Just a brief walk down memory lane - Refer to chapter 172, where you can find who Bi Yu was. She was the owner/director of the Starline agency who tried to force Feng Xinying into signing up with her agency and had offered her a terrible deal only because of Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+'s wrong information. She had treated Feng Xinying very badly when she met her for the first time. Xie Yuansheng had got her jailed on charges of giving performance enhancing drugs to her models.

Bi Yu took the knife out of her skirt and held it behind her. Xie Yuansheng held her chin and squeezed it in his hands. Her wound caused her more pain and she winced. "You dare harm Xinying when I am there? Now I am going to ruin not only you but your entire family." Saying that he pushed her backwards. He wanted to take his gun out and shoot her point blank.

She stumbled led a little and then with rage, took her hand up with the knife and lunged at him. "Die" she screamed as she attacked him. The knife would have landed on his chest but he caught her hand midair, twisted it and forced the hand to turn to her neck. The knife stabbed her neck. Bi Yu fell on the ground with blood running out of her neck. Her aorta was ruptured. She looked at Xie Yuansheng towering above her with a cold gaze. "You bast- y-" she managed to whisper before going still. The world around her froze as she struggled to breathe.

"Leave her like that," said Xie Yuansheng. He wanted her to taste her own medicine of harming Feng Xinying slowly. Now she would die a slow, painful death. He left her in the room and walked out wiping his hands with his hankie. 

On his way back to the hospital, he had asked his lawyer and accountant to go for a forced takeover of Starline Agency. 

When Feng Xinying woke up in the hospital, she found Keira sitting on the chair. "Where is Xie Yuansgeng?" she asked as she got up to prop herself on the pillows. 

"He had to go for an important business. He should be back soon," she replied with a smile. Then she asked, "How are you feeling sister-in-law?" 

Feng Xinying gave her a lovely smile and said, "I am feeling much better Keira." 

Keira got up and hugged her. It was wonderful to be the sister-in-law of her best friend. She went to the fruit basket and brought an orange for her. 

"Has the doctor prepared the discharge papers?" she asked while eating it.

"Umm… I don't know…" replied Keira. 

Feng Xinying took another piece of orange and said, "Keira, I wanted to ask you about something."

"Sure dear, what is it?" she asked. 

"These days I am feeling very emotional. I don't feel like working and keep thinking of either lazing down or sleeping. What is happening to me?" 

Keira looked at her and then held her hand. "Xinying, you are thinking too much. There is a lot going on in your life. Maybe you should just take a holiday and go out. I really feel bad for you. In two months, there have been two attempts of murder on you. I am sure this takes mental toll." 

Feng Xinying nodded. She could feel lethargic all the time. 

"Also, not to mention the fact that you had lost a lot of blood in the recent attack, so you will take time to recover," said Keira. 

Feng Xinying pursed her lips. She thought that she was actually thinking a lot and that she should think of the future rather than thinking about the past. She took another piece of orange. 

"It is Xie Yuansheng's birthday in two days. I don't know what to present him…" 

Keira became excited, "Oh wow! Let's celebrate. Let's all go to someplace where no one bothers us!" 

Feng Xinying laughed, "Yes, sure. But what do I give him." 

"I have the perfect thing. I am going and buying you a beautiful dress which you should wear in front of him and present yourself as a gift," said Keira feeling excited with her idea. 

"What? I think he is already charmed by me! I don't need to present myself like that," replied Feng Xinying rolling her eyes. 

"Oof! You don't understand men. They love when their women entice them. So just listen to me and do what I say. I have been your manager for so many years. Let me manage you now also, okay?" Keira scolded her. 

Xie Yuansheng entered the room by then. "Why are you scolding my wife?" he asked glaring at Keira. 

Keira glared him back. "Don't you glare at me mister! I will not tolerate this!" She said keeping her hands on her waist. Xie Yuansheng became quiet immediately. Yes, he feared her at a certain level. 

Feng Xinying laughed. 

In the next one hour, the doctor had prepared the discharge papers and they headed for home. The doctor had asked her to be careful about it. "It is healing well Miss Xinying. Just don't let it get wet for a few more days. Come back on Monday for me to check it. Once I give you the green flag, you may join the film shoot again." 

Keira left for her home. Xie Yuansheng held Feng Xinying's hand all the time in the car and fussed around her when they reached home so much that by the end of the time she was settled in the bedroom, all the servants were extremely irritated. 

He was so happy to get her back home that he refused to let her go anywhere other than the bedroom. He wanted to keep an eye on her and feel a.s.sured that she was there. They had dinner in the bedroom. After dinner the two of them started chatting about various things. Feng Xinying kept her head on his lap while talking and he combed her hair with his fingers. Soon she slept in his lap. Xie Yuansheng stayed frozen like that until she turned her head to the other side. It was midnight when she woke up feeling queasy in her stomach. She woke up and went to the bathroom. 

Next day Xie Yuansheng woke up at 7AM. He found that Feng Xinying was not in the bed. He became panicky and sprang up to go to find her. He heard some conversation going on in the changing room. He went and stood there to watch her. 

"I can come from Tuesday… Sorry, Lu Dao…" She disconnected the call. She found him looking at her. He held her hand and walked her back to the bed. 

"You look so pale darling," he said as he rubbed his hand on her cheeks softly.
