Fatal Shot Chapter 132 - Is It Dawn?

The second half of the night in Roguetown was nothing close to peaceful.

From time to time, the sounds of howling and cries for help were heard from different locations. It only ended just before daybreak. However, when the sun rose from the horizon and shed light on this town deep in the jungle, its scenery, which had once been famous for its sightseeing, had turned into something else.

The originally clean and neatly paved limestone street was now filled with debris and garbage. Pools of blood and trails of footprints of dried blood could be seen here and there.

Some of the roadside stalls had been smashed, and the goods inside were a total mess. Some of the walls were painted black with dried bloodstains. It seemed as if some creature had invaded the place or someone had fled and hid here last night.

A patrol car that had lost communication was seen driving along the streets. It kept using the built-in speakers to announce that the events of the night before had been caused by a monster intrusion, and it had been taken care of. The voice claimed that there was no need to panic.

However, these efforts were in vain. For as soon as dawn broke, all the tourists took their luggage and rushed to the exit points outside town.

Roguetown was severely damaged.

“Won’t we be at risk of being exposed as soon as all these people leave?” Mu Zi said with a low voice as he walked through the streets with Feng Luo and Sister Rui.

Feng Luo shook his head and said to both of them, “Brother Lin and his men formed three teams to the hospital and a few other places. Our target is only the guard station.”

Feng Luo noticed that they were in a blind spot. So far, they had only been thinking about evidence in the form of materials. They even thought about recording the crime scene through the terminal. They had not considered that if they could find someone to testify, it would be just as effective.

This had been confirmed by the two conversations he had tapped via the scout beetle. If he could testify against Umbrella Corporation, half of the city-building mission would be considered done.
