When they were running, they saw many bloodsuckers running around and biting people. The bitten would fall on the ground like ragged dolls and wake up as a bloodsucker. The vampires were multiplying at a terrifying speed. They had been lucky so far in avoiding the vampires.

They watched the scene with horror. The woman asked her, "Is this the end?"

"I am afraid so."

Huang Qiuyan wondered if she was going to die before she turns thirty. She would die a virgin. She felt a tinge of regret. She wanted to experience life more. The apocalypse was happening. If she had known that all of her struggles were in vain, she would have enjoyed her life instead of trying so hard to get married.

It wasn't all that bad. At least, aunties couldn't gossip about her anymore.

When the student isn't prepared for the exam and the exam is cancelled suddenly, the student can't help but feel lucky.

Huang Qiuyan was trying to look at the positive side. In her eyes, she couldn't fail her mother's expectations. It's not her fault that Zhao Zhu got bitten and turned into a vampire.

They saw a man charging in their direction. It wasn't hard to guess that he was a vampire. His dead eyes and unchanging expression combined with anaemic skin and glistening pointy fangs were a dead giveaway. He was about to lunge at Huang Qiuyan when the woman shrieked loudly, "Oh, No!"

The vampire was distracted by her high-pitched voice. He plunged on her instead. He clasped on to her arms by his claws and bit onto her neck. The woman cried once before her expression changed again. She started moaning in rapture while the vampire drank from her.

"..." Huang Qiuyan felt awkward. The woman sounded like she was enjoying it, but she would die at this rate. When it happened to Zhao Zhu, she wasn't prepared. But now, she understood what was happening. She collected herself and found a random brick. She slammed it against the vampire's head. Hard.

The brick broke into half. The vampire didn't even feel it.

Huang Qiuyan didn't give up. She found a metal rod and swung it against the vampire's head. This time, he looked up. He tossed her on the road and took a step toward her. The woman didn't react when she fell.

She managed to distract him. The woman would live, but what about her? She only had a metal rod in her hand. She clenched her teeth. She wasn't going down without a fight. She looked at him from top to down for a weakness.

"You could have a t.i.tanium body, but what about that thing?" She hit him between his male parts with the metal rod mercilessly.

The vampire didn't see it coming. His swollen eyes bulged out. He let out an animalistic howl. If he could cry, he would have cried the tears of blood. He covered his male part with his hands and squatted on the ground. He started wailing and squawking like a wounded animal.

'I might have a talent for baseball.' Huang Qiuyan was proud of herself.

She rushed to the woman. The woman was lying on the ground in an awkward position. Her eyes were turning red and puffy. Huang Qiuyan understood what was happening. The woman was turning into a vampire. Just a bite from a vampire was enough to turn someone into a vampire.

The male vampire was getting up. She wanted to run this time. He probably guessed her plans. He appeared in front of her in the blink of an eye and blocked her path.

'Great, they also have super speed.'

Huang Qiuyan looked at her metal rod, her only saviour.

He sneered at her. Huang Qiuyan didn't respond. She had only one thought. She would turn into unmarried mindless crazy dead bloodsucker if she gets bitten. That was not acceptable to her.

"Ha Ha..." She laughed. Her eyes were filled with tears.

"I, Huang Qiuyan, had everything planned. A man wanted to marry me. I was almost happy before that man's ex-vampire girlfriend decided to crash our date. Everything was going smoothly until you crazy vampires decided to ruin my life."

The vampire wasn't affected by her complains. He didn't understand her words. He only had one thought: blood. He opened his mouth. Huang Qiuyan tried to count his teeth. He snarled at her. She decided to break his teeth.

"Do you have t.i.tanium teeth, huh? Let's find out." Huang Qiuyan was frustrated and angry.

She shoved the metal rod in his mouth and twisted it. The vampire was visibly appalled. He tried to pull it out. She kicked him between his legs again and shoved the metal rod deeper into his throat. He fell on his a.r.s.e and choked. She pressed her foot on his throat and pushed the rod deeper.

"I refuse to become someone's food," She told the vampire.

