Celestial Peak 324 Fear!

The resistance was strong and it caught w.a.n.g Ling by surprise. Staring at the coffin created with Black Steel Essence, w.a.n.g Ling was dumbfounded.

The coffin was weird and the pressure it gave out was strong that it made w.a.n.g Ling unable to fight it. In this tomb, would anyone be able to combat it if w.a.n.g Ling can't? Maybe? But w.a.n.g Ling doesn't want to accept that fact.

Once again he took a step forward and prepared himself to try. He can't do anything well if he was to stay down like this. He approached the platform and raised his left leg, he didn't hesitate to take the next step and just like before a pressure bore down upon him.

Boom!

w.a.n.g Ling circulated his qi to match the destructive and heavy qi of the coffin and with great difficulty, he raised his other leg and then got both feet on the first step. He had seen similar trials before, step by step the pressure will increase. Such Trials would last until a hundred steps but this one was different than those trials.

This is not a trial and the pressure it is giving out is so strong that on the first step the pressure it is giving out is a hundred times stronger than the ones he had faced before. w.a.n.g Ling was drenched in sweat in the first step that his field of view started becoming hazy.

So this is G.o.d's pressure. A dead G.o.d is still a G.o.d, and the pressure it gives out even on its death was so strong that these ten steps are simultaneously attacking his body, soul, qi, and cultivation all at the same time.

w.a.n.g Ling's logical att.i.tude on taking on every little challenge he was faced was still there but he was looking at this particular challenge as different. It was strong, the strongest he had ever faced and his bloodlines are reacting to it so much so that his haloes and wings wanted to come out.

As if it was saying no G.o.d shall dare look down upon them. They were the True and genuine n.o.bles of this universe, none shall try and question them and none shall bring out a challenge to them.

The Gray Figure noticed this and started fearing the two bloodlines coming out. He frowned, "My successor, stop it! Do not fight it and just give up! Let us just leave! I should have known that getting it was impossible. Let us just go back later, we still have other chances!"

His voice was hurried, his senses could feel it. There were people hurrying to this place. From the still three closed doors, there were people hustling to make it here first. If they entered this place with w.a.n.g Ling, there was a chance that his bloodlines would appear.

The angelic qi and h.e.l.lish qi would rush out of his body and their position would be compromised!

The two races or even just the Holy Race would rain down from the upper realms and destroy this world just to get to w.a.n.g Ling. They will capture them and be killed after their usefulness is spent.

The fears of the Gray Figure was founded, but w.a.n.g Ling did not budge from his place. He didn't even consider the words of the Gray Figure.

w.a.n.g Ling's body convulsed, the wings and haloes wanted to come, but he was now starting to fight it. He was fighting on two different battlefields, both on the inside and outside. It was hard, but for some odd reasons, w.a.n.g Ling's mouth blossomed into a smile.

And from within his body, he pulled the strength of the Chaos Qi and put it onto his very core. He raised one of his legs and with it still trembling as the pressure wanted to bring him down he managed to plant his first step onto the second step.

Fwu!

Another great pressure bore down upon his body. Like a mountain going down on him, w.a.n.g Ling's body felt the pressure to increase. But the smile on his mouth remained.

It was strange, but it was his proper response to this challenge. He smiled in the face of adversity as if mocking the pressure of G.o.d. I am not below you, I am not your level, I am beyond you!

w.a.n.g Ling was slowly gathering his qi from his Foundation to his entire body. The power of Chaos fought with the pressure of G.o.d. The Chaos was fighting with G.o.d but it was not enough, so, w.a.n.g Ling drew more of his power that lies within him to combat the pressure. He drew the sword Qi in his body and even the killing intent he had in his body!

At this time, w.a.n.g Ling could feel his entire being trembling from a mix of excitement and antic.i.p.ation. The power he was using at this moment was different, he did not know how to explain it in detail but to him, at that very moment the power he was using felt like it was truly his.

He can feel it, this power, it did not come from the bloodlines it was being drawn out from his very being. From the essence that is inside him, a power that is something already within his body! From the depths of his body, a spark, he can grasp it, just a little further, he can grasp. More, more, more, he needs more of the pressure that is boring upon him!

This is it, if I can control this power, this is mine! This power doesn't belong to anyone, it is MINE! An invisible power from deep within w.a.n.g Ling began to open for him. From the depths of his soul, a silent power opened and darkness that is devoid of anything surfaced.

The Gray Figure noticed this and its face began to warp. No, it's too early, just how!? It was alarmed, and in a moment of panic, the Gray Figure hurriedly stood up and drew power from its own reserves and incited the pressure from the coffin to grow stronger!

Boom!

The room exploded with the pressure of G.o.ds, and the already strong pressure that is boring upon w.a.n.g Ling further increased!

The pressure of the Coffin increased by leaps and bounds.

Soon, his body that had been crafted to perfection began to crumble. However, w.a.n.g Ling kept his persistence, he was there. He can grasp, he just needed to keep it up and he will be able to fully grasp the power.

But, the pressure was too much for him! He was blown away from the steps, unable to even step on the third step.

w.a.n.g Ling stood up wanting to try once again. But a metallic mixed with a sweet taste rushed from his throat to his mouth! Bleugh, a mouthful of blood escaped w.a.n.g Ling's mouth!

His body had been weakened to the point that he received a grave injury.

The Gray Figure saw this and was elated, "You need to leave this place, there are other people rus.h.i.+ng this place! I do not know if they are enemies or not, but there's a chance they will try to take away your resources! We need to leave!"

w.a.n.g Ling was hesitant but he chose to play it safe and turn back. He escaped from where he came right after burning the blood on the ground erasing his presence. He moved with difficulty and closed the door on his way out.

A few minutes later, people rushed the room he was in. Just like w.a.n.g Ling they tried to go to the Coffin but not one managed to do so. They can't even go up the second step so, many decided to leave while others decided to stay.

From this point on, the number of people going to stay in that place would number at 14 all of which desiring what is inside the black coffin. They would take a different approach that w.a.n.g Ling took, they will not try to overpower it but would use their time to slowly get use to the pressure before ascending.

This is the way it was intended by Mesas anyway, but no one knew that. w.a.n.g Ling on the other hand, the one who bulldozed to the stairs escaped the premises without anyone knowing he was there.

He was injured and he got nothing from that room, but that is just on the material side of things. But he knows, whatever it was that he felt in there will stick to him for a long time.

And the Gray Figure who witnessed w.a.n.g Ling's 'potential'. Right now, a strange emotion towards another being appeared in the heart of the Gray Figure for the first time — fear.
