Feng Jianyu walked up to the bar counter and poured himself a gla.s.s of old wine. Sitting on the counter he slowly savoured the taste of fine wine. w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ was shocked; Jianyu doesn't have the habit of drinking alcohol. He rarely drinks a gla.s.s with him on special occasion or if he insists for a company.

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ didn't utter a single word and occupied the other seat at the bar counter. He knows what Feng Jianyu needed right now was a company, so he is getting one.

After taking few sips he tossed the gla.s.s aside and walked up to his swivel chair. No matter how much he tried, innocent Alice's face keep on flas.h.i.+ng in front of his eyes. Her screams echoed in his ear, her continuous pleading haunts him and her blood soaked clothes scares him to the core.

He picked his phone, unocked it and dialed a number that was not saved in the contact list but imprinted in Jianyu's memory. A man picked the phone after the first ring. "I guess it's time for me to return back?"

"Yes!" Feng Jianyu's cold voice made the man on the other line feel surprised.

"Here I thought her company would change you for good. But you are same stone cold"

"I'll always be stone cold for everyone except her. I'm giving you 48 hours to return back. If you failed then after 48 hours 1 second, Feng Junjie will become the new CEO of Feng Corporation"

"Hold on!" Feng Dingxiong instantly let go of the pruning tool, took off his gardening gloves and went to his study. He shut the door behind him and locked it from inside. "What happened, son? Does she still hate you? I thought you both are mature enough to solve this matter but it seems I have to talk to her"

After a long pause, Feng Jianyu replied, "She is my wife now"

There was another long pause on Feng Dingxiong's side.

"That was fast. Is there good news? Can I expect a grandchild this year?"

"No!" Feng Jianyu replied stoically, "No grandchild until Yang family is taken care of. They are back in action I guess"

On the other line Feng Dingxiong's voice change. His cheerful att.i.tude flew out of the window, "What did they do? Isn't Yang Rucheng dead? Now who among them dare to look at Feng's?"

"Why don't you come back first and than we'll discuss this. No one knows better about Yang's other than you. This time I want to finish them once and for all" Feng Jianyu's words caused chaos in Feng Dingxiong's heart. Handling Yang's is not an easy task, and here his son wants to finish them in one swoop.

"Jianyu I'm coming. But don't do anything until I'm there"

"Hm! That's why I'm giving you 48 hours. You better be here" He paused for some time, "There's another person I want to know about. But let's talk about him after you return back"

Feng Jianyu has just put down the phone when he noticed w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ sitting across him propping his chin over the palm. His lips pressed into a thin line on seeing w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s accusing look.

"What?" 

"What? Really? Do I need to vocalize my thoughts? Don't tell me you didn't understand my face" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ snapped in anger and Jianyu narrowed his eyes at him.

"Yes, Mei and I are married. So what? I don't need someone's permission to marry the woman I love"

"Jianyu, getting married is not a problem but hiding it is. I thought we were friends before brothers. Yet you didn't tell me anything about it" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ retorted. He didn't know why he was feeling angry for not being told about Jianyu and Mei's marriage but he was hurt.

"If we are friends before brothers then why you never told me about the girl's photograph you kept hidden inside your wallet? Who is she?" Feng Jianyu asked raising an eyebrow at him. w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ was shocked hearing this but soon composed himself "I never hide anything about Alice and my personal life. This is the first time I kept something from you, and it's not because I don't want to tell you about it. In fact, Mei and I wanted to reveal this the very next day but a series of unfortunate events prevented us from doing so. This is such big news and Mei wants to reveal it in a special way. That's why we kept this news to ourselves"

Silence….

Both brothers closed their eyes and rested there head at the back of the chair.

"I'm sorry! I should have not reacted like this" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ breaks the silence and Feng Jianyu opened his eyes and apologized sincerely, "I'm sorry too! I should have not lashed out at you. Being my elder brother it's your right to know about my marriage."

"It's not your fault Jianyu. We both are angry because of that video" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ walked up to Feng Jianyu and patted his shoulder, "Mei is close to both of us. We both can't see her go through any pain. If you know her for seven years then I also know her for seven years through your countless stories about her. Trust me she is scarier now if compared to old version"

Feng Jianyu chuckled at w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s comment and patted his hand that was still on his shoulder. "I promised her I'm not going to discuss anything about the video. When the right time comes I'll discuss about it but never show her. It's better to keep her away from reliving this moment"

"Hm! I agree with you on this point. But what do you think about her family? It seems Uncle Dingxiong knows about her father. I wonder who that family was that holds the power to save Feng Corporation. Must be extraordinary ah!" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ mused from the side and looked as Feng Jianyu picked up his coat to go out.

"My wife is no ordinary woman, how can her family be? She will be super excited to know about them. I'll tell her after discussing it with dad. Till then let's watch my wife's show that she has planned for her enemies" He wore his coat and said. "As far as Yang's are concerned I won't allow them to come even hundred-meter radius of my wife. This time the wall named Feng Jianyu is protecting her"

Feng Jianyu stepped outside the office and found n.o.body there. He expected his baby brothers to be waiting for him but they are nowhere in sight. Not so surprisingly this is the reason why no one barged inside till now.

In the restaurant of the hotel

"Sister Mei Mei, eat this steak. It's medium roasted just how you like. I ordered the chef to prepare everything as per your choice. There are lots of pastries also, all in different fruit flavors and your favorite tangerine flavor is there too. See I'm so thoughtful"

"I know steak goes best with wine but my brother will kill me if I gave you wine. However try this mocktail, it's made of cranberry and grape juice. I'm sure you'll like it"

"Let me peel this shrimp for you. Don't tire yourself out by doing this petty task. I'm there for you"

"Try this chicken in truffle cream sauce. This truffle is specially imported from France to make this dish"
