As the night grew deeper, many villagers who had worked hard in the fields all day were all heading home. “Chen Yan, don’t do anything foolish. Jiahang has recovered the use of his voice and he has become so clever. He’s also very handsome, so he’s very popular with the girls. We heard that you ran away to Ye City, so there are many people eager to introduce him to the girls in town,” Aunty Chen said. She waved goodbye to them and Aunty Chen said politely, “You should come over for a meal one day, Chen Yan.”
