Keira had gone outside the room to call home in order to ask the butler to send food for them. When Lu Boyun heard about the situation, he felt weak in his legs. What the h.e.l.l happened to such a beautiful family? He knew that his old master Feng Zhantian was looking benevolently at the couple he would have loved the most. He made Feng Xinying's favorite, the chicken soup, and immediately rushed to the hospital. When he arrived at the VIP room, he noticed how pale she looked. He saw that Keira and Xie Shengjun were also present there. The first thing he did was to lay out food for his young miss and then gave some to Keira and Shengjun. 

Feng Xinying didn't want to eat a single bite. "Young Miss, you have to eat, not for yourself, but for the young master's baby."

Feng Xinying looked at Lu Boyun. This was the first time someone said, "Young Master's Baby." She smiled and felt tenderness for her baby. He belonged to Xie Yuansheng and she had to keep him healthy. She went to the table, picked up the soup bowl and had it suddenly realizing that she was indeed very hungry. Both Keira and Xie Shengjun were satisfied and they also ate their food. When the meals were over, Lu Boyun said, "I am here with young miss. I suggest that the two of you take a rest." He sounded like an affectionate elderly grandmother. The two of them left and Feng Xinying went to lie down. Lu Boyun covered her with a blanket and said, "Young Miss, I am sitting right outside along with the rest of the security. So whenever you need me, just call me."

"Okay…" she replied. While lying on the bed, her thoughts went back to the entire scene. She started wondering who could have fired the bullet. She wanted to find the person as soon as possible. Suddenly she found herself surrounded by white mist. She wanted to get out of that mist. She couldn't see anything around her, except whiteness. It was suffocating. Unexpectedly, there was a loud shot and everything around her became dark. 

It was 6PM when Feng Xinying woke up. Her whole body was lined with sweat. It was just a dream. She took a deep breath and removed the blanket from her. As she got down from the bed, she remembered the last time, when they were in the hospital. She was not speaking to Xie Yuansheng because he countered her against Chang Ling. Now she wanted those days back and speak to him non-stop. She had lost so many days in her arrogance. The thought was unbearable. She s.h.i.+rked off the thought from her mind and reminded herself that there was a brighter future ahead. There has to be a brighter future. 

She took a shawl that was lying neatly folded on the sofa and went out of the room. As soon as the security saw her, they all stood up. "Good evening Young Miss," greeted the head of security. She nodded. 

"Young Miss, you should look at the news. It seems they have caught the shooter," he informed her. 

Feng Xinying stared at him. Then she just walked past him in the direction of the post operative ward. She walked there and looked inside. She couldn't see anyone through the small gla.s.s window that was in the door. She knocked. A nurse came out who by now knew that Xie Yuansheng was a VVIP patient. She greeted her and said, "Young Miss, Sir is still unconscious." 

"Can I see him?" 

"Yes, you can but you need to change into hospital scrubs."

"Okay…" The nurse took her to an adjacent room where she changed and then was guided by the nurse in the ward. As she walked towards Xie Yuansheng's bed, she noticed that there were so many patients, most of them unconscious in the ward. When she reached his bed, she saw him lying still over there. She reached his side and was about to touch his hand when the nurse said, "Young Miss, please don't touch the patient. We don't want any infections." 

Feng Xinying nodded and the nurse left saying that she has to leave within ten minutes. 

Feng Xinying looked at her husband. He looked pale. His rosy lips were brownish, his skin had lost its s.h.i.+ne and there were so many tubes running out of his system. She whispered, "Hubby, come back to me soon. Both Baby Xie Yuansheng and me need you… If you are listening to me, it wasn't me who fired the shot, but I promise you that I will find out as to who did it." A tear ran out of her eye. She wiped it soon. She couldn't let the tears ruin her anger. Feng Xinying left after ten minutes. As soon as she left, Xie Yuansheng's left toe twitched. 

When she came out she went to her head of security. "Show me the news," she said. She was keen to see who had shot her husband.

The head switched on the TV in the room. To her utter shock, Feng Xinying saw that pictures of Su Haobing were splashed everywhere stating that he was the murderer of the famous industrialist Xie Yuansheng. The news anchor was reading the news that the prominent industrialist Xie Yuansheng had died because the sniper shot at him to take revenge. The first thing that came to Feng Xinying's mind was how would police come there. That was the venue of meeting where all the underworld mafia leaders were meeting. Xie Yuansheng would have never called the police. So who called the police? 

Lim Chuen had said that someone very close to her had been working with him and that person had been working with him since she was a small child. Who could that be? She looked at the head of the security and asked, "What about the meeting?"

"It is been postponed indefinitely. Since the news is already out, we suspect that there is going to be chaos in the organization. Someone might try to sabotage us by linking the company with it. It looks like things are getting out of hand," he replied feeling terrible.
