Kong Da took a step ahead, his gaze was menacing as he placed his walking stick on her foot deliberately. She dares to hurt his ego, now he will make her suffer.

Xiu Mei said with water in her eyes.

"Barely brushed? You call this barely brushed huh!?" The young man who pa.s.sed Xiu Mei water earlier pointed at the blood on Lu Xion's hand and then at Kong Da's walking stick.

It was a special walking stick with a sterling silver lion as head and a pointed end just like a pencil heel. Just by looking at the pointed end anyone could tell how often its sterling silver cap is replaced to keep it sharp.

"Let's take you to the room," Lu Xion said as he picked her up in his arms in front of everyone, clearly announcing her importance in PE and R-Tech. Before leaving he turned to look at the foreign minister who was looking pale by now, "PE and R-Tech will rethink about investing in your country"

His announcement was like a splash of cold water on the face of the finance minister. Kong Da panicked, "Mr. Lu Xion….."

Before he could say anything, Lu Xion was out of sight, leaving him alone to handle the mess created by him.

In the living room, Xiu Mei was cradled in Feng Jianyu's arms on the couch with a thick white bandage on her foot while the rest are seated surrounding her with a serious expression.

They both occupied a full five-seater couch as according to Feng Jianyu she should not put her foot on floor.

"Pfft… I wonder if anyone has clicked Kong Da's picture. His reaction was priceless; I'm going to save it on my computer and make memes. It was so fu….. fu… nny…funny…." Her words stuttered when everybody gave her a stern look including Feng Jianyu.

It was awkward; no one was saying anything but staring at her as if a new animal has arrived in the zoo. "Can I have my phone? I want to call Xin and Feng to discuss tomorrow's presentation"

No answer….

Xiu Mei "…."

"I'm thirsty"

A gla.s.s was brought near her mouth by the man to let her drink.

"My laptop is in my room, I'll finish the pending work. Bye guys" She tried to get up but failed to move even an inch. Feng Jianyu's grip on her was so firm that she was literally squeezed in his arms.

"Oh! C'mon, guys! You are behaving as if something big happened. It's just a small bruise… Alright, not a small bruise but a big one. But I'm fine" She rolled her eyes after having enough of this staring game. "Trust me! It was not planned. I-I was not prepared when Kong Da hurt me, but when he did, I took it as an opportunity and exaggerated it in front of everyone to let it backfire him. And we succeeded ah! Now just wait and watch. Xion already stated that PE would reconsider the investment decision, so as R-Tech. Huo Feng would make an official announcement by tonight.
