"Here we are"

Michael's car came to a halt in front of Jenny's house.

Michael and Amanda got down from the car and both of them stood on the sidewalk.

"Did you have fun tonight?" asked Michael to Amanda.

Amanda turned towards him and smiled, "I think I did"

"See ya"

Amanda had just turned around and was about to make her way towards the house when a hand suddenly grabbed her arm.

"Wha...what are you doing Michael!?"

"This…"

Michael quickly pulled her towards him, he wrapped his arms around her waist and planted his lips against hers.

"Mi..chael...stop...hmmm"

Amanda tried to resist Michael's embrace, but in the end, she felt her body turning weak as she also started to slowly return Michael's advances and wrapped her arms around his neck.

A minute later.

Both of their lips parted, and a long line of saliva was visible between their lips.

"You are mine from-Achhk!"

Michael was just about to say some cool words when Amanda suddenly kicked him hard on his thigh.

"As*hole! Who told you to kiss me like that!?" Amanda angrily said in a huff before she quickly turned around and made her way inside the house with her face beet red.

"Wait…" Michael stretched his hands towards Amanda, while his other hand is softly rubbing his thigh.

'Dang, that seriously hurt'

"Does that mean you two are truly dating now?' Amanda had just closed the door after her when Jenny suddenly popped out from out of nowhere and started asking her a question.

"Geez! You scared me!" Amanda placed her hand on her chest and breathed with a sigh of relief.

Jenny smiled and hugged her and asked, "So...are you two a thing now?"

"I...I don't..know" Amanda was a bit fl.u.s.tered and didn't know how to properly answer her.

After all, she did kick Michael and quickly left him hanging earlier before they even managed to confirm what their status is after that pa.s.sionate kiss between the two of them.

"Yes, you are! You two are finally dating! Jesus Christ, I thought it would take forever for you to realize that you actually like him" Jenny laughed and let her friend go.

Amanda looked at Jenny, fl.u.s.tered, "I..I…guess...I do like him after all"

"Right? It wasn't that hard admitting it" Jenny chuckled and pinched Amanda's cheeks.

"Stop...it" Amanda angrily slapped Jenny's hands away from her face.

"Come on" Jenny pulled Amanda towards their bedroom, "You have a lot of things to tell me tonight"

Amanda let herself get pulled away and said, "What? It's already late"

"It's not that late, dummy"

Meanwhile.

"Did she really need to kick me that hard?" Michael mumbled to himself while driving, as his other hand kept rubbing the part on his thigh that was kicked by Amanda.

Michael then smiled, and then he touched his lips, and thought, 'Her lips were really soft'

'Now, this had just become a little bit troublesome. I should talk to her tomorrow about us'

Michael quickly drove to his parents' place and decided that he would visit Amanda tomorrow if he had time.

It was already twelve in the morning when Michael arrived in his parents' apartment and quietly made his way towards his bedroom as he didn't want to wake up his parents who are already asleep.

Michael laid down on the floor and took out the pistol hidden on the underneath side of his bed.

'Trouble has come knocking. There had been people investigating more deeply at the case of Steve's death'

'Sooner or later, they will find me'

Michael gave an exasperated sigh at his current situation.

'If only I had the same resources as back then...then I wouldn't have the need to worry about people coming for my head'

'Anyway, I'll just kill them all if they really manage to track me down'

Michael then thought about another problem if that really happens. After all, he doesn't want to implicate his parents with his matters, especially now that he still doesn't know what they are hiding from him.

'G.o.ddammit, having no sufficient money is really a problem' he couldn't help but feel a headache just thinking that he only had thirty thousand dollars left inside his bank account.

And what disappointed him is that there are no bounties for Steve's death in the organization!

'Just what you'd expect from a silk pants young master!'

'But in the end, the problem is Amanda. I'm worried they would go after her first. After all, aside from me, she was one of the recent people that Steve had made contact with'

In the end, Michael just decided to throw all of his problems on the back of his head for the time being and headed to bed, and decided in his mind that he would get back inside the game tomorrow.

Amanda is cooking lunch for both her and Jeny when she suddenly heard her phone ringing at the tabletop behind her.

"h.e.l.lo, Amanda speaking"

Amanda picked up the call and put her phone between her ear and shoulder.

-This is the Central City Police Department, ma'am. We are asking for your presence in the police department regarding a murder case that happened several days ago.

When Amanda heard what the man said from the other side of the call, her heart dropped. She quickly finished what she was cooking and focused her attention on the phone call.

"Can I ask whose case this is about?"

-The murder of Steve Coventry, ma'am.

"Ohh, I see. What time do I need to come?"

-If it's alright with you ma'am, as soon as possible"

"Okay, I'll be there"

Amanda hanged up the phone and sigh with relief.

'I knew this day would come. I just didn't expect for Steve to just suddenly get himself killed when we have just recently met after a couple of years had pa.s.sed by'

'Well, he deserves it. He's an a.s.shole, so he probably made a lot of enemies since, and it got himself killed'

"What happened?" Jenny asked Amanda the moment she entered the kitchen and noticed her peculiar expression.

"I need to go to the police station later" Amanda sigh, then she turned around and started preparing the tables.

"Why?" asked Jenny, as she took and placed a couple of plates on the tabletop.

Amanda sighed and replied, "It's about Steve"

Jenny snapped her fingers as she finally got the gist of it.

"Ohh, that as*hole huh. It's good that he's dead, he even dared to chase after me when he was doing the same thing to you, shameless dead b.a.s.t.a.r.d"

"Cursing the dead is bad"

"Oh please, who even believe in that s.h.i.+t in this day and age?"

Amanda had just left Jenny's place and currently making her way towards the sidewalk when she suddenly saw a familiar car speeding towards her direction from the corner of her eye.

Screech!

A Jeep Rebel quickly came into a halt just two meters in front of her.

"It seems you're heading somewhere?"

Michael came down from the car and quickly realized that Amanda is heading somewhere just from her current attire.

"Yeah, I'm heading to the police station"

Amanda looked at him for a few seconds before she answered his question.

"Really? Me too. Hop in, let's go together"

Amanda wanted to refuse him, but in the end, she didn't have any choice but to go with him after he pulled her inside.
