"w.a.n.g Hong, good to see you again, as your older brother I am truly ashamed to being the weaker one." w.a.n.g Ling showed a warm smile to w.a.n.g Hong. w.a.n.g Hong responded with puffing his chest proudly as he approached his brother and gave him a big and welcoming hug.

"It had been long indeed, older brother." w.a.n.g Hong tightly hugged w.a.n.g Ling as if he had been longing for some brotherly affection. His straightforwardness seemed to be something inherent, and w.a.n.g Ling truly liked that.

Returning the hug, w.a.n.g Ling commented, "You're already a saint and I am still at nascent soul stage. That bothers me, well, I need to put in the effort to catching up then." w.a.n.g Ling joked around about matters of cultivation without restraint.

w.a.n.g Hong laughed but encouraged w.a.n.g Ling, "You only cultivated for a few years, it is understandable that your cultivation is lower than mine. In hindsight, isn't your cultivation improving terrifyingly?"

Shrugging his shoulders, the two brothers laughed once again. As if they were a pair of mischievous children, the two began to talk without restraint. The people around them were baffled as this was the first time they saw such a sight.

This was especially so for Bai Xue and Qigang who always saw w.a.n.g Ling as someone calm and collected. Seeing him act like this with his family was somehow… heartwarming.

[At least I know he's not just some heartless person… I already know he isn't, but still.] Bai Xue smiled and didn't interrupt the two brothers' reunion. Instead, she stayed quiet and enjoyed seeing w.a.n.g Ling laugh like an idiot.

Aside from Bai Xue and Qigang. Mu Feng was the next to be left speechless. The bomb of knowing that w.a.n.g Hong has a brother was enough to make his brain stop for a moment to process the sudden flood of information coming to flood his brain.

He was shaken that as he tried to intervene with the happy talk of the w.a.n.g Brothers, he was stuttering, "Y—you're, h-his… what?" he wasn't an idiot. But the idea of w.a.n.g Hong having an older brother flew above his head that he completely disregarded that such an idea could exist.

After all, as much as the w.a.n.g Family's high profiled actions and talents in their ranks. w.a.n.g Hong and w.a.n.g Yue were the only recorded children of the w.a.n.g Family. The little girl w.a.n.g Yue was something of a surprise to the other Clans, but the surprises weren't stopping.

Another w.a.n.g Family descendant was standing in front of him. And it seems like they were on good terms with one another.

It wasn't just Mu Feng who was shaken though. Everyone in the area was shaken at the idea of w.a.n.g Ling was a member of the w.a.n.g Family which made them even s.h.i.+ver at the thought of the untamed laugh they did earlier.

The idea of w.a.n.g Ling being a member of any of the other Two Great Families was bad enough. But the w.a.n.g Family was the worst in terms of being vengeful. The w.a.n.g Family was both revered and feared in the Frost Domain for good reasons.

Those who laughed at w.a.n.g Ling earlier s.h.i.+vered. By now, they didn't think the actions of the people in black who crippled the lady was cruel. Now, they think of it as mercy. She should be happy she wasn't killed on the spot.

Sensing the disturbance of the surrounding saints, w.a.n.g Ling looked at them playfully and flashed them a flowering smile. That smile was both rea.s.suring and terrifying at the same time.

w.a.n.g Ling turned to Mu Feng and respectfully greeted him with a smile that he showed the others, "My name is w.a.n.g Ling, my family refers to me as the First Young Master of the w.a.n.g Family. But those of the Azure Skies Kingdom also call me trash of the w.a.n.g Family."

"First Young Master? Does that mean you're the oldest son of the w.a.n.g Family?"

"I am not aware of anyone else that is older than I, so if no one appears and claims they are the oldest son. Then I am indeed the oldest." When w.a.n.g Ling talk, he was infusing his voice with the angelic qi.

This infusion made the aura and feeling he gave off to others as kind and approachable. Mu Feng was seeing w.a.n.g Ling as someone friendly and easy to talk to. Coupled with his flowery words, Mu Feng felt w.a.n.g Ling was some kind of longtime friend.

