"Come! What are you waiting for? Christmas?" Gently holding her hand, Xion pulled her into the lift with him. But Xiu Mei's body was stiffened, refused to budge an inch from its position. She woke up from her dilemma when a heavy warning comes from the phone she was still holding onto her ear.

"Ask that jerk to let go your hand, otherwise I'm going to chop his hands off"

Reflexively she pulled her hands out from Xion's grip, oblivious that her gesture was too harsh. The charming smile on Xion's face flew away, replacing it with a frown and curious gaze. "What's wrong? Is there an issue?"

The enthusiasm in Xiu Mei's eyes was long died because of these two irritating men who are too much of a problem right now. Rubbing down the frown lines on her forehead, she picked her bag from the floor and looked at Xion apologetically. "Um… Actually I can't go with you on a chopper"

"Why?"

"Because… Due to severe indigestion in the past days, my stomach churns at the thought of flying high in the air. I don't want to puke one more time, please…."

Xion's lips pressed into a thin line looking at her pity expression. "Alright!"

Xiu Mei wanted to take a silent sigh of relief but the very next sentence of Xion s.n.a.t.c.hed that opportunity from her. "I will drop you by car"

Xiu Mei "…."

"X…."

"No… No more discussion. How can….."

***BEEP*** BEEP*** before Xion could complete his sentence someone honked. Mei's face turned pale hearing this familiar sound…. The sound of her car honk….

'Monster… you did it deliberately!! Enjoying this? Huh?' She looked at the car and cursed him a thousand times.

"That's your car? You are not alone? Who's sitting inside?" Before Xion could stride towards her car she stood in front of him and smiled. "It's ok, that's my new friend. Probably she's irritated by waiting too long. I should better get going."

"Really? Your friend? How about an introduction than?" Xion's brows perked up that she made a new friend. Knowing her reserved personality and antisocial nature, she never did it in the past. Then what's so good about this new girl that she befriended her all of a sudden. Pus.h.i.+ng her out of his way, Xion walked towards the car to clear the suspicion.

In the car, Feng Jianyu gave a smug smile when he noticed Lu Xion is approaching the car for an introduction. Due to his lips reading skills he was already aware of what they talked about a moment ago. 'Great! Let's get over with this cat and mouse game, Lu Xion…. Let me apprise you personally that she's mine, only mine… forever and ever. Let me warn you personally, that you are not allowed to have any parallel thoughts about my woman. Otherwise.....'

As the two alpha males were approaching closer, she could feel the impending danger coming closer. Standing on the side, Xiu Mei can already see the sparks of thunder clas.h.i.+ng, even without their actual meeting. She shuddered thinking about the deadly outcome of what will happen if they meet in real.

Taking a deep breath, she unzipped the bag in which orange was kept. "Buddy…. Let the security alarm of Xion's office clang.....NOW… Only you can savage the situation."

Within 3 seconds of her order, the small device kept in Xion's pocket started ringing loudly. He is aware of what that is and gave a cautious glance to Xiu Mei before s.h.i.+elding her protectively. Within a minute the entire building was in lock down and she could hear the footsteps of some men approaching them.

Soon Xion's bodyguards encircled them, to cover for any approaching danger. Biting her lips, looking at the chaos she had caused, she sneaked a glance at her car and gestured Jianyu with her hands that the situation is under control, don't fret.

Jianyu shook his head in amazement, "Naughty Chipmunk! So this was your doing!" With the sudden change in the situation, he was himself about to press the emergency b.u.t.ton to summon his bodyguards for Xiu Mei's safety. But decided to wait a little while and see how the situation unfolds.

"X, that's the emergency security alarm. Somebody has intruded inside the company, to be exact in your office. Let's go and check who it could be. What if that intruder enters inside my lab too…

Although it's not possible, why take a risk. " She was aware that in a situation like this Xion will first try to make her leave the premises unscathed ASAP. And this was what he did…

"No… I'll check who this could be, no need to go there personally. You are leaving this place right now," saying he pushed her to the car.

Feeling indignant towards the certain monster, who pushed her to do this hideous task; she sits down in the car with a twisted face and drives off out of the company. On the orders of Xion, the barrier of the parking lot was lifted for a few seconds to let her car out.

On the way, Feng Jianyu looked at the woman sitting beside him with a puffed up cheeks. Throughout the way neither she looked at him nor talked. When he tried to touch her cheek to comfort her, mercilessly she slapped his hand away. When he tried to talk to her, she increased the volume of the music to the highest, refusing to hear him.

Like a lovelorn puppy, he made several attempts to get her attention, but she was indifferent to all of them.

*RING* Her phone rang…. It was Xion calling to inform her that it was faux alarm and the situation is back to normal.

"Alright X… I'll check the reason behind this faux alarm. But most probably it's a minor technical glitch. But to be safe I'll double check it. Bye…"
