"Which file do you want to discuss Xie Yuansheng?" asked Feng Xinying. She wanted to go back home. The first day at the office was tiring. She didn't know that a nine to five job would be so tiring.

"There is a new project that has come up. We are planning to get into the baby segment, so I want you to make notes on that. Get the Baby boo file," he answered with a tired look.

Feng Xinying went outside to her desk and started looking for the file. She must have looked though a number of files, drawers and even trashcan, but she couldn't find anything. It was already past 5pm and most of the office employees had left. Only Xia Lin was there who was looking at Feng Xinying with a smirk.

It was more than ten minutes and she hadn't been to find that file. Irritated, she just left searching for it and rested her elbows on the desk. She puffed her cheeks and wondered where would that file be. Then she looked at her computer and searched for the file, but there was none.

Ten minutes later, the phone on her table rang. "Feng Xinying, what is wrong? Can you get back over here quickly?"

Feng Xinying quickly searched for the file again, and exasperated she got up from there and entered his office empty-handed. She didn't know anything about the project and she was too embarra.s.sed to tell him that the file wasn't there. What would he think of her capability? But the truth had to be told.

When Feng Xinying left, Xia Lin sneered. She had five different pen drives in her hand. All of them contained very important information about various projects and she had stolen them from the desk of Feng Xinying. Quickly she kept them in her purse and left the building.

Xie Yuansheng saw her coming empty-handed. He asked, "Where is the file?"

"The file is not there on my desk…" she replied, head lowered.

He narrowed his eyes and said, "Okay, come here. The project details are here in my system."

Feng Xinying went there. She stood a few feet away from him. He got up from his chair and went past her.

Feng Xinying thought, 'is he going somewhere after putting me to work? What will I understand unless he explains me anything?' But she saw the Xie Yuansheng had gone to pick a chair for her. He placed the chair behind her for her to sit. He signaled her to sit. Thinking how silly she was to conclude about him, she sat on the chair and thanked him.

They discussed about the project and she made some notes. By the end of it, she was sitting on his chair while he was on hers. Together they finished it within another one hour. Feng Xinying was very tired. She started yawning. She looked at him and saw that he was also very tired. He had eye bags and looked overworked. He was ma.s.saging his neck and rubbing his forehead.

Out of curtsey she asked, "Do you want me to get a medicine for you?"

Xie Yuansheng looked at her and said, "Could you rub my forehead?"

Fl.u.s.tered, she felt trapped in her own offer. "Okay," she said hurriedly and got up from her chair to rub his forehead. Within minutes she saw that he had slouched on the chair. He had slept.

Feng Xinying was surprised. Quietly she left the office, collected her purse from her desk and went to the parking to her car. As she was about to open the car, she heard him, "Wait!"

She turned sharply to look at him. "But he was sleeping!" she murmured in surprise.

"Leave your car here. We can go and have dinner together and then go home together," he said taking her purse from her hand, not giving her a chance to speak.

"But you have to go for dinner with w.a.n.g Zǐróng," she said with surprise.

All of a sudden as if w.a.n.g Zǐróng had heard her, w.a.n.g Zǐróng called from behind, "Xie Yuansheng, I was waiting for you in car. Let's go for our dinner date." Saying that she came next to him and coiled her hands around his arm. She saw Feng Xinying's purse in his hand and became extremely jealous. He had never shown that kind of closeness to her. She had waited for him in the parking area for a long time. And now he was standing here with her purse in his hand.

Feng Xinying raised her eyebrow, and extended her hand to him so that he would give her purse back. Instead of giving the purse to her, Xie Yuansheng held her hand and pulled her leaving a flabbergasted w.a.n.g Zǐróng with a mouth wide open. Xie Yuansheng turned and said, "w.a.n.g Zǐróng, I am very busy today with Feng Xinying. We will go out some other time."

To Feng Xinying's surprise, he literally dragged her from there and opened the car door of his Mercedes for her to step in, in front of w.a.n.g Zǐróng and drove away with her royally.

w.a.n.g Zǐróng stomped. "You b.i.t.c.h! I will see you!"
