But the very next second an unexpected thing happened with him. Suddenly the entire place was lit up with eruption of firecrackers. Standing on the other side of the lake few of Feng Junjie's men were popping the fireworks.

Feng Jianyu lifted his head up to see the fireworks, his hands lightly grazed the hand of the girl from her elbow to her palm, clasping it tightly in between his fingers.

He was stunned for at least 20 seconds before he regained his senses. With a smile tucked on his face he looked at the girl standing beside him. As their gaze collided he bends down to kiss the top of her head.

Lifting their clasped hands up, he kissed the back of her hand before rubbing it on his cheeks. His loving gesture melts her heart like a bar of white chocolate. If Jianyu was busy looking at the myriad of fireworks arranged by HER, then Xiu Mei was too busy to take note of every expression appearing on his face. She wanted to savor this mesmerizing scene when he smiles because she has done something special for him.

The entire lake was shrouded in different streaks of colors, popping one after another, illuminating the atmosphere. Fireworks reflection in the lake created the illusion that two different light shows are happening simultaneously, one high in the air and another on the water.

Xiu Mei wanted to wait a little longer to accompany him in the fireworks show, but unfortunately, she has to execute the next part of her plan. She tried to pull out her hand from his, careful enough not to break his attention but failed instantly.

He looked at her questionably. Pulling a cheeky smile she rubbed her hand on his cape, "Sweaty! Keep looking at it. Another surprise is going to appear" Without thinking much, his attention turned back to fireworks.

After the overwhelming display of fireworks for the good 10 minutes, the entire place was covered in darkness again. He snapped back to reality and turned to look at her, but she has vanished. "Mei?" Looking around, he desperately called for her.

"Mei?"

"Mei, if this is a joke then please stop it here only."

"Come out!"

"Love, I'm telling you… if you dare to trip or hurt yourself, I'll tie you up to the bed and set this stupid cape of yours on fire"

Hiding herself from him, she giggles and reached her hand inside the pocket of her cape and took out a remote controlling device and pressed a b.u.t.ton.

All of a sudden the entire place was lit up with bright fairy lights. From the trees to flower bed around the lake, everything lit up beautifully. Even the lake was decorated with small star-shaped lights in white color to make it look as though stars have fallen on the ground.

Feng Jianyu heaved a sigh of relief when the place was lit up. "Thank G.o.d! At least she can see properly now" His eyes keep looking around in search of her.

He was facing the wooden deck that leads to the center of the lake forming the big circle in the middle. Beneath the deck, the warm yellow LED lights were reflecting, highlighting the deck subtly all the way to the center.

In the center of the lake, a table for two was arranged with a lavish spread. From somewhere, a piece of light piano music was reverberating. From the nearby rose garden, the cold breeze was bringing along the rose fragrance, making the atmosphere perfect for a date night.

The only thing that was missing was the girl herself. And with every pa.s.sing second, Feng Jianyu's heartbeat was increasing. His eyes desperately wandering around for his one and only….

"Did you like my surprise?" A soft voice was heard, making him turn back instantly. His movement was as fast as the wind. The moment his eyes fell on the girl, his heart skipped a beat, everything around him came to standstill, and the fireworks were now popping inside his brain.

At that moment if anything that was worth getting his attention was the woman standing in front of him.

But… But she didn't look like Xiu Mei at all. She had done something different with her hair, instead of her usual ponytail or open hair, they are twisted into a messy but elegant bun, leaving the two strands of hair fall from either side of her face. She was wearing Ralph and Russo tube top gown in white color that hugged her upper body perfectly, highlighting her curves and from the waist down it flows like a waterfall.

The top was hand embroidered in blue color 3D flowers, which lightly spreads on the fluffy skirt. She matched it with the same color heels. From the front, the gown reached till her calf but from back it was trailing by few inches, giving her a young look.

But the highlight of the gown was the tube top that was wrapped on her upper body, exposing her jade-like skin above the breast. He gulped looking at her collar bones, long neck, and slender shoulders. 'What would it feel like running my hand on her skin?'

The makeup on her beautiful face was almost negligible. His eyes caught sight of her cherry lips; she has probably reapplied the lipstick. He smirked inwardly, 'Great, I'll lick it again'. But the most surprising thing about her look was that she was not supporting any jewelry except earrings, and yet she looked dazzling.

Looking at her in that dress, he would not say she was looking like a cute girl but beautiful woman, there was a vibe of maturity and confidence, making her look very attractive. Even the way she was holding herself was different. He couldn't understand how he hadn't spotted this different avatar before.

Feng Jianyu looked at her in a daze, he even forgot to blink, looking at the alluring beauty. Xiu Mei walked to the man and took his hand in hers. "Jianyu?"
