When Feng Xinying left the apartment Su Haobing called her from behind, "Young Miss what do you mean, "Leave!" I haven't even done anything. Why should I leave? I will go at my own pace," he was so angry with her that he wanted to go against whatever order she gave. He was becoming worried about Su Lang with every pa.s.sing minute. 

He looked outside the window and saw that there was a huge commotion. Not able to see things clearly, he looked over there through his binoculars and was shocked to see a pool of blood. Did his sniper gun fired by mistake? He checked all the bullets and they were intact. Then was there another party involved? Without thinking twice, he quickly started winding up his things and disa.s.sembling his gun. However, not even five minutes had pa.s.sed, someone knocked on his door. He thought that Feng Xinying had come back, but when he opened the door, he found police outside. 

He was shocked. Who the h.e.l.l had sent police over there? What was going on? Before he had a chance to run, he was arrested and pinned to the ground on charges of murder. Within the next ten minutes, Su Haobing was sitting in the police van for a murder he didn't commit. 

In the hospital, the operation was going on. Xie Shengjun had called his five months pregnant wife Keira who kept sitting and holding Feng Xinying's hand for a long time. Feng Xinying had stopped speaking. She just kept waiting for the operation to get over and know how was her husband. She didn't eat or drink anything. Nothing would enter her throat. 

Xie Shengjun on the other hand was talking to men about the incident when all of a sudden his eyes fell on the TV that was installed outside the operation theater in the lobby where the patients' guardians waited. A news was being aired -"Xie Yuansheng's Killing - The Man Involved." There were images of Su Haobing being shown on the TV. Xie Shengjun knew who Su Haobing was and this only meant one thing - the entire blame would come on Feng Xinying if Su Haobing opened his mouth. Did Su Haobing actually attempt to kill Xie Yuansheng? Did Feng Xinying actually try to kill her own husband? Did Xie Yuansheng sacrificed himself knowing fully well that Feng Xinying was after his life? Did he sacrifice himself for his love only because he couldn't bear to her hatred? Xie Shengjun was speechless. 

This couldn't be possible… 

Finally the operation got over after five hours. In those five hours Feng Xinying just had one thing in her - Xie Yuansheng. She kept thinking about how she would compensate for all those moments she had spent in hating him. She missed him so much that she would whisper to her unborn child, "Don't worry little bun. We won't be alone." Then like a crazy woman she would sing a lullaby to her little bun so softly that only she would hear it. 

When Xie Yuansheng was rolled out of the operation theater, she sprang from her place and rushed to him. He was unconscious. There was blood bottle on one side and drip on the other. "How is he?" she managed to ask the doctor as all of them walked. 

The doctor replied, "The bullet got itself fixed in the outer flesh near the heart. So his heart has been saved by G.o.d's grace by just a centimeter. The fact that he wore a bullet proof jacket inside saved him to a great extent but he has lost a lot of blood. We have tried to remove the bullet, which was in his ribcage. We didn't want to cut through his lungs a lot because that would have been risky. Using hi-tech operation techniques we have tried to create as less lesion inside his body as possible and we have been able to extract the bullet successfully."

Feng Xinying opened her hands. She touched the sheet that covered him to feel him. 

"However, he will be under supervision for the next forty eight hours. His brain cells have swollen due to trauma and we are waiting for them to reduce. That needs to reduce. Hence he will be in the post-operative ward," the doctor added. 

"Okay," she replied. Xie Shengjun joined them. Even he heard the doctor. 

Xie Yuansheng was wheeled inside the post operative ward and the doors of the ward closed on Feng Xinying's face. 

"Let us go home Xinying," said Keira. She was scared that Feng Xinying was pregnant and needed a lot of rest now. 

"No Keira. I will stay here. How can I stay away from the man who loved me to the extent that he agreed to get killed only because I hated my father killer's sons? Xie Yuansheng is a mad man. He had lost his sanity. But do you know Keira, I am madder. I won't leave his side till he regains consciousness," she said and went to the doctor. "I need a VIP room here." She requested him. 

"Yes, Miss Xinying," he replied and instructed his staff to do what she had asked. 

When she went to the room, Xie Shengjun and Keira also followed. They couldn't leave her alone. For Xie Shengjun it was a G.o.d-sent gift. He was burning with rage. He wanted to reprimand Feng Xinying, but couldn't come to do it. 

Feng Xinying went to the bathroom and took a hot bath. She had to find the person who dared to kill her husband. She only had one clue. Lim Chuen had hired that person. That was her only lead. She washed herself with soap repeatedly to remove the blood of that wretched snake from her body. When she felt cleaner, she stepped out of the bathroom in her bathrobe, and found Xie Shengjun staring at her. 

"Did you kill Xie Yuansheng?" he asked one question only. 

"No." It was a one-word answer, which clarified his doubts. She took the towel and started wiping her hair.