When she thought that she could escape, someone pushed her from behind. She was sent flying like a football. She rammed against the wall and fell on the side of the road. She heard her bones cracking.

Huang Qiuyan was in agony. She still opened her eyes. She saw the woman standing above the vampire.

'I am going to die.'

That was her only thought before she lost her consciousness.

The male vampire was enraged. He didn't have high intellect or awareness. He turned into a vampire only thirty minutes before he came across Huang Qiuyan and the other woman. In his mind and body, there was only hunger for blood. He was simply following his nose and instinct when he charged at these two women.

However, he was unfortunate to come across a woman like Huang Qiuyan. She didn't hold back when she struck him with the metal rod. It didn't matter whether he was a vampire or not. When the metal rod hammered his male part, he felt so much pain that he couldn't walk properly. Then, she went ahead and smashed his teeth.

The vampire wanted to bite the ugly woman to death. Alas! His pointy teeth were already broken by Huang Qiuyan.

Of course, there was another vampire in the area. The new female vampire pulled the male vampire by the back of his collar and flung him away like a basketball. The unlucky vampire didn't even know what happened before he landed on the other side of the road on his a.r.s.e. His legs parted widely when he landed on the concrete. The female vampire heard the sound of ripping mixed with lamenting cries of the male vampire.

The female vampire sped to the unconscious Huang Qiuyan. She leaned down and bit wrist. Huang Qiuyan groaned, but she didn't struggle. Her warm blood filled the female vampire's mouth. The female vampire felt her empty body alive again.

The female vampire's senses were sharp. She was half finished when she heard the footsteps. She whirled around to see the intruder. A teenage boy was standing there with an arrow and a bow. He was clothed in faded blue jeans and a white t-s.h.i.+rt. He had innumerable freckles on the bridge of his high nose. The female vampire only thought of one thing when she saw the warm-blooded boy.

More blood.

But Huang Qiuyan's blood was more alluring.

The female vampire snarled at the teenager before turning back to finish what she started. The teenager rolled his eyes and shot at the female vampire. The wooden arrow with a red feather on its tail penetrated through the flesh. The female vampire let out an outcry. She didn't try to pull out the arrow. Instead, she launched herself at the teenager like a wild animal.

"How troublesome!" The teenager dodged the female vampire's attack. She was highly uncoordinated in her attacks. The teenager kicked the side of her head, almost splitting her neck. The new female vampire was enraged. She wanted to tear his limbs.

The teenager looked at her coldly. "What kind of vampire are you?"

The female vampire didn't answer. Her eyes were feral and filled with hunger.

"Why are these vampires going crazy?" The teenager looked at the vampire thoughtfully.

The female vampire had enough of his questions. Her head couldn't even process his words. She charged at him again. The teenager brought out a gun from his pockets. He shot her between her eyes without any restraint.

"It was worth a try." The teenager mumbled to himself when he saw that the female vampire was unaffected.

The female vampire didn't attack the boy this time. She spun around and flitted away.

"Higher speed than an average vampire too..." The teenager looked around and found only Huang Qiuyan in the area. The male vampire also ran away when he was fighting the female vampire. These new vampires acted purely on instincts. They ran away when they sensed danger.

He walked to Huang Qiuyan who was turning into a vampire. He fiddled with his gun thrice before putting it back in his pocket. He brought out an arrow with a red feather.

"You should thank me." The arrow pierced her chest. "Pray that this kills you perfectly. If it doesn't exterminate you, my brothers and I will find you later and roast you alive until you are ashes."

Huang Qiuyan didn't cry or scream. She didn't open her eyes. Whether she was already dead or she could feel the pain, it remained a mystery. She was left there on a lonely street with an arrow through her heart. The teenager waited for good fifteen minutes to confirm that the woman was dead before he walked away in an indifferent manner.

After six hours, Huang Qiuyan sat up with confusion and drowsiness. It was early morning. Her skin was white as pearl. Her eyes were black as the night. But she didn't have the emptiness in her eyes like the other vampires. She felt hungry and cold.

She looked down at the arrow awkwardly and asked, "Why am I alive?"
