Hunting For A Husband In A Vampire Apocalypse 24 Mother, I Am Sorry

Fu Sheng clutches his heart. He suddenly feels like his heart is being burned. Each cell has been poisoned by a smoldering fire. He knows this familiar sensation. He has touched the enchanted wood once. Accidentally. That was around three thousand years ago, but he never forgot how it felt like. No vampire can ever forget that.

His insides are scalding and on the verge of turning into acid. The mother and son look at their daughter's husband. They start calling his name. Huang Wei Yi tries to grab his shoulder. Fu Sheng pushes him away before the hand can touch him. In the next moment, Huang Wei Yi is in the air. He slams onto the wall and collapses on the ground. Mother Huang screams and runs to her son.

It's only been a few seconds. It is enough to turn a pure vampire into smoke and ashes. Fu Sheng is surprised that he is still alive. The pain is not any less.

His right hand is turning black. The smell of flesh burning is in the air. He pulls the dagger out of her heart and throws it far away. The dagger disappears in the air and goes back in its owner's hand.

Before he collapses the ground, Huang Qiuyan holds him in her arms.

[Host: What's wrong with him?]

[System: Dear Host, I think that he is affected when she stabbed you in the heart. The enchanted woods can turn a vampire into ashes, but it can't kill you. Since your hearts are linked, then it will hurt him if you are ever stabbed by the enchanted woods.]

[Host: Hearts are linked? What are you saying?]
