The wolf is stumped when the rabbit licks and sucks his lips. The rabbit takes advantage of his shock and pushes him down on the floor. She sits on his stomach and takes a glance at his face. Finally, the rabbit understands why the wolf liked to eat her so much in the past. She bends down and attacks the wolf's lips again while clutching his s.h.i.+rt. She probes his lips with the tip of her tongue, teasing to get the entrance. The rabbit might have been innocent once, but it's the wolf who have infected the poor rabbit minds by constantly eating her in the past.

Fu Sheng's lips move against hers before he realizes that he's falling to her temptation. He grabs her shoulders and pushes her away. Looking into her peach blossom eyes that are still wet and red, he swallows back the hard words. He asks her with a neutral tone, "What are you doing, woman?"

"Can't you tell?" She replies, daring herself to not look away under his penetrating gaze. "I was kissing you. Are you offended, Vampire King?"

If he's offended, then she has successfully taken her first revenge. Hmph! She will not stop offending him from now on.

"I am." He is gripping her shoulder hard, not able to throw her off him or bring her closer. It is taking all of his strength to not teach this woman how to kiss him properly. "We are only mates in the name. I don't want this."

"Is that so?" Huang Qiuyan unb.u.t.tons his s.h.i.+rt one by one. Did he hear her when she said the same words? Hmph! He went ahead and seduced her mercilessly. He's seducing her just by lying there beneath him. It must be so effortless for him to seduce someone like her. Tonight, she will seduce him. She wants to see how brooding he can be. 

He narrows his dark eyes. "What are you doing? Get off me."

"I don't want to." She glares at him. "It's okay for you to do whatever you wanted. It's not okay for me to do the same?"

"Don't play this game." Fu Sheng growls at her. "I gave you what you wanted."

She's not an expert at seducing men, but she will do her best. She runs her fingers on his chest. Her careless act sends jolts of electricity through his veins. He inhales, frozen beneath her. If he lifts his hands one more time, he might take her right there. This moody woman doesn't know what she's doing. There's no telling if she wakes up tomorrow and the first words that leave her mouth are that she wants to go away from him. Besides, he was rejected once. He's not accepting her again. He won't touch her. 

"Push me away then." She gives him a dazzling smile. "Fu Sheng, if you push me away, I will never ever touch you."

Using his words against him? "You think that I can't push you away? I am one step away from throwing you out of this castle."

Huang Qiuyan raises her brow. "Who is stopping you from doing that? Go ahead. Throw me out of your castle."

As if he can! He will never ever throw her out of the castle. She understands him that much.

"You are doing this intentionally, aren't you?" Fu Sheng grimaces at her when she begins to rub her hands his abs playfully. When she's touching him with such curiosity and l.u.s.t, it's painful for him to hold back. Why is he holding back? He should punish her right now. However, he's not falling for her tricks. "You want me to throw you out. You want to go far away from me."

"Do I want something like that, Fu Sheng?" Huang Qiuyan's eyes s.h.i.+ne with amus.e.m.e.nt. "You seem to know a lot about me. Why can't you guess what I want now?"

Fu Sheng looks at her with a complicated gaze. She hasn't realized that she has created a wall around her mind. He can't access her emotions. Her magic has grown a little too.

Where's the shy and cowardly woman? What happened to her in the trunk? She was crying as if someone had died a moment ago. Now, she is sitting on the top of him and smirking at him while pinching his nipples. What an unpredictable woman! Usually, he can easily figure out people.

But, he's facing numerous obstacles when it comes to her. She frustrates him. She makes him sad. She makes him furious beyond words and forces him to lose control. She hurts him repet.i.tively. She pushes him to the limits and then, she cries that he's being unfair. 

There are times when she surprises him. She can stand in front of the hunters, not a little bit afraid of death. She can say her opinions out loud without worrying about death. 

"I don't know what you want right now." Fu Sheng replies with sadness filling his eyes. "Stop playing games. You might regret it tomorrow."

Huang Qiuyan ignores him and kisses him on his throat. "All you have to do it push me away."

"You want me to reject you this much?" He whispers, getting more upset. 

"You won't reject me." Her breath tingles his earlobe. "Fu Sheng, tell me why you didn't tell me once about the rejection."

"Does it matter?" He fists his hands and looks away. 

"Yes, it does." She bites his ear until it bleeds. She licks the blood until the wound is healed. "You aren't answering me."

"Why do you want to know?" He glowers at her. Her hand is crawling down toward his member. He grabs that wrist. "Get off me. You can leave me after the world is restored."

"I want to know." She whines. She doesn't care about the world in this moment. "I have many questions. Since it's between you and me, you will answer me from now on. I will not stop kissing you if you don't answer me."

"..." What kind of threat is that? He wouldn't mind her kissing him. 

She whimpers when he twists her ear. "What if I never answer? Will you shamelessly offer your body to me? Guess what, little one? This king doesn't want you anymore."

"Let go of my ear." 

"I won't."

"It hurts." Big drops of water roll out of her eyes. "If you twist it hard, it will come off."

"It won't come off." He makes a face. Her ear is red. He rubs his thumb over it to ease the pain. Her skin is too soft. She purrs, enjoying his ear ma.s.sage. He stops right away, feeling his rod twitching to the sound she's making. He pushes her head away from him in anger.

"What do you want, Huang Qiuyan?"

Huang Qiuyan is sure that dealing with her mother's mood is easier than dealing with this king. He seems serious about not wanting her anymore. It is her fault though. It took her a long time to understand that she likes him. She died once and she wants to live her second life freely. She won't hesitate to go after what she wants. It seems that she wants this bipolar king who doesn't bother to explain anything to her.

She speaks after a short moment of silence, "I was wrong about you."

Fu Sheng is too angry to speak. She's sitting on his stomach, doing all kind of nonsensical actions, and even purring like a little cat. If he opens his mouth now, either he will bite her or he will choke her.

"Our first time and the bonding... was that the effect of a spell?" She asks him with a grave expression. If he doesn't answer her this time, she will do something strange to him.

He furrows his brows. How did she find out? Who told her? "So what if it was?"

She sighs. "You were also a victim. That's what it was."

"This king is never a victim," He grumbles. "I completed the bond because I wanted you back then. A mere l.u.s.t spell can't break my resolve."

"Why do you want me then?" Huang Qiuyan questions him. "You accused me of a.s.sa.s.sination only a few hours before you completed the bond with me. Fu Sheng, explain it to me or I will do something to you again."
