"I will." With that said, w.a.n.g Ling left smiled. It had been a while since he saw someone who cares for others like that other from his family. Sun Yuwen, a mother who wishes for his daughter's happiness even if it is at the cost of her own life.

With that smile came sadness at her words, "I will take care of her, and in return please be strong." He added with a lonesome smile that caught Sun Yuwen's attention. The melancholic gaze he always possesses surfaced.

"What is wrong, child?" Sun Yuwen asked.

"I am just remembering something. Sister Renhuo and Mistress Sun Yuwen, may I ask you to come to visit me at the Red G.o.d Manor where my family resides. I wish to reciprocate the goodwill you have shown me today."

w.a.n.g Ling extended his hands to offer and invite which the mother and daughter pair accepted wholeheartedly. They separated from each other and decided to meet at the Red G.o.d Manor once dusks settle.

w.a.n.g Ling left for home and met his family. He was showered in congratulatory words before he said that Sun Yuwen and Yan Renhuo were about to come.

Xiao Fei'er was delighted at this and ordered the maids to prepare a feast. w.a.n.g Hong wanted to invite QingBiao, but she was currently preparing for the next round so he had to stop his hands.

However, he did not become depressed and asked for his brother to come and speak to him for a brief moment. They separated from the rest of the family and went to a courtyard where w.a.n.g Ling's room could be found.

"The Mu Clan is making their moves on the border area of our Family Territory. Their men are hara.s.sing our people. The Frost Peak Sect who had always been neutral is currently pressuring the Yan Clan and is driving them away from the Frost Peak Sect Territory and from their recent activities, they seem to be up to something. And the Desolate Clan's people are also frequenting the Mu Clan especially their elder. And some time ago, someone from the Mu Clan came to the Family and tried to extend their hands for marriage."

That is unacceptable. If Butler Sun almost killed them that also means they must have disrespected her in one way or the other, either way, I'll add them to the pile later on. After their talk, they shared wine and dusk finally settled. Sun Yuwen and Yan Renhuo came and had a meal with the w.a.n.g Family. Sun Yuwen and Xiao Fei'er hit it off and had a jolly time as they talk with one another.

On the other hand, w.a.n.g Ling and Yan Renhuo sneaked away and went somewhere in the manor with fewer people to talk with one another. The two were in a pavilion with w.a.n.g Lng pouring tea for Yan Renhuo.

"What is that you need to ask me, Brother Ling?" Yan Renhuo asked

"About the Devil's Flower that is currently heading for Mistress Sun's heart..." w.a.n.g Ling spoke in a leisure tone that it made him somewhat sinister, but it mattered not because Yan Renhuo did not care.

Her hand stops as she asked, "How did you know of it, Brother Ling? Did Mother told you about it?"
