"No one's angry, love" Hearing someone's voice Xiu Mei's expression relaxed, "But we are disappointed at ourself that Kong Da dared to hurt you even in our presence" Jianyu spoke.

"Exactly! What's the use of having so many bodyguards around if we cannot avoid something like this" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ let out his resentment.

"Sister Mei Mei, people like Kong Da does not take rejection well. Above that you mocked him for Infinity Software" Feng Junjie spoke and paused for a minute to recall something, "But I don't understand one thing. Why did no one talk about Kong's BDSM video? It was as if that incident never happened"

"That's because that video is still not aired" Feng Jin answered.

"What?"

"Yes. Don't forget, it was the night when all that happened and Kong's cyber team is monitoring everything due to upcoming elections. It would have been waste of efforts to upload it at that time" Feng Jin explained looking at Feng Jianyu who nodded in affirmation.

"So… Are we going to upload it or not?"

"Of course we will! Sister is already working to tackle the cyber team so that they cannot take down that video for at least few hours" Feng Junjie felt p.i.s.sed off being oblivious of the important development and gave an unpleasant look to Feng Jin. "Fine, I got it! Now shut up!"

Xiu Mei let out an exhausted breath and tugged Jianyu's s.h.i.+rt, "I think instead of discussing a useless topic or giving importance to the incident we should take advantage of the situation and maybe…. Add oil to the fire. This would benefit us and Qingzhou both when we'll disclose everything"

"What do you mean by add oil to the fire?" Jianyu asked while pulling her to a comfortable position.

"It's simple! I'm asking CEO Feng Jianyu to pull some strings to pressurize Kong Da" She answered while making herself comfortable in his arms "I'm allowed to take help from one of the most influential men in the corporate world. Right?"

He chuckled, "Right. It will be done"

"Excuse me, mam!" A servant came…

Just when they were discussing the next plan, three servents came holding a large bouquet of 1000 coral roses along with a box of hand made chocolates with edible gold dust sprinkled and a large basket of fruits and health tonics.

"Looks like someone is trying to bribe you," w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ said looking at flowers as they symbolize joy, friends.h.i.+p, and new beginnings.

"Just give me the card and throw away rest of the things" She ordered the servants.

Reading the short note on the card she instantly called back the servents, "Hold on! Don't throw anything. Arrange the flowers in a vase, chocolates in the fridge, fruits on the dining table and tonics in my room"

"Who send this?" Feng Jianyu frowned and she instantly pa.s.sed him the card, "Take a look"

Feng Jianyu "…."

She tried to get up but Jianyu stopped her. "Please…. I promised Mr. Qiao to have dinner with him. Can't break it!"

"Later. Not today"

"I'm fine! Let me finish with this. I don't like pending work hanging above my head, reminding their presence every time"

"Mr. Qiao is aware that you got hurt today that's why he send all this. Does he mention anything about dinner in the note?"

"Although he didn't mention about dinner, how can you not understand his intention behind this thoughtful gesture. Of course he is expecting me to keep my promise and revert him back" Xiu Mei said, she glanced at w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ whose mood turned sour suddenly. "Mr. Qiao is a nice man. Let me go and tell clearly that I've signed this deal with someone else"

Upon seeing the inadvertent smile on w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s face she felt content and winked when there gaze collided.

"Dine in this hotel"

"No!" She instantly reb.u.t.ted, "I self-invited myself at this dinner. It would only be fair if I go to his hotel personally instead of inviting him here" She placed her finger on his lips, "Before you oppose, I'm ready to take any number of security guards but they will stay away from me. Okay?"

No reply…. Staring…..

"Please!"

Staring continued….

Lu Xion who was sitting silently all this while, watching as they discuss everything,  got up to leave but Xiu Mei stopped him, "X, I want to talk to you"

He stopped on his track but didn't turn to look at her. Xiu Mei saw him all quite, "Jianyu, I want to talk to him" She made a deliberate pause, "Alone" Just when she said that she bite her bottom lips and Jianyu pulled them out, he rubbed his thumb over them. "Sure, you can!"

Everyone left them alone including Feng Jianyu who went to call Rong Xiang to make arrangements before she leaves for Mr. Qiao's hotel that was barely at a distance of 5 km.

"I know what you are thinking"

"Really? What am I thinking?" Lu Xion raised his brows as he turned to look at her, his voice laced with anger.

"You are going to get Kong's"

"Glad to know you know me so well"

"X, you are not taking any action against them. They are my prey, not yours"

"Are you implying I have nothing to do with you?"

"Of-Course not! But let me handle it my way"

"Your way? Miss. Xiu Mei, I know I teach you to be independent, but sometimes it's perfectly okay to take help. Right now you asked for Feng Jianyu's help then why can't I help you?"

"Xion you are diverting the topic. It's about you and Jianyu"

"Then let's talk about the topic" He snorts and sits down on the same couch where Xiu Mei was seated, "I never asked you anything about that night because I know you don't want to discuss it. I'm even oblivious of the exact story between you, Feng Jianyu and Kong Da, but never asked  and supported you anyways. Now when I'm going after that b.a.s.t.a.r.d, you are stopping me. May I PLEASE know why? Why you are not taking direct action and neither allowing me to do the same? Why dammit why?"

As he banged his fist on the couch feeling irritated, she winced but didn't let it come on her face. After a silence of a few minutes, Xion heard her, "Seven years back, Jianyu and I met on a café...…"

She narrated the entire story, her misunderstanding about Jianyu, Infinity Software mystery, how they met again...… She skipped telling about that night and somethings about her and Jianyu that was irrelevant to the story.

"I want everything back that's rightfully mine. I want to expose all the dirty deeds of Kong Da. I want to know about that man, who tortured me, blinded me, and later threw me to die. I want to know who send those men to rape me when Jianyu's father came to my rescue" As she said it, the gentleness in her voice was nowhere to be seen. "Xion, Killing them is very easy, but making them pay for everything is equally difficult... Ahhh!!" She yelped when Xion abruptly lifted her ankle to place a cus.h.i.+on beneath it.

"Keep it elevated. It will hurt less like this" He gave her a gentle smile before ruffling her hair and sat down on the tiny s.p.a.ce near her. "Just one question. Is there any regret after talking to me??"
