She was so engrossed in her churning thoughts that didn't realize his presence, her heart started beating like a jungle drum in trepidation, 'Oh no! How much had he heard?'

Feng Jianyu stared at her with raised brows. There was sweat on her upper lip and her forehead, despite the Freon cooling system installed on the terrace, while her face was drained out of the blood and her body taut with tension.

"Mei!" He gently approached her, "Is something bothering you? Are you fine? Should I ask w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ to examine you once?"

Xiu Mei looked up into his gentle dark brown eyes, controlling her frantic breath, she shook her head, "No, nothing! I'm absolutely fine!"

He c.o.c.ked his head to one side, refusing to believe her words. "If you are fine, then why there are beads of sweat on your lips?" saying he rubbed her thumb over her upper lips to wipe it.

His sudden intimate touch made her jump and her heart skitter. How she wished she could be left alone for some more time. Wiping her palm over her forehead she said, "Probably it's too hot today!! Nothing else"

"All right! Let's have dinner then" Even though he didn't believe her words but accepted it.

They had a special dinner on the open terrace. A round wooden table was arranged in the middle of the terrace while lots of floor cus.h.i.+ons were arranged around it. Feng Jianyu led her to it and sat her down before taking a seat beside her.

'What's wrong with this man? Why is he so gentle today? Oh G.o.d! His gentleness is making me feel uncomfortable!! Please Feng Jianyu behave like before, you are scaring the h.e.l.l out of me!!' she screamed inwardly.

Soon w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ and Feng Junjie joined them on the table to enjoy the dinner together.
