The blond man snickered coldly, "This means we are back to square one. The ident.i.ty of this mysterious woman could be anything. Who knows if she's planted by Feng Dingxiong against us or maybe his son Feng Jianyu has discovered something."

He narrowed his eyes at the two photographs kept on the table, One of Young Alice and the other of the mysterious masked woman XM. 

"She could be anyone but not the girl killed seven years back. No one can survive Shao's brutal torture… Tsk… tsk… she was just a tiny girl" He pulled the chair to sit across the oak wood table and took out the dagger tucked at his waist.

A wicked glint flashed across his eyes, remembering how mercilessly the young girl was killed. It's always satisfying to toy your victim before killing, hearing them scream in pain, begging for life….. It's thrilling, adrenalin rushed through your system giving you high. "This woman whoever she is, I'll slowly chop her into pieces" a sound gurgled through his mouth.

The other man in the room who appeared to be around 38-40, his expression suddenly turned more dreadful. The curve of his lips turned upwards in a sinister smirk, his dangerous rich mahogany eyes s.h.i.+fted at the blond man who was now playing with the dagger, eyeing the photographs.

 'Thud'

The falling sound of the chair in the background echoed.                                 

The man got up like a gush of wind and s.n.a.t.c.hed the dagger. Before the blonde man could react his hand was yanked on to the table, palm down.

The blonde man froze in fear, he jumped but kept his mouth sealed. Suddenly something pierced through his flesh in a swift motion, hitting the wooden table beneath going halfway through the dagger.

Everything happened in a split second and the blonde man reacted only when the pain seared through his body, slow, sparking all the way from hand to brain, making him feel dizzy, shocking his five senses.

"ARGHHHHH" A piercing scream echoed in the air, but the scream was nothing if compared to the victims he had tortured before killing. He gasped for air and clutched his wrist in the hopes of alleviating the pain.

"B-BROTHER…. NOOO STOPP…. ARGHHHH!"

The knife was forcefully pulled off and slammed once again at a different angle, making it look like a plus sign at the back of the hand.

"Yang Zian, you better not have any thought about that woman. If she really is Mo family's daughter, she's worth more than anything in this world" The man snarled, blue light reflecting from the computer screen makes him look like an asura crawled up from the depths of h.e.l.l as he pressed the dagger deeper.

The door suddenly opened and a woman walked in, her walk graceful and proud. She glanced at the bloodied mess on the table, her upper lip curled in disdain but she controlled her expressions and strolled to the table, the strong iron smell made her feel nauseous.

Yang Zian's blurred vision cleared, between his haggard breathing he looked up at the woman before glancing at his elder brother whose hands are still fisted at the dagger.

"Let him go! Don't forget he is your younger brother" She touched the man's shoulder, c.o.c.ked her head a little so that only he could see her face and communicated with eyes. "Yang Sheng…."

The woman reminded again when he didn't remove his hand from the dagger.

"Yang Sheng let go off the dagger before he leisurely strolled to the nearby couch. In an instant, three servants came inside with a wide bowl to wipe clean their master's bloodied hand, without giving any heed to the injured man who was still stuck with the dagger.

"Argh!" Yang Zian winced in pain when he had pulled out the dagger himself, splas.h.i.+ng some bloodstains on the expensive silk gown of the woman, her face scrunched in disgust as she reflexively stepped back.

However before Yang Zian could see her reaction she pulled a worried expression and pa.s.sed the tissue box to the man, "Oh G.o.d, Zian! You're bleeding profusely. Hurry up, let the doctor bandage it before something severe happens"

She gestured the servants to help Yang Zian and bring him to the doctor.

"Your big brother is hot-headed, rest a.s.sured I'll give him a good lesson," She said to Yang Zian's departing figure before turning to look at Yang Sheng, "This is too much, how can you be so cruel to your younger brother? I'm sure whatever he said was not his real intentions, had he ever went against your orders?"

Yang Sheng cast an uninterested glance at the woman as she settled down on the couch across him, wiping her gown with wet tissue.….

"Well, on the other hand, I think Yang Zing's thought was right. Instead of doing all this, why not kill her? Whether she really is Alice or not, both ways she's our enemy, after all, Kong's are destroyed by her, too" The woman's mouth twitched as she talked about Alice. Seven years back, she and her son killed her mercilessly. How can she survive?

However, Yang's were not aware of Alice aka Xiu Mei's hand in the destruction of the secret base. They still believe that it was the combined forces of two countries and Qinzhou who did everything.

"No one's touching her. That's my order" Yang Sheng's voice dropped a few degrees, he said with additional pressure in it.

"Why are you so adamant to keep her safe?" She sounded a little antsy, "Don't tell me you've started liking her"

"What do you think I've directed her at Feng Dingxiong?" Yang Sheng did not answer but posed his own question with severity in his eyes, "Let's see if she's able to solve the puzzle around that old cunning fox. If she could, I'm sure she is more useful to me if alive then being dead. She will help me…"

He deliberately trailed his thought; his eyes shone in antic.i.p.ation, a chilling smirk came upon his face.

"You mean to say?!" The woman was taken aback by the answer; she had never imagined that Yang Sheng's plan for the woman was something else.

"Yes, I mean exactly that"
