While I managed to s.h.i.+eld myself from the first bout of the attacks that those people managed to launch, I'm in no position to be proud. Just by following my instincts I placed myself in a rather troublesome situation.

But there is no way that I will just stay on the ground and wait for their attacks to wear down the body that I'm using to hide! Recalling the situation back at Eve's courtyard, I'm about to drive my cultivation to the maximum to throw them away and create a window to change my position when I recall what would happen if I do so!

Since my cultivation is shared with Eve and she is currently taking care of the Pengu, attacking them in this way would cause harm to my cute little friend as well! I guess that's one of the downsides of dual spirit!

With my cultivation sealed by my own decision, I need to do something quickly. While my initial attack allowed me to get rid of the three enemies in a flash, my strength shouldn't be that far off from theirs. Considering the fact that it's a nine against one scenario, no matter what, I need to keep my initiative!

The bad move is better than not moving at all! Pus.h.i.+ng away from the body to one direction, I turn to the side and slash parallel to the ground, trying to attack the legs of the enemies in that direction. Not waiting for the effects of my attack, I turn back on the back and kicking the ground with my shoulders, I force myself to stand upright. a.s.sessing the situation with just one look, I'm forced to instantly dodge two swords and one spear flying at my head. 

Tilting my body to the side, I slam the nearest enemy with my fist right to the face. Being this close, I don't even need to use my full strength, as I only aim to make some s.p.a.ce for my future attacks. As this one enemy takes a few steps backwards, I move to where he stood just before and avoid another two attacks by doing so.

Not bad, they are actually cooperating with each other! While that's praiseworthy, I can't say that I'm happy about it!

f.u.c.k! That short distraction allowed one of them to sneak a stab on me! 

Even with how resilient my body is, a direct stab from a cultivator of a similar level isn't something that I can take head-on! Gnas.h.i.+ng my teeth, I try to ignore the pain as I slash my sword at the next enemy trying to cut my head off with a wide slash.

What a stupid kid…

While I'm using wide attacks, I'm doing this only to enlarge the area of the cut from my windslord. Executing them while wielding a simple shortsword is just a death sentence!

With his head falling off from his shoulders, there is one enemy less for me to take care of!

Just when I believed that the situation stabilised enough to calm a bit down and just work my way around those peoples, my mind goes blank.

"Predator's mindset activated!"

As my body instantly throw itself to the side, the place where I was standing just a blink of an eye ago, turns into a blazing inferno. Even two of my initial opponents that were standing too close caught the fire and got relentlessly pulled into the fire!

Looking to the skies, I see another figure with aura just slightly smaller than the expert I killed before with my newly acquired ability. But smaller doesn't mean small by any means!

Taking another step back, my body dodges another attack, this time from one of the small fries that I was fighting before. Looking around, he is the last one out of the surviving ones that still have the guts to attack me, after their reinforcements didn't bother with s.p.a.cing their attack to avoid hitting them!

Jumping to the side, I can only watch as my body slashes with my weapon backwards, to lunch itself into the air. Comparing the reaction time of my body and the expert in the sky, there is no way I will lose that fight!

Just as my arm muscles tense up to launch another slash at my current opponent, I see a small figure dropping from high att.i.tude and smas.h.i.+ng right into a said expert!

Before even my body in the focused state managed to react, an overwhelming frost appear in the area, freezing everyone except me and this small figure!

PENGU IS ALIVE!

Wait, the colouring on his fur is slightly different… Isn't that his brother that I helped before?

While in the air, I can't really control my direction or anything. While I can launch myself upwards, my trajectory is given by the directions of my jump or wind wave that carries me. Even with that, my body somehow s.h.i.+fts its weight and managed to aim myself towards the expert! 

Even with the freeze overwhelming the entire area, this man can still move! At this moment, I can see his energy circulating around himself as he tries to channel it into pengu's brother direction. Not giving him any time to defend, my body simply lunges at him with my sword pointing right at his heart!

In just a flash, my sword penetrates my adversary body, before a bout of energy starts ravaging through his body. In the next moment, he is already falling to the ground, dead. 

"Surrender, and we might consider not killing you!"

I guess its the right time for Eve to arrive at the scene!
