Feng Xinying became very worried about Keira. "Keira, we must go to the hospital. Why would you vomit if you don't have the stomach flu or you are not even pregnant? I am scared that it has got something to do with your brain then!"  

Keira, who was looking pale, became paler. "Brain? Do you mean I have some disease in there? Will I become mad? Will I die?" She had also heard that if there was a brain lesion, your memory could fail. "Will I lose all my memories?" She started wailing. "Xinying, if I lose my memory, I will forget Xie Shengjun. You have to help me remember him."

Feng Xinying gritted her teeth. Here she was getting so worried about her, and all she was thinking was how to remember Shengjun? Keira became extremely selfish about her relations.h.i.+p with him. What kind of sister-in-law would she make?

"We are going to the hospital now!" and they went to the hospital. She sent a message to Xie Yuansheng and Xie Shengjun that they were going to the hospital. While Xie Yuansheng texted her back saying that she should call him in case of emergency, as he was in a meeting, Xie Shengjun panicked. He reached the hospital even before the two of them had reached. His hands were closed in fists out of nervousness.  

He waited for the two of them and as soon as he spotted them, he ran to Keira's side. She was looking white as if the blood had drained out of her face. "What happened to my Keira?" he asked Feng Xinying as if accusing her of doing something to her. "She is looking so sick." He picked Keira in his arms and walked inside while Feng Xinying raised an eyebrow at the two of them and followed them inside. 

Xie Shengjun had already arranged for the doctor to check Keira. When he took her there in the doctor's room, the doctor was astounded to see the way he was holding her like a baby. He put her down.  

The doctor observed her and asked her various questions. Then she asked, "When was your last period? Do you remember?" 

Keira was shocked. "It was around a month and a half back," she replied as she calculated. When she had come to City Z, she had finished off with her periods.  

"Hmm… In that case it is highly possible that you are pregnant but we have to perform the tests first to confirm that report," said the doctor.

Keira looked surprised, "It is not possible doctor because we use protection." 

"What kind of protection do you use?" asked the doctor. 

Xie Shengjun, who was standing on the side, became extremely nervous. His secret was about to be exposed.  He couldn't bear another of Keira's wrath. She would explode if she knew what he had been doing to the condoms. Even though he wanted that to happen, he did not antic.i.p.ate it to happen so fast. What if Keira would actually become pregnant? There were beads of sweat on his forehead. Will she leave him again?

"He uses condoms," she replied being hundred percent sure that she wasn't pregnant. 

"Oh! The doctor shook her head. "You see condoms offer only ninety-nine percent protection. There is a chance that you can become pregnant with that too."

Keira looked at the doctor as though she had lost her voice. She was the one who insisted Xie Shengjun to use condoms rather than her using the pills. 

As soon as the doctor said that, Xie Shengjun's face broke into an ear to ear grin. He was saved! G.o.d saved him! He would never have to reveal his secret.  

"But why are you worrying. Let us first conduct the tests," said the doctor as she instructed them to follow the nurse for getting the tests done. 

Keira got up from there, dazed. Feng Xinying followed Keira, dazed. 

Xie Shengjun took them around meekly for all the tests. He was br.i.m.m.i.n.g with happiness, and was finding it difficult to contain his excitement. He was imagining little Keira's all around him. He wanted to pick his love and make more love to her. He wanted to give her the world. He wanted to marry her. She had been delaying the marriage. He thought inside, "See Keira. Even the G.o.ds are with me!" 

In the next one-hour, the test results were out. The doctor called them all inside her room. Keira, Feng Xinying and Xie Shengjun went inside, each of them thinking about something, each within their own world. They all looked at the doctor with antic.i.p.atory glances. 

The doctor read all the reports silently as the patient waited eagerly. She rubbed her forehead and announced, "Miss Keira, you are pregnant."

Xie Shengjun exclaimed in glee. "Really?" 

Keira looked at him with anger in her eyes. Immediately Xie Shengjun became quiet and lowered his head. 

Then she looked back at the doctor and lamented, "Doctor, this can't be true?" The thing that she feared came true. 

"Well, Miss Keira, the reports are in front of you," replied the doctor. 

"But I don't want this pregnancy," cried Keira.  

"Miss Keira, if you don't want, no one can insist. However, there is one thing I would like to say. If you get an abortion done, there are chances that you won't get pregnant again because you have only one ovary that is functional. Here these are your ultrasound reports." The doctor handed her the reports. Keira was horrified. 

"Miss Keira, what would you want?" asked the doctor. 

"I don't have a choice doctor," replied Keira as she lowered her head. The first thing she wanted to do was punch Xie Shengjun. 

Xie Shengjun had been making mental notes on what to do next. He wanted to go to the temple and offer prayers. He was so excited that he couldn't even think properly. There were too many things. 

The first thing Xie Shengjun wanted to do was to marry the mother of his child. 

The first thing Feng Xinying wanted to do was to become a mother.
