A week after w.a.n.g Ling is admitted to the academy.

It was early morning that the sun has yet to rise and w.a.n.g Ling was already outside of the academy's dormitory practicing the Heave Vanquisher technique.

The dorms was located at the west of Piercing Heaven Academy. It was an area that was open for everybody. w.a.n.g Ling had a room here as he was currently staying at this place as he had said he would.

w.a.n.g Ling had no problem executing the techniques of the Heaven Vanquisher. There was no one here that he needed to be warry in concern to his ident.i.ty so he had no problem about receiving suspicions.

w.a.n.g Ling moved his sword with such a great force that his sword looked like it could split both heaven and earth. This was [Judgement] the first move of Heaven Vanquisher.

His mastery over this particular technique had reach minor completion and is nearing intermediate completion. w.a.n.g Ling's plan was to master this particular move to intermediate completion before moving to the second form.

The second attack of Heaven Vanquisher is called [Vanquis.h.i.+ng Blade]. The second attack was a mid-range killing technique that, if mastered to consummation can kill a master that stand tens of meters away.

w.a.n.g Ling had estimated the time he will need to master Judgement till intermediate completion and found out that he will at need at least two weeks. He could only sigh at this before accepting.

Training and reaching the peak is deeply connected. For one to reach the peak, one will need an indomitable will to further oneself. w.a.n.g Ling has that will and it is reflected on his never-ending training.

While he was training his sword, he noticed that the surge of pure spirit qi had arrived. He stopped his training and began cultivating. He took out a few spirit stones to further absorb spirit qi before closing his eyes in meditation.

Thirty minutes later, w.a.n.g Ling opened his eyes and walked back to his dorm. After he went inside, the people of the dorms that was near him came out as they too finish absorbing the surge of pure spirit qi.

This area was the outer circle of academy so the students that could be found here were all sky-root stage. It took a while but w.a.n.g Ling went out of his dorm after cleaning his sweaty body.

He went to a place called [Mission Hall]. The Mission Hall was a place where the so called missions were posted. The missions posted all have corresponding points.

Points is the currency inside the academy and anyone can earn points from doing odd-jobs for the academy that ranges from; cleaning the bathroom of the entire academy to subjugating a savage beast.

Points are used to redeem valuable resources from the academy; from a normal sword to a priceless treasure; a spirit stone to a priceless pill.

If he wanted to empty the vaults of the academy, w.a.n.g Ling will need a lot of points. Completing missions is one of the most lucrative method of earning points inside the academy.

The mission had a lot of people coming to and fro. Some were smiling while others were frowning. w.a.n.g Ling didn't care about the other students so he just entered the Mission Hall with a carefree att.i.tude.

Looking around, there was a place where all the missions were posted on. This was the Mission Board. w.a.n.g Ling walked up to the mission board and started browsing through the missions.

-Help the Library sort out the collections of the beasts' information collections: rewards, 50 points.

-Bring back a Yin Gra.s.s from the Ghoul Plains: rewards, 300 points and a Golden Qi Pill.

-Subjugate the Blazing Wyvern near the Kingdom of Red Flames: rewards, 1000 points.

w.a.n.g Ling looked over the mission and saw the distinct differences between the rewards of each mission.

"So the more dangerous it is, the more rewards we can get. I supposed that's understandable. But what about that mission?" w.a.n.g Ling asked as he looked up at the upper most area of the list. There, a mission that has a reward of 50,000 points upon completion.

-Investigate the happenings of the White Dragon Valley: reward, 50,000 points and a pill of your choice (to be concocted by the head of Alchemist Cla.s.s, Elder Ye.)

What a tempting offer it was, a simple mission with a very high reward. Who wouldn't want such a thing? w.a.n.g Ling looked around and saw that people was actually ignoring this mission. Seeing this, w.a.n.g Ling shrugged his shoulders and walked over to the counter where the students can inform the people in charge what mission they want.

w.a.n.g Ling walks over to one of the counter and saw a female student. He remembered that students who is working for the academy also receives points.

She gave him a pretty long stare. After confirming that this was the first time he had seen w.a.n.g Ling, the girl nodded her head for some odd reason.

"What mission do you want to take?" The girl asked with an unhurried tone.

"I want to accept the first mission. The one that asked for one to join the expedition to the…" before w.a.n.g Ling could even finish his words, the female student interjected.

"Rejected."

"Why? Isn't the mission posted on the mission board free to be accepted by any student? If it's in the outer circle Mission Hall then it should be free to be accepted correct?" w.a.n.g Ling protested in a calm manner.

There are two Mission Halls in the Piercing Heaven Academy. One can be found in the inner circles of the academy while the other was the place where w.a.n.g Ling is standing on right now.

The two Mission Hall provides different missions that is suitable for their abilities. w.a.n.g Ling was aware of this because of the rule book he had a.s.similated last week after he circulated his spirit qi to his badge.

The female student looked up and said; "There have been five people who died after accepting that mission. These five students went to the White Dragon Valley and disappeared without a trace. The academy has given the inner circle the mission already. The mission posted here is not advice to be taken."

The happenings in the White Dragon Valley is beginning to escalate and change. Last month, there are only a few weird things happening there like a few savage beast missing. But now, even humans that frequents that place begins to disappear.

There were also reports about the mysterious actions and movement of the beasts that lives in that place. The mysterious events of the White Dragon Valley was actually beginning to frighten the nearby citizens of the nearby city and villages.

w.a.n.g Ling was informed about this by the females student but in the end, he just shrugged his should and said.

"That's not a problem. You said it is advice not to be taken but I am taking it so just record my name taking it already. Don't be too nosy and just do what I have requested you to do.

"Me living or dying does not matter to you or other people. The academy might get implicated but that's just it." w.a.n.g Ling explained what he had in mind.

The female attendant could not say anything back to what w.a.n.g Ling had just said. She realized what w.a.n.g Ling was talking about was true. The mission was not removed from the mission board so it must be something that is meant to be accepted.

In the end, the female student had to comply with w.a.n.g Ling's request and recorded that he had taken the mission. w.a.n.g Ling was then given a piece of paper that have three names written on it.

"Those are the names of the people who accepted the mission. The time of your meet up with this students is already written on the paper.

w.a.n.g Ling said his thanks and left the mission hall. He walked out of the Mission Hall and went to somewhere else. w.a.n.g Ling headed for the Alchemy Hall.

Authors note: the chapter is short because I have yet to finalize the current situation, I have re written it like three times and I have am yet to finish.

Because of that I had the chapters become shorter as I don't want to let the story suffer so I made it short for today. A short version is better than a rush and unplanned story in my own opinion.

Don't worry, I'll improve the number of extra chapters on Sunday as an apology.
