Put him down first.”

Elvis stepped two steps forward, stopping before Kanwu. He turned around and leaned against the tree trunk. The sunlight gave off mottling rays through the layers of trees, landing around him as he supported his long fingers on Kanwu’s back, pus.h.i.+ng him casually. “Little rascal, do you think you can come down now?”

Kanwu bit his lip and swung there for half a day before firmly controlling his body with much difficulty. Raising his head willfully to look at Gu Mengmeng, his azure blue eyes looked as clean and clear as the skies that were washed by water so much so until the tint of sorrow was visible in them.
