Feng Xinying was speechless when she read the letter. She looked at her aunt and then at Shu Ning. Her cousins were all silent feeling very awkward. One of them said, "Big sister, this was a letter when you were in America. Please don't think much-"

Shu Ning suddenly cut upon her sister. "Shut up!" Then she looked at her mother and said, "This is all your fault! I kept telling you to go to Xie Weihui aunt with this letter when Feng Xinying wasn't here but you kept delaying it and see now what has happened! Some other woman has taken my place." 

Feng Jiao Long retorted, "Shu Ning, have you no sense? You were in your high school at that time. How could you even think of marriage? You graduated this year. Also there was already news in the media that Xie Yuansheng and Feng Xinying were in a relations.h.i.+p. I couldn't do anything!" 

"You have always been good for nothing mother!" shouted Shu Ning. "Also, I don't care now. Feng Xinying should divorce Xie Yuansheng and he should marry me, otherwise I will go to the court with this letter that you all have promised me marriage to Xie Yuansheng and now you are not complying with it. My friends have started making my joke ever since they heard about Xie Yuansheng's marriage with Feng Xinying." 

Feng Xinying felt like standing and slapping that unreasonable girl in front of her.

Almost everyone around her jumped with surprise.

Xie Yuansheng saw that I was swimming and he also changed and came to swim. I was in the middle of the pool when suddenly I felt as though someone was swimming with me. On stopping, I notice that Xie Yuansheng was swimming with me. I greeted him and he said, "You look lovely Shu Ning. What is a beauty like you doing in my swimming pool?" I was surprised. But the point is that he was attracted to me. He offered me a gift of pearl necklace if I had s.e.x with him." 

Feng Xinying couldn't believe her ears. She felt like puking. Incidentally, she had the chicken soup that Xie Yuansheng had prepared for her that morning. She wanted to reason with herself that this happened when she in America but Xie Yuansheng had told her that he loved her ever since she was in high school with him. 

"At that time I was just seventeen. So I refused him but he said that he would wait for me," Shu Ning said and became quiet trying to read Feng Xinying's mind. 

Feng Xinying was extremely riled up. She thought, "even though Xie Yuansheng said that he loved me since high school, I wasn't there for him. I didn't even know that he loved me. As a young man if he was attracted to Shu Ning, I can't blame him." But whatever reason she would give to herself, her heart felt sadder. 

Feng Xinying looked at her aunt. She got up from there and said, "I would like to take your leave auntie. I will come some other time…" Saying that without speaking another word she collected her purse and went out.

All the way back home, she wondered what would be the repercussions of the letter if Shu Ning took it to the court? She went online and started searching for Shu Ning's social media accounts. She was shocked when she saw what was written over there. 

"I am waiting for my love, Xie Yuansheng to come and sweep me off my feet."

"His mother had promised his hand to me in marriage."

"There is no one who would love him more than me."

"Brother Yuansheng loves me a lot!" 

There was a photo of Xie Yuansheng with her on her social media account. 

While she was going back to home, Xie Yuansheng was going to her aunt's place to pick her up. When he got there, he found that she wasn't there. Shu Ning was sitting there with her aunt and her cousins. 

"Brother Yuansheng!" exclaimed Shu Ning. She jumped out of the sofa went to him. She tugged at her s.h.i.+rt and said, "Are you mad at me?" 

Xie Yuansheng looked around and said, "No Shu Ning, why will I be mad at you?" 

"Then why haven't you called me even once. It's me who calls you always. Earlier you used to pick up the phone, but now you don't. Do you hate me so much?" she asked taking his hand and keeping it on her cheek. 

Xie Yuansheng immediately withdrew her hand from her cheek feeling weird. "Where is Feng Xinying?" he asked. 

"She left a few minutes ago," replied Shu Ning. She held Xie Yuansheng fingers and pulled him inside. "Now that you have come, you must sit and spend some of your time with us."

"Left?" he was confused. 

Xie Yuansheng noticed that although Shu Ning was very chirpy and excited, her mother and her siblings were tense. Xie Yuansheng went and sat there and Shu Ning sat with him. She started talking very excitedly about how much she waited to meet him from a long time. Her mother went inside to prepare some tea for him. The siblings were feeling awkward. They also left one by one. When Xie Yuansheng was left alone with Shu Ning, she became all the more vulgar. She s.h.i.+fted and sat next to Xie Yuansheng. Then she held his hand, brought it to her chest and said, "See Brother Yuansheng, my heart is beating so fast after seeing you today!" 

Xie Yuansheng was horrified at her behavior. He retracted his hand from there quickly. "What are you doing?" he said and got up from there. 

"I was just telling you my feelings brother," said Shu Ning with teary eyes, feeling hurt. 

"You should not do this kind of a thing, Shu Ning," he replied as he patted her head. 

"Sorry brother…" she said lowering her head.
