Clouds gathered and the rolling of lightning and thunder echoed in the heart and ears of many cultivators. w.a.n.g Ling a few meters away from Yan Renhuo with a smile on his face.

"I will see you later, Brother Ling."

Boom! A lightning strike shattered the mountain he and Yan Renhuo was in. As the lightning fell on Yan Renhuo, w.a.n.g Ling had her Flames of Tribulation devour them. The Flames of Tribulation let out a roar and an azure lynx wrapped with lightning appeared Yan Remhuo's body.

The lynx roared at the lightning and Yan Renhuo dove into the lightning tribulation to devour it without missing a drop. w.a.n.g Ling, Yan Renhuo, and Bai Xue just may be the only beings who are fearless against Lightning Tribulations.

w.a.n.g Ling watched and never tried dodging the lightning. He was unafraid of the Lightning tribulation about to hit him. He had already faced such tribulations before so his body can withstand the pressure it will give.

At this moment, w.a.n.g Ling's body had also improved by leaps and bounds making him an almost invincible being in the First Layer of the Black Dragon's Final Battlefield. Even without his bloodlines, w.a.n.g Ling can still contest against people who are at the fifth meridian albeit he cannot fight more than three at once.

But depending on the situation, w.a.n.g Ling can become someone who can rival anyone in this place.

Three hours pa.s.sed and the lightning tribulation disappeared with Yan Renhuo seemingly ascending to the Second Layer, "She mentioned she will get stronger in the Second layer so and wait for me, I can't have her wait for too long."

w.a.n.g Ling resolved himself and flew out north. At the north, there were numerous uncharted locations he can try his luck on.

"Didn't you hid anything in the Lower Heaven?"

"I didn't, it's all in the Celestial Spirit Realm. There is a reason why my tomb and the two True n.o.ble Legacies are there. Only the Flames of Chaos can be sought after and nothing else. But you can't do that, can you? You gave my inheritance to someone else, right?"

"Let it go, she's a capable fighter. She'll prove worthy to possess your inheritance so do not worry about it. She already has two of the five flames right? And with that tribulation, she'll be able to bring her flames to Ascendency level or even higher."

w.a.n.g Ling said with a.s.surance. His trust towards Yan Renhuo's skill is strong enough to make him feel a.s.sured that giving her the inheritance for the True Chaos Flames is the right thing and not some mistake. Her affinity to flames is strong enough that she did not need anyone to point a path to her and search the other Flames of Chaos, this point alone was important.

w.a.n.g Ling stopped the conversation and then quietly head over to the north. The north is a large stretch of water with many islands scattered all over creating an archipelago. But it wasn't just the islands and Immortal Beast to be found in there but at what they call the Black Dragon's Trench lies the Dragon's Temple.

The Dragon's Temple had existed for eons and no one truly knows how long it had existed. But the Dragon's Temple is an area that Oceanic Beasts avoids so it was known as a safe zone in the north.

Another thing, the Dragon's Temple is also known for the location where one can transport to the Black Dragon's Palace and challenge the Black Dragon's Trial.

w.a.n.g Ling's intention on why he is heading is this Trial exactly, "Every Trial has its price, whether it be knowledge or something that can instantaneously help me raise my cultivation no matter what it is, this thing better helps me out, but if it can't then I'll have to resort to killing and devouring souls. But before that, I should probably make a detour."

An Immortal he maybe but it will take w.a.n.g Ling a total of two months to travel north and reach the North. He has a map with him and when he a.n.a.lyzed its contents, w.a.n.g Ling found an area that is said to have just recently opened.

"The Tomb of Golden Fist Mesas an area where the formation placed by the ancients has weakened so the tomb has surfaced and showed itself, this should be a good premonition. It would be best to head over there."

Without any hesitation, w.a.n.g Ling headed directly for the Tomb of the Golden Fist Mesas and then as he did so, he encountered beasts but most of them are nothing but useless beings who reside in the edge of the forest they live in so it was fairly easy to deal with them.

Three weeks pa.s.sed and w.a.n.g Ling finally caught sight of the place, "Thankfully the formation has yet to disappear so there is no reason for me to hurry."

"It will take four days for the qi on the formation to dissipate, my successor it is best for you to rest and comprehend the second form of the Walls of Chaos. You should find a place where you can rest in peace so no one disturbs you."

w.a.n.g Ling listened to the Gray Figures'' advice and headed for a quiet location away from the people who are gathering at the entrance of the Tomb. On top of a tree with lots of leaves to act as a cover, he meditated as he entered his mind.

The Golden and Red Walls remained and as what the Gray Figure had stated, it is time for w.a.n.g Ling to learn the second form of these walls. He had previously comprehended the martial technique of World Grasping Pal and Moon Crus.h.i.+ng Fist, both of which he had yet to use in actual combat but he had already previously witnessed its powers. The power of these two techniques hold is something beyond Immortal and Celestial.

This may be a G.o.d-Grade martial technique for all he cared. w.a.n.g Ling closed his eyes and then he spread his consciousness on the two walls.

Just like before, knowledge flooded his mind and the two walls began to lift a layer and began to align. It was a painful process but as the information flowed and foreign words become understandable for him, w.a.n.g Ling found bliss amidst the pain that spread in his mind.

And just like last time, w.a.n.g Ling's consciousness was pulled into a desolate battlefield where an armored man stood tall amidst the cold wind and the stench of death.

The Holy Race and Devils appeared from their respective sides and the armored man once again stood his ground as he planted his feet on the ground.

The armored man sprouted a single pair of beautiful and majestic golden wings and then flew into the air. The Golden Wings emanated no energy, aura, or qi and as time went on the Golden Light it bored disappeared until it had no color at all. Seemingly transparent its light was not even white. But the speed it granted was enough to make the armored man an unstoppable arrow capable of slaughtering the Holy Race and the Devils.

"Wings with speed enough to overshadow that of the Devil's, the Wings born of Chaos from the Union of G.o.d's Blood and the Overlord's. Such is the rule of my wings, if my wings were to descend in this Universe once again, you shall gain this legacy — [Wings of Origin]."

w.a.n.g Ling's back began to ache, his blood began to boil but as the azure lines and the black wing tattoo touched, something caused for w.a.n.g Ling's back to hurt and the merging of the two marks to dissipate with the wind.

A pained groan escaped his mouth as the words, "You are lacking" echoed in his head.

When he opened his eyes once more his body was drenched in a cold sweat. He harvested no new techniques but he managed to unbury a new kind of truth, "G.o.d and Overlord as one~"

Such thoughts would drive w.a.n.g Ling to seek something beyond what he is currently trying to reach.
