Yang Sheng left Yang Mi to be tortured by his men and returned to his room with Yang Zian in a tow.

He lit up a cigarette and fiercely took a drag, blowing out a puff of smoke in circles. He squinted his eyes at the huge screen where an old picture of a sixteen-year-old Alice and a masked picture of President XM occupied the screen. He had been trying to collect information about President XM since she claimed to be Alice, but everything leads to a dead end.

His gaze turned icy…

"Brother, I think Aunty is right. I suspect she is Mo Zhichan's daughter Alice who is trying to avenge for her parents and whatever happened with her seven years back." Yang Zian said with a serious expression. He felt for certain there are a lot of things about this woman that makes her mysterious and dangerous.

Yang Sheng flicked away the ashes, his gaze darkened. "I don't have any trust in Yang Mi. To save her a.s.s she wouldn't even bat an eye before killing her own son let alone a stranger. And there's no substantial proof President XM did that, I've got it confirmed she is lying on the hospital bed in a comatose state."

The best way to spy on someone is to make use of the people working on lower ranks. The Janitor, maintenance workers, cleaners, doorman, and cooks have easy access to every department and because of their low-paying jobs, it's easy to lure them to get insider information.

Unknown to Yang Sheng all the workers working on the VIP floor where Fei Hong was pretending to be President XM belonged to Feng Jianyu and Lu Xion's trained team. They know what to say and what not, thereby providing wrong information to the staff working for Yang Sheng and letting them pa.s.s the wrong information.

"But what are we going to do next; Feng Dingxiong is out of your grasp. And he will definitely retaliate...SMAK….."

Before Yang Zian could finish his sentence Yang Zian threw his lighter on his nose. "Shut up, you dumba.s.s. Stop telling me what I already know." He yelled.

Yang Zian lowered his head, holding his bleeding nose with a hand. He raised his eyes and saw his brother placing another cigarette between his lips, lighting it up with a new lighter.

"Although XM is lying in the hospital, it does not mean I won't pay attention to Yang Mi's words. What if there's a chance that everything is planned by XM?" Yang Sheng got up from his seat, he looked at the large frame of Yang Zian, a look of condescension flashed in his eyes that didn't go unnoticed from Yang Zian's eyes.

He understood and said respectfully, "What's the order?"

Yang Sheng smirked but the smell of blood made him maintain a distance. "S cla.s.s mission…. Go to Imperial City and investigate about XM, especially that face of hers, get me a picture. If she is Alice, show the video of her father being tortured in our cell and bring her to Country Z. She'll be my trump card against Mo Zhichan and Mo family. But if she is not Alice, didn't you mention you wanted to torture her? Toy with her."

"Yes, brother."                                                 

"If you failed in this mission….." An evil glint flashed in Yang Sheng's eyes. "I've heard that your wife is pregnant with a third child…. Hm! Interesting! My scientists have never experimented on the unburned fetus."

Yang Zian felt gooseb.u.mps broke out on his body. He looked up, "I won't disappoint you, sir."

"Leave today." There was no love or warmth in Yang Sheng's eyes.

The moment he left, Yang Sheng's a.s.sistant Hu Chi stepped into his cabin. "Master…"

"Zian is going to Imperial City, ask Daiyu to make arrangements."

It surprised Hu Chi that Yang Sheng was sending Zian to find information about XM.  "Undoubtedly Zian is our best man, but we both know he has already stated his desire to leave this illegal world and live peacefully with his wife. What if he double-cross us, or never return?"

"His greatest weakness, his beloved family, is in my hands. He will surely return." Yang Sheng laughed coolly, "And if he dares to betray me, he knows very well what will become of his two puppies and the one is yet to come in this world."

There was no trace of humanity or hesitation in his words. For him, everyone was just a puppet in his hands. He would have treated his own brother like this least Yang Zian with whom he just shares the same blood and nothing more.

"Hey imp… Where are you going?"

Daiyu: "To the h.e.l.l, want to come?"

"Shortie, watch your steps, there's wall ahead…. Oops….. that wall is called stairs."

Daiyu: "So clever, aren't you?"

"Hey Daiyu, is your little brother down there can match up to my pinky finger? Nayah… I think my finger is longer. Hahahah….."

Daiyu: "You must be so proud of your brother down there. It must be reaching up to your knees. Right? Yet you're of no match because I'm the ultimate woman charmer."

"Watch it, Yang Zian's room ahead. He might mistake you as a hotdog and gobble you up."

"Daiyu: "Go find a new one, you said that last time too. I'm bored!"

"What will you call an ice-skating Daiyu…. A midget spinner."

Daiyu: "Of course it's a joke. But n.o.body laughed."

All the men who made fun of Daiyu's height were instantly slapped on the face by his wittiness. There is really no one who can match up to his sharp tongue and dangerous brain.

They gritted their teeth in annoyance and saw him disappearing into Yang Zian's room.

"Here's the pa.s.sport and papers." Daiyu saw Yang Zian instantly hiding a photo inside his bag as he continued packing. He opened the chain of the backpack and placed the papers inside it.

"Apart from these usual papers I've prepared another set of papers." Yang Zian looked up at Daiyu questionably as he continued, "New ident.i.ty. This is the best chance when you can run from this place. Go away. Start a new life."

"Thanks but no thanks!" Yang Zian's tone was harsh.

"You are with Yang Sheng because of your family. You are young, can start everything again…. A new family… I know I'm sounding rude but forget them. Ahh…" Yang Zian threw one of his t-s.h.i.+rts on Daiyu's face in annoyance to shut his mouth.

"They're my family not livestock that I'll let them be butchered heartlessly and move on." He started stuffing random stuff in a bag.

Daiyu sighed, "Though I treasure our friends.h.i.+p and would love to continue it forever, I can't see you getting hurt and humiliated daily."

"You're making it sound like a bromance." Yang Zian chuckled and picked his bag, "Keep a close watch on my family and don't let that dog (Yang Sheng) go anywhere near them. I'm counting on you."

Looking at Daiyu's puppy face Yang Zian knelt down on his knees and hugged him. "A day will come when Yang Sheng will turn into ashes and I'll be laughing hard at his misery." He heard Daiyu speak and Zian smiled dryly

"I'm afraid that day won't come any sooner."

Daiyu saw his departing figure…. To keep the things working smoothly and help the other from Yang Sheng's wrath they behaved like Daiyu is afraid of Yang Zian and the later does not like Daiyu. However, the reality is they're best friends, always available for the other.
