Xion was watching grandpa from the side holding his head in amus.e.m.e.nt, 'Who said grandpa is getting old? Just the name of Xiu Mei is more than enough to make him jump from the bed and do 100 push ups. Just look at him… no one can say till yesterday night he was crying in bed, unable to hold a gla.s.s of water and now all of a sudden he is 10 years younger, bullying everyone in the house.' He sighed.

This time while returning from his business trip he detoured with the intention of stopping at the island where his grandpa is staying. After staying with grandpa for a day at the island, when he was returning back, grandpa accompanied him adamantly with a wish to meet Xiu Mei. He is aware that he doesn't have much time left in this life, so one last time he wanted to see her to his heart's content.

It's his last wish to see her smiling face and hear the word that he is eagerly waiting to hear from her mouth, 'grandpa'. So despite of doctor's strict warning not to travel anymore, he tagged along with Xion forcefully.

Xion also didn't have the heart to stop his grandpa to come with him, he is aware of how much this old man craves for Xiu Mei's love and attention. Just an hour of her presence increases the will power of grandpa by 1000 times… Even the doctor gets shocked by his improving condition at that time.

But the minute grandpa arrived here, he has been continuously hara.s.sing Xion to call her at the Villa as soon as possible. Last night was the end of grandpa's patience.

When Xion returned home, he went into grandpa's room to meet him. Watching Xion the first thing grandpa did was to threw a tantrum like a 3- year- old kid, emotionally crying and blackmailing that he won't take his medicines anymore until he gets to see Xiu Mei.

Xion tried his best to persuade him to take his medicines, but the old man did not budge from his position. "NO NO NO…. I won't eat any medicines unless I get to see her… You are not putting any efforts to bring her here. Xion, this is my last warning… cough…. Cough… bring her to me once, please… this is this old man's wish… please bring her to me… cough…" he started coughing profusely after this.

Xion strode forward to rub his back, but he kept on requesting, "Xion, please…. Just once, I won't ask any more after it, just once… Bring her to me…. My precious… My little girl…My granddaughter… I want to see her before I leave this world…. I know I'm a terrible person, I have done lots of heinous crimes and I take responsibility for all my sins. G.o.d will give me my due punishment by throwing me into the h.e.l.l, but first, let me hear her calling me grandpa from her mouth. She is my cough…. Cough….. cough..." Xion tried to coax him by rubbing his hand on grandpas' chest.

He wiped the tears off of grandpas' eyes and picked the medicine from the bed table, forwarding it to him Xion promised, "Shhhhh…. Say no more Grandpa… if you'll take this medicine now, I promise I'll bring Xiu Mei here at any cost by tomorrow morning."

Grandpa looked at him with hopeful eyes, extending his palm asked, "P…Promise!" Xion clasped his left hand over grandpa's palm, "I promise! If she dares to decline me, I'll barge into her villa, tie her into ropes and abduct her to bring her to this house." He promised without blinking his eyes.

"Cough….You dare hurt her, Xion! Cough… I'll hunt you down to the ends of this earth. Don't forget my ident.i.ty…" Grandpa gave a serious warning to him. Xion chuckled while answering playfully, "I know grandpa… How can I forget your scary ident.i.ty… But first medicine then Xiu Mei…"

Grandpa took the medicine quietly without any further tantrums. While Xion made him sleep on the bed and whispered lightly, "I promise first thing I'll do in the morning is to invite her to eat breakfast here… sleep tight, Ok?" Grandpa nodded lightly before turning over to the other side to sleep comfortably.

Xion came out of the room lightly closing it behind him. Before going into his room he instructed servants to keep checking grandpa every 30 minutes, to make sure he is sleeping without any discomfort.

Someone has truly said, when you are near to death, the one thing your heart desires most is the company of your most beloved person. Your heart wishes to stop beating by holding the memory of that one person for whom you wants to live more, but unfortunately, life is slowly slipping from your hands. It doesn't matter how powerful of a person you were in your life, in front of death you are just a poor body ready to return to the soil.

Xion understood that this poor old man is not afraid of dying, but afraid that his body might betray him any moment leaving his soul unsatisfied if not given the chance to meet her one last time.

Left with no other choice, he gave into grandpa' demands and decided to call her the next morning for the breakfast, to let grandpa meet her.

The first thing he did in the morning is to call Xiu Mei and persuade her to come to his house for breakfast. Only he knows how h.e.l.l difficult off a task was that, he was almost ready to barge into her villa to kidnap her. But finally, he succeeded to convince her to come here .

He shook his head thinking of what all happened since last night and how just a simple news of Xiu Mei's arrival has pumped a liter of chicken blood into grandpas' veins. At this moment if she would ask grandpa to run a marathon with her, he would happily do that.
