"Proof"

Just one word resounded from Xiu Mei's lips and Kong Liu spoke confidently, "No need for any proof. It's my software. I invented it. Why should I provide proof for something that's already mine? You are deliberately trying to take the credit to strengthen R-Tech's position in the market"

Xiu Mei stared at Kong Liu unwaveringly, making her feel conscious.

 "Miss. Kong, everything should be backed by evidence. Right? Are you going back on your own words? The entire corporate world and media witnessed that Infinity Software is R-Tech's. Now it's your turn to prove me wrong" Xiu Mei said.

"Feng Corporation had already disclosed the ident.i.ty of the inventor, and that's me. Don't forget that I invented the product seven years back whereas you got the copyright certificate two years later. Isn't it obvious who is the real developer?" Kong Liu failed to understand from where XM was getting her confidence to lie so blatantly. How can someone be as shameful as her?

Kong Da alternated his gaze between the doc.u.ments and the woman standing on the stage. His eyes flickered. Technically both Kong Liu and Xiu Mei are lying as the real developer was Alice. However, whatever happened with Alice and how did the software ended up with them was one of the darkest secrets known only to them.

Why is R-Tech so determined to get Infinity Software? Why are they targeting it when as per their capability they can easily create many more softwares? What's the need to go after a dead product and put so many efforts in it?

Xiu Mei turned to the reporters and stared straight into the camera, "I've already wasted enough time on Miss. Kong. I'm giving her five minutes to either prove that Infinity Software was hers or be ready to face the legal consequences. My lawyer Huo Feng is ready with the doc.u.ments and court's stay order to recover the revenue earned from the software"

Saying she pointed at Huo Feng who instantly got up and bowed twice, once at the delegates and then at the media reporters to announce his presence.    

"You…" Kong Da squinted at XM, wondering what new scheme she has planned against Kong's. "Miss. XM…."

 "Don't worry, Huo Feng won't take any action if you're able to prove me wrong" At this moment, Xiu Mei rested her elbow on the podium and leaned slightly. Her back was feeling tired and standing with an injured foot for so long was putting her in pain.

Others may not have noticed it but Feng Jianyu's eyes were constantly on Xiu Mei. Seeing Xiu Mei subconsciously rubbing her back his heart ached for her. She has been standing for too long, first during her presentation and now all this.

"MOVE" Hearing the icy cold voice, Kong Liu jumped in fear and turned to look back. She was so shocked by the presence of Feng Jianyu that she quickly took a few steps back to get out of the way.

Following Kong Liu's steps, Kong Da and Kong Wei gradually cleared the way to let Feng Jianyu go. Every eye in the hall followed Feng Jianyu equally, trying to understand what the man was up to.

Xiu Mei was a little anxious upon seeing Jianyu stepping up on the stage. She understood that he saw through her pain thereby couldn't stop himself. Can she ever hide anything from the eyes of this man?

"Jianyu no…. everyone's watching…. Jianyu… I'm fine…" She spoke in a kitten-like voice without moving her lips to avoid suspicion. However, he ignored her, ignored the people present and didn't give d.a.m.n about what they were thinking.

 If anyone dares to question him, he knows how to shut them.

She is his wife... No need to explain the reason behind his actions.

He directly made way to the podium and holds her by the shoulder, his brows furrowed seeking the blood on the bandage. As if it's natural for him, his right hand gone for her waist to support her body weight.

Xiu Mei was uncomfortable to be this close to the man in front of so many judgemental eyes, but the man refused to pay attention to anything.

"CHAIR… NOW…"

Backstage staff fumbled to get a comfortable chair within five seconds along with a cus.h.i.+on for back support.

As the cameraman continued showing XM on the LED screens installed around the venue, everyone could clearly see the red blood seeping through her bandage…. She was enduring this pain all this while.

"Drink" Pa.s.sing her the bottle of energy drink, Feng Jianu looked at Kong Da sharply before taking over the podium on XM's behalf.

"Without any doubt, Infinity Software is R-Tech's product stolen from them using unscrupulous means before selling it to Mr. Feng Dingxiong seven years back. If it was developed by your daughter why she failed to decode it? Why had she failed to provide even the basic updates? What was the reason for her absence when my IT team contacted her? Why she never made an appearance in the Feng Corporation office whenever contacted? Why had she failed to explain the meaning of some of the codes and the reason behind creating them? Answer one question and you are off the hook" His strong powerful voice thundered.

After speaking he waited patiently for one minute. He sneered looking at Kong Da, "What happen? Tongue tied?"

Xiu Mei looked at her husband as he painfully critize Kongs below the stage. She gestured Bai Xin to get the laptops ASAP.

Feng Jianyu checked the time on his wrist.w.a.tch, "Mr. Huo, give the legal doc.u.ments to Kong Da. There five minutes are over" Next he looked at Rong Xiang who nodded and simultaneously pa.s.sed another file to Kong Da. "Along with R-Tech, Feng Corporation is taking legal action seeking another round of compensation for misleading the facts, cheating, and monetary loss"

Kong Da was speechless. He was given the chance to answer, but in front of this man can anyone dare to speak. At present, he was more ruthless and dangerous.

"B-Brother J-Jianyu…."

"SHUT UP!"

Upon seeing Feng Jianyu show his consideration for the masked woman, jealousy seeped through her system as she unconvincingly muttered the courage to call him affectionately.

She was frightened to death hearing him yell, her face turned white like a sheet of paper.

Kong Liu moved to the side along with Kong Wei.
