Honey : The Empire's Treasure 352 Sleep Where

Inside the room where she left her trunk, Mika and Ailwin found Hycis, Celaena and Nylian gathered around the common room. When they heard the door opening, they hands reached for their weapons until they saw Ailwin and Mikaela walk in.

"You're back!" Hycis got up the help Ailwin with the books and bag.

"En...How did it go with the advisors?" Mika asked. She and Ailwin didn't get the chance to discuss this due to Ruven whisking her away then the monster came, and finally the bas.e.m.e.nt they found at the Bizana residence.

"It went well…" Ailwin responded, "By the way, what was in that drug you gave us?" Ailwin asked, remembering how easily the prisoners gave up all the information they knew.

"A little bit of this, a little bit of that...why, you like?" Mika threw a smile his way. 

"En. Please give me more." He could guess what she will asked for in return for the drug, but it would be worth it.

"Sure, sure." Mika said as she took her place on the couch.

"Here." Celaena held out her wristband to Mika. She transferred over the recording they took of the interrogation to Mika's wirstband.

Once it was fully downloaded, she watched a little bit of the advisors confessions. Observing the drug's reaction time and symptoms, she began to think  about ways to teak her formula make it stronger result.

Stopping the video a quarter of the way through, Mika look towards Celaena.

"Did you get the answers you were looking for?"

Celaena dropped her head down low as she though about it, "Somewhat... I can't say for sure if its the same virus that my hometown faced, but I can't deny that the similarities are way too coincidental for it not to be related."

"En... I agree. I believe these people have been doing this for quite some time."

Mika didn't want to let everyone know what she and Drago guessed what these group of people were doing yet.

She didn't have much evidence right now to prove her hypothesis correct, except for the voice in her head telling her so, and that definitely wouldn't go over well.

"Besides that, what are these….and what's in the bag?" Hycis pointed at the books and bag he helped Ailwin bring in.

"They are things that I have found in the Bizana clan home. I plan to research their findings and hopefully get a good grasp on why they were doing the experiments."

"Can I see?" Celaena said, already reaching for a book.

"En." 

Besides Celaena, Hycis and Nylian also pick up a book to read what was inside.

Leaving them be, Mika left her seat to walk into the bedroom silently with the bag. She had left all her tools and equipment out in the open, when she rushed to get the vaccine to General Gilwenys and the two soldiers.

Starting the tedious task of cleaning and stored away her things back into the trunk, Mika took extra care to secure away her samples from the monster. Letting her friends to look through the books was fine, but seeing a brain was another subject.

With them leaving in two days, there wouldn't be much time to do so later. It would be better to make sure everything is secured away now in her trunk, so she can examine them better when she gets back to school.

In the common room after Mika had left, her three companions looked through the books with no real grasp of what they were looking at. It wasn't until they came across pages filled with photos of the experiments done, that Hycis and Nylian realize what the information at the begin meant.

Closing the books in their hands and placed them back on the table, they couldn't take anymore of the pictures.

Celaena on the other hand, found interest in one particular photo.

It was of a patient that had a series of marks on his body's that was oddly similar to the marks her mother's.

Taking a picture of the picture, she saved it to show to her brother later.

This might be what we have been searching for…

She took additional photos of the book before closing it and placing with the rest.

Once Mika was done packing and everything was safely secured away, she tugged the heavy trunk out of the bedroom.

Seeing everyone in their own thoughts, Mika took the books away and secured them also away inside the trunk.

"We will leave in two days." Ailwin said out of nowhere to the group. "There is really nothing else for us to see here. It's time to go."

"En..." Everyone nodded their head. It was time to go back home.

Catching sight of the relief in everyone's eyes, Ailwin released the breath he had been holding onto.

"Since it's already so late, you guys turn in for the night…" Ailwin said to Mika and Celaena. "You two, follow me." He pointed to Hycis and Nylian as he got up and walked to the door.

"What? We're not sleeping here?" Hycis questioned. He was tired and he didn't want to move anymore. 

Ailwin stopped in his tracks and threw the young man a vicious look. As if to say, you'll sleep in the same room as my fiancee when you're dead.

"O-o-oh!...Right, right. What was I thinking? Of course we will follow you out!..heh..he..." Hycis jump out of his seat like it was on fire when he felt Ailwin's power putting pressure on him.

Ailwin continued glare at Hycis like he wanted to chop him into tiny pieces.

Like h.e.l.l, I'll leave these two in a room with my fiancee.

While Ailwin was giving Hycis and Nylian new quarters to sleep in, on the roof of the government building, a lone bird waited for Ruven.

When it waited long enough and he didn't show, the bird flew back to where it came from with the unread message.