This gave way to Mu Feng lowering his guards against w.a.n.g Ling, "So that was the case." Mu Feng finally understood what was happening. Mu Feng saw w.a.n.g Ling as nice and gullible. At least that's what he got from how he acted.

w.a.n.g Ling then began conversing with Mu Feng and answering some of his questions. He took note of his actions and detailed everything he could. The Mu Clan was in the Frost Domain if they were to fight later, w.a.n.g Ling needs to secure every information he could get to kill them efficiently.

Luckily for w.a.n.g Ling, he had the perfect example of a Mu Clan clan member.

After speaking with Mu Feng, he turned to Yan Renhuo who had been oddly quiet all this while. He had heard of the earlier discussion and he was feeling quite amazed by her persistence but that was it really?

"Miss Yan Renhuo, it had been quite some time. Sorry for eavesdropping earlier, but I heard you tried contacting me in the ThunderG.o.d Academy? I apologize for I had to leave early and return home." w.a.n.g Ling apologized and didn't address any matter regarding the in-law thing going on.

He will resolve that later, but not right now. Such misunderstandings can become quite useful if used correctly.

Yan Renhuo being as valiant and straightforward as she is, took a different route as w.a.n.g Ling did. She directly asked him without any embarra.s.sment an ordinary lady would have, "So, have you decided about the proposal of becoming my dao companion?"

This act of asking w.a.n.g Ling sparked Mu Feng to once again come to a start. But he didn't say anything else as he feared of infuriating the tigress called Yan Renhuo.

w.a.n.g Ling had a headache and cursed Yan Renhuo on the inside for destroying his plans. Of course, he did not project that hate on the outside and only sighed as he answered her, "Like before I have to refuse your offer. Let us stop this talk for now as this is not a place we should talk about this matter."

Salvaging what he could from the wreckage of his plans. w.a.n.g Ling began redirecting the talk to later talks, therefore giving an open-ended ending to the matter.

Without waiting for a reply, w.a.n.g Ling bowed respectfully as he said, "I shall speak with you on a later date Miss Yan. My young brother and I need to talk about something important."

w.a.n.g Ling left the scene with w.a.n.g Hong as fast as he could leaving Mu Feng and yan Renhuo there. As w.a.n.g Ling left and his disappearing back became the only thing visible of him, Mu Feng smiled slyly.

Yan Renhuo seemed to have noticed this smile of his and warned him, "Mu Feng, I don't know what is going on in your mind but let me tell you this from someone who has made deals with your clan before.

"Try anything on w.a.n.g Ling and you will suffer greatly. Not just because you shall incur my wrath, but also the other forces as well. Act like the headfirst idiot that you are and you might as well start the end of your clan."

"What do you mean?" Mu Feng abruptly turned around to question Yan Renhuo, but Yan Renhuo had already turned around and left the scene. This caused Mu Feng to think twice about the plans he had in mind.

=====

w.a.n.g Ling left the scene together with w.a.n.g Hong. It wasn't just them though as QignBaio was following along the way.

QingBiao was silent and didn't say anything to w.a.n.g Ling. She will only nod her head to him every time their eyes would meet.

w.a.n.g Ling was going to the place where the barrier was which was a couple of hundred meters away. This caused w.a.n.g Ling and w.a.n.g Hong to have some time to talk to one another.

"So, is Miss Yan Renhuo going to be my sister-in-law?" It was w.a.n.g Hong who initiated the talk.

w.a.n.g Ling reacted with a flat "No, but I heard she was skilled in alchemy and I want her to help me in the path of alchemy."

"Alchemy? Are you interested in such a thing, older brother? Do you even know any [Flame Cultivation] technique?"

"I control some flames so I think it would be best if I can converse with someone who is experienced with Alchemy."

The two conversed for a long time. Their talk ranged from daily activities to cultivation and martial techniques. w.a.n.g Ling did not feel out of place conversing with w.a.n.g Hong.

He could feel some kind of kins.h.i.+p with him that made him feel nice. This feeling made him think of something really weird.

[This is quite fun, having a brother is not so bad. Even someone as old as I am enjoying such things.

Then why are there so many legends and stories where sibling rivalries lead to killing one another? Sigh, greed in most stories is too prevalent.]
