Feng Jianyu turned his attention back to her, "What does this have to do with my violin?" She looked at him in silence; Jianyu's eyes unwaveringly tried to read her eyes to decipher the meaning behind it. He didn't saw a spec of fun, mischief, naughtiness but a deep and serious pain. Her eyes were trying to tell something to him, but he was unable to read it.

Suddenly he recalled the night they fought, the very same night she walked out from the villa, leaving him alone. That night he played the violin for the first time after a break of seven years, and he saw her crying in pain. A deep heartfelt pain… As if something had triggered the pain.

He also recalled the moment her gaze fell on the violin box, she was dazed and uncomfortable. Her eyes refused to let go of the violin box for a long time. 'Was my violin somehow related to our past? Does it trigger some kind of bad memory? Or is there something in the violin itself?'

Feng Jianyu promptly takes out his phone to dial Feng Junjie's number, asking him to get his violin here, NOW… But before he could take any action, Xiu Mei got up from his stomach and walked to the nearby table, his eyes watching her every move.

When she turned to him, he saw she was walking back to him, holding a wooden box… Not any box but his violin box. This means she has planned something else too. He sits down on the wide mattress, waiting to get this mystery solved.

She lifted her gown and sat down opposite him, pa.s.sing the box to him. He gave a confused look but took the box anyways and opens it to examine the violin properly. A good 15 minutes pa.s.sed but he didn't find anything worth his attention. Before he could ask any question, he noticed how softly her hands were feeling the carvings of the violin box, keeping her eyes closed the entire time as if trying to read the meaning behind this intricate design.

His brows furrowed thinking about something. 'What if she was hinting at the violin box and not on the violin?' He glanced at the wooden carving for once and ran downstairs to get a pencil and a big sheet of paper, which was not a paper but blueprint of the castle. As the violin box was long, a normal print paper of A4 size won't be of much help. After rummaging the entire study, throwing every item here and there, he finally found this blueprint to be the most appropriate one. He can use the non-printed side of the blueprint for this work.

"Mei, just give it to me for once." She heard him saying and obediently pa.s.sed the box to him. He put the paper on the box and scribed roughly with graphite pencil to let the design be traced on the paper. He was so concentrated on his work as if this was the most important deal of his life, and his life depends on it.

After the design was printed he studied it carefully, trying to decipher the hidden meaning behind it. Xiu Mei huddled up her body into the corner, hugging her knees, watching him silently as he solves the mystery of the box. She had designed it in such a way that only he could solve it and no one else.

Jianyu once told her about his favorite painting, Leonardo Da Vinci's 'THE LAST SUPER', and about the concept of a secret musical note hidden in the painting- a music sheet left by Da Vinci himself. According to the painting, if the five lines of a musical staff [1] are drawn on the table of the Last Supper, then each bread roll in combination with the hands of the Apostles corresponds with a certain musical note.

She used a similar concept, but instead of any complicated musical lines, she designed the simple three words love confession for him, 'I Love You'. On the box young Feng Jianyu and teenage Xiu Mei were carved, depicting few beautiful moments of their time spent together. To solve the mystery he just has to consider the hands and limbs as dots and join them together to get a meaningful word.

As expected of Feng Jianyu, it didn't take her more than 6 minutes to find that it is somehow built on the concept of 'The Last Supper'. He was stunned when he realized the picture depicts the scenes of his time spent with her in the resort. This means the man and woman are him and Alice. From walking in the garden to playing violin every night, it was beautifully carved. He marked the limbs as a dot, and later joined them.

'I LOVE YOU'

He turned to look at her in disbelief. As their eyes collided, he could feel his world, his life, his heartbeat sitting there, looking at him with watery eyes, nodding her head. All this while he thought it was he who had fallen in love first, but how big of an idiot he was.

Now he understood why her resentment towards him was so bitter because she loved him. She felt betrayed by him, the man who was her first love. He wasted no time in thinking and bolted towards her to take her in his arms.

As if waiting for him to hug her protectively, the moment he hugged her, she hides her face in his chest and cried uncontrollably. "Jianyu…. Hug me tight, please. Don't let me go from your arms" He instinctively hugged her closer, making her sit on his lap. His both arms holding her firmly, trying to give comfort to the shaking girl.

"I won't let you go from my arms. Forever and ever" He tightened his hug, providing her the safe haven of his arms. How can he let go of the woman who was deeply and madly in love with him? All this while she hated him, yet she cannot forget her love towards him.

Today he is the happiest man in this world. Finding the one true love of your life is the most difficult thing to find, and he found one. He can proudly say that his woman loves Jianyu…. Only JIANYU… and not CEO Feng Jianyu or First master of Feng family or the legal heir of Feng Corporation. She has nothing do with his company, name, money, and power, all she cares about is JIANYU.

She loved him unconditionally when she was not aware of his ident.i.ty, and she loves him today and she will always love him forever. For her, her world starts with Jianyu and ends with Jianyu…..

"Jianyu…." She cried and kept on calling his name in between her sobs and every time he responded lovingly, "I'm here"

"Forever... till eternity… in every birth"

"Not even in death… I'll go before you. You are not allowed to leave me in this world alone"

He looked down at her crying face and raised his little finger, "Pinky promise." She chuckled at his childish behavior, sniffling, wiping her tears by rubbing her face on his coat. "Pinky promise" tucking her little finger on his, she made a promise for a lifetime.

Getting the promise, he peppered her with numerous kisses all over the face, shoulder, and neck lovingly. From today onwards he is going to cherish every moment with her. How can he not, for him she is everything and for her he is everything.

Unknowingly Xiu Mei slept in his arms. Afraid she will catch a cold, he brought her to his bedroom and placed her down on to the bed. When he tried to let go of her, she stirred in her sleep, making him to lie down beside her.

Feng Jianyu looked at her lavish gown and frowned, thinking how uncomfortable it must be for her to sleep in something this heavy. He wanted to wake her up but looking at her tired face, dropped the idea.

After a short nap of two hours, she woke up feeling uncomfortable and hot in the gown. He looked at her surroundings and her eyes widened in shock. Fishes… Koi fishes… There were thousands of Koi fishes floating over her head.
