh-"

"Shh!"

Mika closed her eyes, listening to what has her pups so agitated. After sensing all her nanos location, she found that the ones she placed in Ruven were right behind her and Kaze. 

"Let's go." Mika said after a few seconds of stopping.

Kaze didn't question her further, but noticed that Mika was more guarded than when they first left the room, which made his instincts go on high alert.

It didn't take him long to realize that someone was following them.

However, at seeing as how Mika didn't want to alert their third wheel, Kaze didn't confront the person.

The two continued to walk towards the sick bay with their shadow following closely from behind.
