Xie Shengjun smiled at her thinking process and then closed the door behind him. The meeting had been called off and all the leaders of the underworld organization were sent back. It had become a huge issue with all of them. How could there be an a.s.sa.s.sination attempt on their leader? As soon as Xie Shengjun announced his claim to the chair, they all supported him immediately and promised that they would help him in finding the shooter. 

Flashback

He was going back home when he received a call from the boss that he was needed. A number was forwarded to him and he was supposed to call from a phone booth. He ate his food and drank the local wine and went to the phone booth to call the number. A female answered. "The boss wants someone killed. You will get a photo of the person in mail by tomorrow. We will send you the date, time and venue tomorrow morning."

"My payment will depend upon the target," he replied. 

"The target is high profile and so the payment is double but there is a condition," said the woman. 

"What?" 

"You have to wait for the target to be hit. In case the target is not hit as soon as he is out of the car, you have to fire your shot then."

"Okay," he replied and kept the phone down. 

That was new, he thought. He went to sleep in his small one bedroom apartment and by the time it was morning, he had received the envelope. In the envelope there was a photo and the address of the place where the shooting had to take place. It was a high precision work and needed extreme accuracy. Being a professional he was one of the most successful shooters in the country. He didn't shoot because he wanted money, but because it was his hobby. 

He took the envelope inside his apartment and fed the photo to the shredder after seeing it. He took a bath and packed his stuff and headed off to the place. The room was already ready for him to stay. All he had to do was wait for the target, do his work and disappear like a ghost as he always did. 

Present

When Feng Xinying woke up in the morning, the first thing she did was to go and see Xie Yuansheng. The nurse allowed her to visit him for sometime. Once again she wasn't allowed to touch him. "How is he?" she asked softly.

"He is stable but is still unconscious…" she replied slightly dejected. 

Feng Xinying only stared at him for a long time and didn't ask any other question. After watching him for five minutes, she left the ward. When she reached the room, she found that Lu Boyun had come with breakfast. "Young Miss, please have something," he said as he spread it on the table. 

While she was having breakfast, the security head came. "Good morning Miss Xinying."

Feng Xinying stopped eating. "Tell me about the bullet," she ordered. 

"That bullet is made for a sniper gun," he replied.

"Why was a sniper gun used? Is it more fatal as compared to small gun?" she asked. 

"It is used for long distance shooting," he said. 

"Do you mean that a revolver or a small hand gun is not able to make that kind of an attack?" 

"No, young miss."

"The bullet was lodged at a thirty degree angle in Xie Yuansheng's chest. Does that mean that the shooter was somewhere in a tall building around?" 

"Yes, that is right," he replied marveling at the way she deduced the place of shooting.

"So which tall buildings are there around the venue of the meeting?" she asked concentrating hard on the entire landscape from her memory.

"There is only one high rise building that is located in the vicinity."

"Then go and find out if any room had been recently rented out. Most likely the shooter would have been hiding there," she ordered. 

"Yes, Young Miss," said the security head and left. He had asked his men to scan all the possible places where the shooter could be but now after he had talked to Feng Xinying, he knew where to go. There was just one building that fitted the description very well. He called his people to find out about it. 

Flashback

He had set up his sniper gun perfectly to shoot the target. He wanted to sleep for the night but this was the first time, he was getting such a fantastic payment. And it was not that always you get to hit such high profile men. He had to conduct the job perfectly. However, the only problem was that it was too windy that day. When he woke up in the morning, he sat there non-stop waiting for the target to come. He looked around to find if he could find the other sniper but couldn't. So he had to work on his intuition.  

Present

The security head came back in an hour with his report but as soon as he opened the room he saw that Feng Xinying's aunt was sitting there and talking to her. She was peeling an apple and saying, "Ying'er, I saw on the TV that the shooter has been found. Why don't you contact the police and ask them to hang him to death or give him the maximum penalty?"

Feng Xinying lowered her head. "I don't have time for the police right now. I am going to stay beside Xie Yuansheng…"

The security head closed the door and waited outside. This was not the time to speak anything. 

"That is right, you should focus on Xie Yuansheng for now. We can talk to the police later," replied Jiao Long. She cut the apple and gave it to Feng Xinying who ate it slowly. It was 10AM and she was waiting for Xie Shengjun. 

Suddenly there was a ping on her phone,
