As she was patching Feng Jianyu's wound, Xiu Mei's phone rang that was kept beside her. She glanced at it, only to find that Xion's a.s.sistant Wu Zixin was calling her. But her hands were smeared with medicine not allowing her to take the call.

"It's ok… I'll help you" Before she could ignore the call, Feng Jianyu answered it and holds the phone against her ear. She was caught off guard by this sudden action as her intention was to call back Wu Zixin later.

"Hey…"

Wu Zixin: "Miss. Mei, ummm… Boss told me to….."

"I know what his order is. Just tell him he missed his chance…"

Wu Zixin: "Miss. Mei, Please… "

"It was not my fault this morning yet I tried once… Now no more" Before Wu Zixin could say anything further she jerked her head away from the phone, "Hang Up" she mouthed Feng Jianyu.

"Mei, who is Mr. X?" Feng Jianyu asked coldly. "My boss" she replied casually without paying much attention.

Xiu Mei stared at him with widened eyes as if trying to grasp what he was saying before the color drained from her face, leaving her breathless, "Feng Jianyu what rubbish are you asking? What made you think you can ask me this question?" she scowled panting for breath.

"I asked thinking about the cordiality between you and your boss, If it's true…"

Before he could complete his sentence Xiu Mei answered in an exasperated expression, "No…. I don't need a man to complete my life… Please get this s.h.i.+t out of your mind"

Feng Jianyu smiled inwardly at this answer, "This means you're single"

"Do you have a comprehensibility problem? Yes… I'm single and I intend to stay like that for my whole life"

"There is nothing between you and Mr. X?"

"No…. never"

"This means I've no love rival?"

"No…." Xiu Mei paused for a moment to pay attention to his question, "Wait! What did you just say? I dare you to repeat it once more?" she scowled.

She glared at the man sitting in front of her as if planning various ways to kill him for his crime. "What do you mean by love rival?" Pointing her finger she warned him, "Think before you speak! I'm giving you one more chance"

"NO LOVE RIVAL means I've n.o.body to compete with me when I'll court you…" Feng Jianyu answered shamelessly giving her a charming smile.

Angered by his shameless response she retorted back, "You… How dare you? No one is allowed to court me? I'll never allow a man to step into my life"

"And why is that? I don't remember you being a lesbian" he gasped, "Don't tell me you're lesbian" light humor tinged his gaze as he eyed her mischievously.

"What?" Xiu Mei snapped amazed as she shook her head vigorously, "Of course not, my s.e.xual orientation is straight. I'm only interested in m….. cough… single. I'm only interested in being single" she zipped her lips before going any further.
