Feng Jianyu hugged her through the blanket, "No it won't. This time I'll hug you tightly in my arms and kick the pain's a.s.s if it dares to bother my baby. I know it looks scary but my chipmunk is the bravest of all. Come, let's do it together"

"Then…. Um… You can cancel the project that you have signed with w.a.n.g s.h.i.+. Okay? I'll make sure that it would be w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ who pays the compensation and not you" Xiu Mei chuckled thinking about poor w.a.n.g s.h.i.+.

With Feng Jianyu's coaxing voice, her body relaxed a little but she didn't move. Feng Jianyu didn't push her either, he waited patiently, sitting at the edge of the bed and continuously caressed her. "Hey, I'm brave. Don't spout nonsense, otherwise, I'll make you sleep on the couch for the whole month" She retorted with her eyes closed.

"That's a great place to sleep. Just imagine you and me sleeping in that limited s.p.a.ce. So intimate! I'm excited, baby. Let's do it tonight" Feng Jianyu chuckled and Xiu Mei hit him on the chest. Her delicate punches did nothing to the man but only earned a peal of hearty laughter.

"Ouchh… ouchhh… Why are you hitting me? It's your idea to sleep on the couch. I promise it would be you who sleeps over me and not the other way around" Xiu Mei opened her eyes to glare at him, "Monster! Isn't it obvious that it will be you under me? Considering how big you are I'll die of suffocation if you dare to sleep above me"

Feng Jianyu's eyes darkened at her statement. Does she even know the meaning behind it? If it was not for the important task they were doing , he would have kissed her wildly. How can she be so cute and feisty at the same time?

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ rolled his eyes at this lovey-dovey couple and their force-feeding of dog food. Oh yes! How can he forget about their double meaning talks? Shameless couple.

"Look it's done" Feng Jianyu looked back into her glaring eyes and pointed his chin, "I told you. It won't hurt. Right?"

"huh?" Xiu Mei looked down and saw w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ wiping the injured site to clean off any residue. "Yaa! It didn't hurt even an ounce. Thank you, Dr. w.a.n.g, you are the best"

Feng Jianyu said looking at the girl who was still cradled in his arms and she instantly gave a sounding kiss on the cheek and hugged him, giving him a mini shock. "You are best-est. Love you to the moon and back my cute monster" He pleasantly welcomed her in his arms and caressed her back while discreetly mouthed 'Thank you' to w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ who nodded in response.

While hugging him, Xiu Mei's eyes watered up. 'I wish you were with me seven years back too. My pain gets halved just by your presence and it flews away by your touch. Thank you for being there for me, for understanding me, for spoiling me, for everything you does for me without expecting anything in return'

Everyone says that love hurts but that's not true. How can something as beautiful as love hurt someone? Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Anything can hurt but love. Everyone confuse these things with love, but in reality, LOVE is the only thing in this world that covers up for all the pain. It makes you feel alive once again. It makes you love yourself. "Oh come on both of you! I'm starving. Please come for breakfast" Xiu Mei instantly let go of him when she heard Feng Junjie's voice who was standing at the door whining for food. w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ stood up and walked to the door but was caught off guard when Junjie hugged him abruptly.

"I feel for you senior cousin. We are sailing in the same boat after all. These two are feeding us with dog food without thinking about our poor hearts. I seriously think we should help each other"

"What? Get lost you horrible creature" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ pushed Junjie off of him and straighten his expensive suit.
