Feeling exhausted, Xiu Mei sat back down in the car, panting heavily. Due to much jumping and hopping, the wound on her leg started to bleed again.

The cars behind them wouldn't stop chasing and their car was already riddled with holes everywhere. Sooner or later this car will be of no use for them. If this was not Commander Zeus' high-grade military vehicle and ordinary Suv, it would have blown up a long ago.

The impact was so strong that it skidded for a few meters and slammed into a tree. Xiu Mei looked at the gun in disappointment. Although a powerful gun, it cannot fight against rocket launchers.

"Dang it! Get down. We'll run towards the forest" Ghost pulled out another gun hidden on his waist belt and kicked open the door of his side. "Get down from this side"

Xiu Mei didn't give him any reply but thought of an idea to attract Jianyu's attention if he is nearby and simultaneously avoid her enemies for some time.

If her hope of survival was near to zero than she will play a last gamble to survive.

Hastily she took off the collar around Roxie and Gemie's neck and tied all the clothes together. "C'mon everyone! Get off the car"

Before getting off she opened the oil tank. They rushed down and hide behind the non-visible side of the car that opens towards the jungle.

She stuffed the thin part of the cloth in the oil tank and stretched the remaining towards the jungle. She saw her enemies have stopped a few meters away from the car and have got down. Cautiously they are coming in their direction with machine guns in hand. She faked a random shot towards them to scare them away until her set up is complete.

"Uncle Ghost, Give me the lighter" She spread her palm.

"…."'How did she know I smoke?'

"Lighter! Give it to me. I saw you smoking"

After getting the lighter she looked at him with a soft gaze, "Uncle Ghost, you have to go now. You don't have anything to do with this, they are after me as I killed Zeus. This path leads to the heavy forest. With the help of Roxie and Gemie's sharp sense you'll easily escape this"

He shook his head and answered firmly, "I'll rather die than leave you alone in this situation"

"Don't be stupid! Be rational. I'll cover your back" saying she looked at the military and fired two shots to keep them away.

They stopped firing and waited for the enemies to come closer to the car befor setting the cloth on fire.

With a huge blast, the car was blown into the air, soldiers standing in the close proximity of car were thrown into the air due to heavy impact.

Some crashed into the trees and some fall down to the ground. In that blast, Xiu Mei managed to kill many soldiers and countless were injured.

To save themselves from the blast, Xiu Mei and team lay down on the ground over stomach. To protect Roxie and Gemie she pulled them close to her body, under her arms.

Xiu Mei tried to lift her head to check the situation at the enemy side but felt something heavy hugging her. She let go of Roxie and Gemie. Her brows furrowed upon realizing that Ghost had protected her who was laying above her with his arms wrapped around her protectively.

She gently rolled him off of her body and went over to check his pulse.

'Thank G.o.d! He is alive'

She sensed something wet on her stomach and realized that not only the wound on her leg was bleeding but the one on her waist was dripping blood from the dressing. Her head started to spin and dark clouds covered her vision as the adrenaline rush was dying down because of excessive blood loss.

She gritted her teeth and tried to get up, but can't find enough energy to even lift her arm. She looked at the Gun in her hand. Mark XIX .50 cal gun has 7 bullets in one magazine, as per her counting she had fired six rounds from this magazine, which means one last bullet is left.

Instead of being captured by these ugly men and go through numerous tortures again, it's better to kill yourself. Yes… Yes, she wanted to live, she wanted to live her life with Jianyu… But she knows what these men will do to her if they captured her alive.
