Using the satellite communicating device as an intermediary link, she connects it to her watch so that she can access the saved contacts on her watch.

"Jianyu…. Come in… Jianyu…. h.e.l.lo… Jianyu….." No one answered from the other end.

The excitement in her eyes dimmed, her lips pressed into a thin line. If Feng Jianyu was not answering his watch this could lead to two possibilities. Either there's something wrong with the watch or or or… he is dead.

A strange sense of fear started coming up again as she prayed to G.o.d to keep him safe.

'No… Mei, see what's the location of the watch'

She frowned when she even failed to get the location details. It concludes Jianyu's watch is completely damaged, it's GPS and health tracker has failed and it cannot be used to establish a connection with him.

 'So this is the reason why Jianyu didn't come looking for me. Probably he doesn't know where I am. The only satellite device with us was our watches and coincidently they both are damaged. Dammit!' She sighed helplessly rubbing her forehead.

"Junjie"

Excitement rose over Xiu Mei and she hurriedly connected to Feng Junjie.

[Junjie… Come in… Junjie…. This is Mei… Come in…]

[Please…. Junjie… Answer me… Mei calling…]

[Junjie… it's your Sister Mei Mei…. Jianyu… please come]

Just when she was about to put the device down someone answered back….

 [Sis…ter Mei… Mei!!]

[Junjie….] She walked near the window and took the risk to open it to get a clear connection from the satellite. By doing this the room is no more soundproof, if Zeus dares to shout at the top of his lungs it's possible someone will hear him through the window. But she anyway took the risk.

[Junjie… Can you hear me?]

[Yes…. Sister where are you?]

[Junjie… find Jianyu…. He is missing…. He might be wounded… help him first]

[Bro is fine.…. He is trying to track down your location since last four days]

A smile of broke on her face, but she wanted to confirm it with her own eyes. Without seeing him, her heart won't be at rest.

[Track this satellite device…. I'm going to head towards North…. Probably a large fleet of Military vehicle will follow me…. Hurry up]

Xiu Mei let out a sigh of relief after talking to Junjie. The time on her mobile showed 5 minutes remaining, but with so many military people it's going to be difficult to cross the camp.

She walked over to take laptop but was caught off guard by Zeus who pulled her ankle to drop her on the floor. Before she could react a Swiss knife was stabbed and twisted on her left thigh, forcing a groan from her throat.

 Although she had tied him securely, being a military man he knows the trick to open the complicated knots. "Witch! I'm taking you along with me to h.e.l.l"

He picked a gla.s.s piece from the floor and tried to stab her again, but Xiu Mei's gave a hard kick on his neck with her right leg.

*CRACK*

Before he knew it, he was lying dead on the floor with a broken neck, his eyes still wide open from the shock.

She pulled her ankle from his grip and propped her body up. The knife was twisted deep into her thigh, and she has to pull it out before leaving. Otherwise, she won't be able to walk.

Xiu Mei clenched her teeth tightly, sweat started pouring out of her every pore as she pulled the knife out. She let out a m.u.f.fled groan after biting the back of her hand to silently suffer through the pain. She stopped the bleeding using a robotic clamp and ripped her s.h.i.+rt to make a tourniquet to tie it around her thigh.

Before she could pull herself up, her head snapped towards the door at the sound of the door unlocking. Instantly she gripped the swiss knife tightly in between her fingers, ready to attack the adjutants. The pain was unbearable but she was not willing to give up without fighting. She has to pa.s.s through this for Jianyu.

Just as she was about to throw the knife, Roxie and Gemie rushed in followed by Ghost.

All he could see was the mess in the room with gla.s.s pieces shattered and blood puddle on the floor. He focused on the woman sitting on the floor with a wounded leg and ran towards her to check her leg. "When Roxie and Gemie started behaving weird I understood there's something wrong," said Ghost, as he helped her to get up from the floor.

"We are running out of time, let's leave this place. Someone's coming for our help" She pointed towards a bag, "I saw his car's keys inside the bag"

She knew they have better chances to flee this place by using Zeus' personal vehicle as guards seldom stop the car of their seniors for checking. Moreover, Zeus car is a military-grade vehicle installed with all safety and fighting modules.

Within a few minutes, they arrived at the parking where Zeus' car was parked. She was about to take over driving when Ghost pushed her to the pa.s.senger's seat, buckled her up securely and went to drive. She gave him a puzzled gaze.

"Don't worry! This cripple will take you out from here safely" He gave her an a.s.sured look before igniting the engine. He skilfully adjusted the 'crutch' on the accelerator, controlling it with his hand while his other leg handling the clutch.

To Xiu Mei's surprise, he drove the car out of parking smoothly as if he had done this before.

As expected, when they reached the main gate, the guards gave a military salute on seeing that it's Commander Zeus' personal car and gave them easy access to drive out without checking.

Because of the darkness and tinted windows they failed to see who was actually sitting inside the vehicle.

The gate was opened only halfway through when the emergency hooter wailed, signaling all exit points to be sealed….. There's an intrusion in the camp.
