After catching his breath, Ruven moved deeper into the house. Having been here dozen of times before, navigating through the halls and floors were no problem on his way to find what he was looking for.

One level below the first floor, Ruven could still hear the monster trying to breaks its way inside.

Piece of s.h.i.+t...I deal with you first before dealing with that runt.

Inside one of the rooms, Ruven saw a lock chest and ran to it.

Here it is..!

Picking up a rock lying on the floor, he slammed it against the lock to crack to open.

"Bang!""Bang!""Clack"

With the lock finally off, he opened the chest and removed a layer of cloth that covered sniper gun. Loading up the ammo, he made his way back up the stairs towards the raging beast outside.

Mika stood and waited on the roof of her building until the monster made its way to the back courtyard before lighting one of the wicks on the bottles with her fire.

Ruven had just made his way to the top floor of the main residence's window when he spotted a pet.i.te figure on the rooftop holding a flaming bottle.

Oh no, she isn't!

Mika saw the movement coming from the top floor windows and realized it was Ruven. Smiling as she waved the bottle in the air, she taunted him with several fake throws as he shook his head for her to stop.

Getting tried of game and with the wick was also gone, Mika threw the bottle into the first floor's window.

*Cras.h.!.+*

Motherf***ker!

He yelled and screamed as he look to see what floor the bottle smash into. However, as he was looking down he didn't get to see Mika holding up two more bottles and throwing them to smash into two more windows.

Only upon hearing the bottles of liquor hit the windows and seeing a raging fire start, did he realize that she threw two more.

The noise from the bottles and windows breaking along with the fire eating up the residence, drew the monster back to the front of the house.

Though the monster was afraid of the fire, it also knew its prey had to come out of the house to escape the fire.

Seeing Ruven in the window, get waited for him to make his escape.

Ruven really wish he could wring Mika's little neck. 

How can someone be so evil!?

Feeling the heat from the fire on the lower floors working its way up, there was no other choice but to break the window and climb down from the top floor. 

Noticing its prey was about to jump, the monster wanted to get closer but the flames and smoke from the building made it impossible.

Choosing to stand just out of the way of the blazing fire, the beast waited for Ruven to come its way. 

Thinking on his feet, Ruven used the billowing smoking to hide himself from the monster's eyes as he made his escape towards the building Mika was in.

By the time the monster realized it's been too long since its saw its prey jump, Ruven was already halfway up the stairs to the roof where Mika was waiting.

Gripping the rifle tightly in his hands, he planned to shoot Mika until there would be nothing left.

He didn't even care to see her face anymore as he charge up the last few stairs to slam open the door.

Mika stood on the roof waiting the poor fool to show up.

"This time I'll make sure that you'll die." Holding up the rifle, Ruven pulled the tigger.

Mika didn't bother to run. When the gun went off, she simply bent her upper body backwards and using a little force of wind to make the projectile deviate off course. Smoothly avoided the ten rounds he shot her way.

I knew watching that movie so many times would come in handy!

Watching the weird movements that allowed Mika to miss all his shot, drove Ruven pa.s.s the point of no return.

Throwing the gun to the side, Ruven pulled out his daggers. Out of force of habit, he wanted to teleport to her side and stab her in the chest but when he saw he wasn't going anywhere he remembered that he couldn't. Which made him even more furious.

That's right…. All this trouble I'm going through is because I can't use my power! What the h.e.l.l did she do to me!?

"Don't bother trying to teleport. You should know by now that it's impossible."

"What did you do to me!" Ruven was furious and panicking at the same time. He has never once been without his power to teleport. 

It was his security against any of dire situations he would face. Knowing that he could always spirit himself away from the trouble was his greatest confidence.

It was also the reason his bosses made him do most of the dangerous jobs.

Being without his power to teleport, he felt a sense of unease go through him.
