Sugar And Spice: The CEO's Feisty Wife Chapter 137 - The Announcement

Xie Yuansheng had gone to his office and as soon as he entered, the red roses that had bloomed further greeted him. His face broke into a grin. He went and smelled those flowers and then stroked the petals. "Just like her cheeks…" he muttered. He sighed and went to sit on his office chair. He booted his computer and started browsing the files but he kept stealing glances towards the roses, which in turn reminded him of her. Not able to stop himself any further, he stood from his chair and strode out of the office. He looked at Feng Xinying and found her deeply concentrating in her work. He went to her and stood right behind her. 

Feng Xinying was using the keyboard and its shortcut keys rather than the mouse. Xie Yuansheng bent over her shoulder, held her right hand from behind and brought it over the mouse. "Do you want to hurt your fingers? The mouse provides an ergonomic way of working. Use it." 

Feng Xinying gasped as she turned beet red. What was he doing here? "Xie Yuansheng, you go away from here. Ever since we have entered the office premise, we have become the center of gossip. I can see people looking at us always," said Feng Xinying. 

"Are you trying to ward me off?" he said as he took the opportunity to kiss her in her ear and chew it lightly. He had come to understand one thing, something, which he had never been able to discover in his previous life - Feng Xinying, was very sensitive to chewing on her ears. He heard her gasping and knew it worked. 

"I am not…" she answered lightly. 

"Well, I don't care about them. Also in a matter of minutes, our relations.h.i.+p would be announced. I have instructed the staff to do it as soon as possible."

Feng Xinying bit her lip. She couldn't help smiling. Xie Yuansheng got up from there, folded his hands and went to stand against her desk. "I am going to stay right here with you till the announcement is out." 

Feng Xinying felt excited. She refreshed the company's website but there was nothing. Her mouth curled downwards. Xie Yuansheng laughed. "Give them a few minutes darling." 

Suddenly a girl came running towards him and disturbed their reverie. "Sir, you have a meeting in the next fifteen minutes with people from j.a.pan." 

Xie Yuansheng looked at her with a hint of anger. "Postpone the meeting tomorrow morning."

"But sir, they will leave this afternoon…" she stated. 

"I am sure they are staying in the country on company's expense. The company can afford their for another day," he answered seriously. 

"Yes Sir…" she replied meekly. Then she turned to Feng Xinying and added, "Miss Yun Chen has joined the office. However, her leg is still in plaster…" 

"Ask her to take leave," replied Feng Xinying. "I have already approved her sick leaves." 

"She wants to cancel those sick leaves and work. She says that she is bored at home and wants to work." 

Feng Xinying didn't say anything and turned her attention towards the computer. When the girl didn't get any answer, she bowed and went back. 

Feng Xinying refreshed the computer. The announcement was there, loud and clear:

"We are happy to announce that our CEO, Xie Yuansheng has finally chosen his life partner who is none other than the lovely Miss Feng Xinying. The couple is in a serious relations.h.i.+p and will soon p.r.o.nounce their wedding date." 

Just beneath the announcement was their photo from the valley of flowers in which she was wearing a flower tiara with a huge smile and he was sitting right behind her looking radiant. He had taken this photo just after they had made love. Thankfully, it showed only half of their bodies. 

Feng Xinying shrieked. "It's there!" She jumped out of her chair and leapt on Xie Yuansheng to hug him. Xie Yuansheng laughed and held her tightly. It was a wonderful moment - a moment that he had waited for two lives. Everything fell in place. All the puzzles fitted well. As he hugged her, his eyes became moist. She had surrendered herself to him. She was his to cherish forever - only a matter of few more days. 

"Shall we hold the party tomorrow?" he asked getting choked on his words. 

"No one will come. It's a working day," she said in between laughing. 

As they hugged each other tightly, they heard people around clapping. Both of them laughed and then looked at others. They thanked them all. Feng Xinying held Xie Yuansheng's hand and raised it high above their heads. She jumped and shouted, "Yes!" 

Xie Yuansheng laughed at his adorable bunny. He picked her up from behind and carried her to his office amidst laughter and claps. He closed the door behind him with his legs and then carried her all the way to his office chair.
