The man raised his whip but before the whip could land on the woman, his fellow accomplices held him back.

“Brother Hui, stop it! This woman is not in good health and if you beat her to death, we wouldn’t be able to get any money out of her,” his accomplice was a man named Li Tie. He was obese and had a greasy face.

Teng Hui finally retracted his whip with a cold scoff and looked fiercely the women they had captured or tricked into coming here.

“Listen up, finish your food if you don’t want to be eaten and behave yourselves. You better pray that you’d be bought by someone here, and those who don’t have buyers will be sold to T country as slaves,” he warned loudly.

His words made the women even more terrified. They shrank back and trembled in fear.

Tears rolled down their cheeks in the dim room but none of them dared to make a sound. They cried softly and their cheeks were stained with tears while many of them had cried until their eyes were swollen.

The sound of footsteps could be heard outside and soon, the door opened.

A chilly breeze entered the room.

Three people entered the room. They were a middle-aged woman and two young men. One of the men seemed around 30 years of age and was around 165 CM in height. His skin was very dark and had a burly figure. He was indeed an ugly man with pockmarks and a knife scar on his face. This man was named w.a.n.g Zhi. He was already 35 years old, the only son of his family, and had yet to take a wife.

w.a.n.g Zhi’s eyes gleamed brightly the moment he entered. His eyes looked around s.h.i.+ftily and his gaze never left the women who were huddled against the corner of the wall. He even walked over to take a closer look.

The women quickly looked down. This man’s looks disgusted them.

w.a.n.g Zhi finally stopped in front of a woman who didn’t seem afraid of him and didn’t speak.

He reached out and wanted to lift her chin to take a closer look.

However, the moment he bent down, his fifty-year-old mother pulled him back.

“She won’t do,” the woman said fiercely and dragged her son back.

“She’s too skinny and her head is injured. We want to purchase a healthy woman,” the middle-aged woman said seriously. Then, she walked toward the women who were huddled together and after her gaze combed over these women, she finally pointed at a decent-looking woman with a slightly stocky build and was one of the younger ones in the group and said, “We’ll take number 6. Please send her over today.”

Then, she threw the bag of cash she held in her hands to Teng Hui.

Teng Hui accepted the money and his lips curved into a sinister smile. He opened the bag and handed over the wads of cash to the two men behind him who were supposed to count the money.

After his accomplices confirmed that the middle-aged woman had paid the correct amount, he waved his hand.

Soon, his two accomplices took out a metal chain from the crossbeam and pulled number 6 who was huddled on the ground.

Number 6 was a 24-year-old woman named Yang Min. She kept trying to push the man who held her away and shrieked loudly in terror and panic when she realized that she had been purchased by that ugly man.

“Let me go… let me go. You’re all a bunch of b.a.s.t.a.r.ds. I’ll kill you…” she shouted at the man who held her. She widened her bloodshot eyes as though she wanted to murder them.

However, the man quickly quelled her attempts to resist him and in less than two minutes, she was held by two men and dragged out of the room.
