Walking back to the Nameless Guildhouse from the Swordsmen Club, Zhao Pan eventually paused when she noticed a few dozen Li Clan guild members standing outside of the Nameless guildhouse.
'What's going on here?' she thought.
The Li clan girls standing outside of her Guildhouse were considerably stronger than she was, so she became a bit worried.
'These girls aren't weak, but what could they want with our guild? Could it be related to the White Jade guild incident?' Zhao Pan thought.
Hiding up in the trees, Zhao Pan stealthily inspected all of the girls there, but only one of them stood out from the rest. Her robes were red with a dragon embroidered onto it. She had never seen a Dragon-Cla.s.s disciple before, but it didn't take a genius to figure out she was one.
With just a single look, Zhao Pan understood that Li ChangYing wasn't someone she could raise her head against. She took a step back without thinking, but the moment she did, Li ChangYing unexpectedly turned her head a bit to look at Zhao Pan from the corner of her eyes.
Zhao Pan felt an intense chill run through her body. Seeing Li ChangYing's cold sharp gaze, Zhao Pan just knew they weren't here to make friends.
Before Zhao Pan could settle her racing heart, she suddenly heard the Nameless Guild's front doors open. Taking another peak around the tree she was hiding behind, she saw the one person she wanted to see the most.
'Fang.'
While Xiao Fang took a few steps out of the Nameless Guild's guildhouse, Ye Ming stayed back as she leaned against the door frame crossarmed, seemingly uneffected by the Li clan girl's presence.
Soon after, many of the Nameless Guild guild members, except Lai Yun and Fei Lin, could be seen looking out of the windows of the guildhouse.
...
Facing Li ChangYing, Xiao Fang didn't seem the least bit intimidated by her presence. However, if they were to look closely at Li ChangYing, they would've noticed the slight discomfort she was feeling being in Xiao Fang's presence again.
The last time the two of them encountered each other. Xiao Fang had blocked one of her attacks despite standing right in front of her. Not only that, but the thought of how he broke his own arm without flinching was something she couldn't forget. As strongwilled as she was, there wasnt a chance that she'd be able to do the same without flinching.
There was no information on Xiao Fang she could find, so it just made his ident.i.ty all the more mysterious.
"You brought quite the audience. I a.s.sume you came for this," Xiao Fang suddenly said getting straight to the point.
Seeing the [ Misdirection ] book in his hand, Li ChangYing's eyes lit up.
"Hand it over. That technique belongs to our guild. Only our guild members are allowed to learn it."
"This pathetic little thing?" Xiao Fang replied as he dropped the book in the mud and stepped on it.
Many of the girl's jaws dropped at his blattant disrespect to their guild. Even Li ChangMing's eye twitched in annoyance.
"Is your blindfold on too tight? You dare talk to us that way?" One girl angrily said.
Li ChangYing didn't stop her because she herself couldn't hide the annoyed look on her face.
"I don't need eyes to know you could never beat me with this techniques alone," Xiao Fang replied.
"You b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" The girl screamed before rus.h.i.+ng past Li ChangYing to attack Xiao Fang.
Again Li ChangYing didnt stop the Li girl, simply watching it unfold with clenched fists as she stared at Xiao Fang.
However, the moment the Li girl reached Xiao Fang, he swiftly redirected her first strike then spun her in the air behind him towards Ye Ming. Ye Ming wasn't expecting him to do that, but she still reacted quickly and struck the girl in the chest, making her body fly past Xiao Fang right back down to Li ChangYing's feet.
The girl that just attacked Xiao Fang might've been a bit weaker than Ye Ming in the rankings, but she shouldn't have been so easily handled like that by Xiao Fang. Li ChangYing just became more curious about Xiao Fang's background.
"You... What do you hope to achieve by disrespecting my guild like that," Li ChangYing finally spoke.
"This book was given to me by someone in your guild. What I do with it is up to me," Xiao Fang replied.
The girls knew by now that Li Xiang was the one to give him the book. So they couldnt go against what he was saying, but couldn't sit quietly as he strpped on their pride.
"You!-" the Li girls wanted to berate him, but Xiao Fang suddenly spoke again.
"If you want the book back, then shouldn't I at least get something in equal value?"
"What do you want?" Li ChangYing quickly spoke before any of her clanmate could refute him.
"A favor," Xiao Fang replied.
"Whats the favor?"
"I haven't thought of it yet."
If the Li girls weren't enranged before, they certainly were now.
"Don't be ridiculous, do you expect us to do whatever you want?"
"Sister ChangYing, please don't listen to him. He clearly doesn't have any respect for our guild!" The Li girls tried to advise their current guild Leader.
"Long w.a.n.g, are you trying to start a war between our guilds?" Li ChangYing's voice was cold and menacing. A Dragon Cla.s.s disciple threatening war on a guild would be enough to bring any disciple to their knees in forgiveness, but Xiao Fang seemed uneffected.
"Do you think you'd win?"
[ Fear ]
Only the girls closest to Xiao Fang were effected by the technique, but due to their high cultivations it did nothing more than set a bit of doubt in their hearts. Even Li ChangYing could feel the atmosphere change as if death were looming over their heads, but no one was more disturbed by that feeling that Ye Ming.
'I've felt this before,' Ye Ming thought.
'That boy gives off the confidence of someone who's never tasted real defeat. Where the h.e.l.l did he come from,' Li ChangYing thought.
"I have a better idea. Send 5 of your best fighters. If I can defeat them in a martial arts fight, you'll give me that favor I asked for. If I lose, I'll return the book. What do you say," Xiao Fang suggested.
"Li Zhilan, go," Li ChangYing said.
Li Zhilan bowed and clasped her fists to Li ChangYing before taking her stance before Xiao Fang. The girl Xiao Fang had defeated early was only a bit weaker than she was so she didn't want to be rash.
"Come," Xiao Fang said.
