Back in the StarManage building, as soon as Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ hurriedly left the place, Feng Xinying became very annoyed. The fact that Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ was eavesdropping was beyond imagination. As and as she read it, she fell in love with her character. She didn't realize when Zhou Ah Ming got down from the car and when she reached Xie Yuansheng's office. It was when the driver halted the car that she realized and jumped out to go there as soon as possible. She took the private elevator. When she reached the office floor, everyone in the room greeted her with a lot of respect. Feng Xinying smiled at them and went inside Xie Yuansheng's room only to find that he wasn't there. 

She became slightly disappointed. She went to the sofa and lay there to continue reading her script. She finished reading it within the next two hours. It was already evening and still he hadn't come back. She decided to call him.

Xie Yuansheng was taking a meeting in a conference hall since the afternoon. It was one of the acquisitions his company was doing. All the senior management along with people from the other company was also there. It was an extremely important meeting as a lot of money was at stake. While most of the people on board were interested and were feeling positive, it was Lim Chuen who was vehemently against the decision. He protested, "How can you spend hundred million Yuan on a company that is as small as this? You will never be able to recover its cost!" 

Xie Yuansheng narrowed his eyes at Lim Chuen and replied, "If that was the case, so many financial a.n.a.lysts wouldn't have recommended it to us. The entire senior management over here is happy with the decision. Also, we are not taking loans from the banks. Everything is going from our company's account. If the company will not perform, we will just sell it. There are thousands of ways to recover the cost." 

Lim Chuen was angry because he wanted that company under his flags.h.i.+p however the owners had refused to sell it at a price he had offered, which was thirty million less. He didn't know that the owners had approached Feng Conglomerate after they rejected his offer. 

"We are paying them over the market price," he gnarled. "Are you trying to make us bankrupt Xie Yuansheng?" 

"Feng Conglomerate wouldn't become bankrupt by a few million Yuan investment. Mr. Lim Chuen, please stop wasting our time. I will talk to you later. Right now let us discuss how to go ahead with it." Xie Yuansheng chided him softly and then looked at the financial a.n.a.lyst who was showing him figures and charts. 

They had lunch at the conference venue and resumed the meeting. It was 4PM and he didn't even realize. It was Feng Xinying who broke his mode. As soon as he saw his screen flas.h.i.+ng her photo, he picked it, "Baby! How are you?" 

The CEO of the company who was taking a very serious meeting, scolding people left and right, giving orders worth millions, suddenly sounded like a cat. They all stared at him. 

"Xie Yuansheng, when will you come? I have been waiting for you in the office since afternoon," she complained with a yawn. 

Xie Yuansheng made a sad face and said, "Another one hour baby… don't go anywhere. I will come to pick you up, okay?" 

"Okay…" came a sadder reply. 

As soon as Xie Yuansheng kept his phone down, he saw all eyes in the conference room staring him. He smiled sheepishly and said, "Girlfriend…"

One could hear people giggling away silently. 

When Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ reached home, she found Xie Weihui waiting for her. Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ wasn't used to her biological mother and every time she would show her affection, Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ would hate it. She hated Xie Weihui from the core of her heart for abandoning her and for not standing up for her. She knew that one day she would take her revenge from her too but first she had to take care of Feng Xinying. Tomorrow would be first step towards her revenge. 

"s.h.i.+s.h.i.+, have you had your lunch?" asked Xie Weihui affectionately. "I have prepared grilled pomfret for you."

"No mother. I wanted to have my lunch with you," replied Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ in a honeyed voice. Then she circled her mother's shoulders and took her to the dining s.p.a.ce where all the lunch was already set on the table. 

During lunch, Xie Weihui said, "I don't like that you use public transport for traveling. I have bought a car for you and also hired a driver. He will take you around." 

"Really?" Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ clasped her hands. "Thank you!" 

"Oh, it's nothing."

"Tomorrow, I have to attend a dinner party as Wu Bosun's partner."
